Hussein, the driver was very good driver, safe and steady. The vehicle was also good and surprisingly quiet.
Hussein was also intelligent and communicative. Give him a raise!
I got the taxi straight away at Gatwick Airport cars booking desk as I left the terminal - no waiting which was pleasing. And in booking at the desk, the price was fixed and was very reasonable for that time of night and distance.

It was great that taxi was readily available at the airport to take me to my destination nearby in Horley. The driver was courteous and polite.
What was definitely not great is that the cost was £22.00, for a journey of approximately 2 miles!! The drop off and pick-up charge, of £10 per person, per trip, imposed on the taxi companies by Gatwick Airport, seems absolutely extortionate.
I understand that we're experiencing an international crisis which is pushing up fuel prices, but apparently this charge, which started at £5.00 just after Covid has increased by 100% in a period of 5 years......!! It seems to me that lift-share schemes, rather than taxis, might be a good, and cheaper, alternative ?

Bumped Off BA flight from Teneriefe to Heathrow and transfered onto later flight to Gatwick.
Straight to Gatwick Taxi Desk and immeadiate into Taxi and on way to pick up car at Heathrow.
Great Service at midnight.

Ordered a taxi at the airport at 2am ish and the staff were prompt with giving us a rates, ordering a taxi, and told us our driver would arrive shortly. We paid less than an uber and also shorter waiting time. The taxi service is on the arrivals floor at Gatwick, right by the exit.
