Don't go with ASC360 to avoid the ordeal we went through
I am sharing this because no one should go through this ordeal during a medical emergency.
My name is Murtuza. My wife, Saba B
Husain, is on her Kilimanjaro climb when she fell seriously unwell on the 10th of February, 2026 at a high altitude of 4700 meters (Kibo Huts Campsite). She had continuous vomiting, couldn’t eat, couldn’t walk anymore and had difficulty breathing.
We had purchased high-altitude insurance specifically for situations like AMS from ASC360. Their policy clearly states:
“Medical Evacuation includes Helicopter Evacuations and AMS is covered under this policy.”
However, during this real emergency, we were told by ASC360 after a phone consultation on the 11th of February, that it was “mild AMS” and that the condition was “not severe enough to warrant helicopter evacuation.” In contrast, their doctor has clearly mentioned that this is AMS, has suggested 7 different medicines and advised descent immediately. Yet ASC360 told she should descend with the assistance of local guides and rangers instead of providing any sort of support.
There is nowhere in the policy that defines mild vs severe AMS. Nowhere does it say evacuation applies only in fatal or critical cases. Nowhere has it mentioned that they are not liable AT ALL for such cases.
While Saba was sick at high altitude, we spent crucial hours coordinating calls instead of receiving decisive operational support. Insurance is something you buy hoping you never need it. But when you do need it - especially at high altitude - you expect action, clarity, and commitment.
This experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. We still hold the policy and demanding refund but there is no response from their CEO and other team members as I write this review.
No family should have to argue for help when someone is unwell at 15,000+ feet. If you are planning an expedition, please bear in mind that insurance is unlikely to help in emergency situations. You might have to spend DAYS (with my past experience in Nepal too) coordinating and begging just to seek help with ASC360. ASC360 still thinks they do FAVOUR by paying when it is their obligation.

Avoid - unless you are just looking for a paper in hand.
Those who want to take cover from ASC360, please understand these facts and then decide what you want to do.
1. ASC360 is NOT registered under IRDAI and if they fail to live up to their commitments, there is NO recourse for you.
2. Their "policies" are not underwritten by any major insurance platform, and you are at the mercy of their discretion if they want to entertain your claim at all.
3. They are super quick to issue the "policy", but (god forbid) if you need to file a claim, they will use all kinds of excuses to deny or whittle down your claim.
I am still chasing them for trip cancellation claim which occurred due to Uttarkhand weather and trekking permits getting cancelled.

ASC360 is an authorized partner and distributor for over 15 reputed Indian and international insurers and every policy issued through our platform is legally valid and underwritten by a licensed insurer. We operate fully within the regulatory framework and are trusted by state tourism boards and government bodies across India and abroad.
Regarding your specific case, our Grievance Team has conducted a thorough review. The policy issued to you was correct and active as per your chosen dates and details. However, the claim submitted pertains to events outside the policy coverage period, which unfortunately makes it ineligible under standard insurance terms. Despite this, our team offered multiple solutions and even considered your request in good faith to find an amicable resolution.
Over the years, ASC360 has supported 500,000+ trekkers and facilitated thousands of successful medical evacuations and claim settlements, including more than 100 death and major medical cases, with a total of over $4 million in claims settled so far. Our commitment to the safety and well-being of adventurers remains our highest priority.

My experience with Adventure Sports Cover 360
What I will remember about my experience are:
1. Speed of response
2. Clear and crisp instruction on how I need to raise my claim
3. Prompt clarification of my queries
4. Very very proactive
5. Statement with clarity upfront on what is within scope and what is out of scope of their coverage
6. Speedy resolution of bottlenecks
7. Prompt closure of the claim process. I did not have to follow up on anything - very easy and smooth - right through the process.
I want to close by giving a big shout out to Mr. Gagan Deep Jain Claim Manager who was very helpful and responsive right through the process.
My experience demonstrated that Adventure Sports Cover 360 are very professional

Know the steps to follow in Emergency
We went for hiking to the EBC, in October 2024 and I unfortunately got sick due to Dengue and Elevation sickness and had to take Helicopter back to Kathmandu.
The company Boots and Crampons was horrendous to deal with, as they provided no Guidance.
Point to note is that ASC360 was helpful in arranging for my hospital stay in Kathmandu and we reached an amicable settlement, which is a whole better than these low Lifers at Boots & Crampons.
ASC 360, CEO Mr. Gupta was very helpful and returned my phone calls, even with his busy schedule.
