Acetek was formed back in 2001 suppling dusk to dawn switches to outdoor advertisers & Security compaines. We develop our range and a website www.acetek.co.uk so our products were availiable to all with our simple online store. Acetek operated solely in the outdoor signage industry designing new optical and electronic ideas from 2001 to approximately 2010 after which time we decided to change our business direction. Having developed a range of professional electronic photocells energy saving dusk to dawn light sensitive sensor switches in a range of different voltages we found great interest from all industries. These included security, home & garden, solar, marine, car and caravaning and of course signage. In addition to these photocells we decided to stock a range of accessories often need to install them. After working with security companies for a time we were asked to develop visual deterrents flashing LED for external alarm boxes both battery and power type variations for which we have seen sales grow and grow. The Acetek site brings many of these security products and photocells to our customers using a simple on-line ordering process.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this fabulous review and from a returning customer. 🙏 Btw the LM 3909 is still available but only at a ridiculously inflated price and is quite inefficient at flashing. If you need an 8 pin device for a project to do this which would last years on 2AA just let me know. Have a great day Des

A pleasure to deal with a helpful and honest company. I emailed them one afternoon and Des responded on the same day giving me confidence to place the order. The order was dispatched within hours of receiving and has been duly received in perfect condition. Will definitely recommend.

Great website and service.
Very easy to navigate the website and clearly identify the merits of each product. Ordering was very straightforward and the process and delivery was simply outstanding - arrived well packaged in less than 24hrs. Led flasher units appear good quaility and were easy to install.

Des is very helpful as I ordered the wrong colour lights when ordering but emailed and Des replied within minutes and sorted it .you can also see his products on YouTube ..thanks a mill👍

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Service was exemplary. Des is an absolute gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. I made an error when I purchased the wrong product from the site - no problem at all to Des -who corrected my mistake promptly. For service, communication, quality, advice (pre & post purchase)- all excellent. I now have a functioning alarm box set up on my Mum's house in Dublin and she's delighted with it. Des sent batteries & brackets in case I needed them (at no extra cost). I opted not to avail of a free pen (to encourage reviews I'd imagine, though I'd have written one all the same) - he sent me one anyway -and (surprisingly) it's great quality! It's rare to encounter such decency and open hardheartedness these days. If Des wrote a book on his life philosophy (I hope he does!) -it would be a must read. Wrong item
After realizing that I ordered wrong item, Des explained my error and I ordered correct photocell. New order was sent next day. Des was prompt in responding and handling the issue and making a satisfied customer.
