Transparency is paramount at Appear Here and we make all efforts to guide our Brands throughout their journey on the platform, which includes the key steps to secure their preferred retail space, all online.

With this in mind, you are initially presented with a detailed breakdown of her cost payable prior to confirming your booking.

You are then prompted to fill in your company and billing details used to populate your tenancy agreement and rent invoices:
:: These details will be used in your legal contract

Finally, you are advised of the payment terms applicable to your booking and are informed as follows :
:: You’ll be charged when your request is accepted

When prompted to enter your card details, you would have read the following:
:: Payments are due monthly in advance.
:: This card will be used for recurring monthly payments.
:: Your card will be charged automatically on each instalment date

As the cardholder proceeding with your payment and the signatory of the agreement, the payment terms are part of your contractual obligations.

We’re sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with your experience.

90% of our deposits are paid within 48 hours, well within the 30-day period in line with your contractual agreement with the landlord. In this particular instance, we wanted to clarify the reason why your deposit had to be settled outside of the 30-day period:

Per your tenancy agreement, the space rented must be returned to its original condition at the end of the occupation, when the keys are returned. It appears that the keys were not returned for a number of weeks, which resulted in delaying the entire process.

We trust that your tenancy was a success and look forward to assisting you in the future.

I am sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with your experience using our platform.

Just a few years ago, most landlords would turn away short term requests in favour of traditional 10 years+ leases. At Appear Here, our mission is to create a world where anyone with an idea can find space to make it happen – this means we’re working hard to provide access to the best streets in the world, for shorter durations than ever before.
Kindly note that prices are set by the landlord and rates do fluctuate according to demand, seasonality and down to the length of your rental. Prices are only final once your booking has been finalised (paid and signed by both parties).

In this instance, I understand that the landlord had initially declined your request. Further to your call, we assisted in approaching the landlord who was reviewing their pricing. We do rely on landlords to update their pricing and are unable to guarantee that they do this in real-time.

We have provided further guidance directly to you through the platform about how to best navigate our platform to find space. Our Service Team is always at hand: do not hesitate to respond through the platform for more assistance if required.

We are sorry we were unable to answer your call on Friday.

Our mission has always been about giving more people access to our streets and reducing the barriers so that more people can participate. As a digital marketplace, we work hard in providing the best tools to list spaces for landlords and to book spaces for brands, all online.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Our booking periods range from one day to over a year. Please note, certain landlords specify minimum or maximum booking periods for their spaces, which we have to respect. In regards to availability, we don’t have access to individual landlords' diaries; your preferred space may not be available on the dates you have chosen, however, it may be available on alternative dates. All requests are also subject to the landlord’s approval.

Unfortunately, the vacancy is quite low in Edinburgh at the moment. The retail market in Edinburgh remains saturated meaning that there are hardly any vacant commercial spaces available. Whilst we have connections with major landlords within Edinburgh, they do not have any supply available on a short term basis.
Long terms leases can take quite a while to complete and it remains at the landlord’s discretion whether they want to maintain their listings available whilst they are negotiating with potential long-term tenants.
