I have a Garmin Avtex Tourer Three satnav. This is quite an expensive item. It has stopped providing map and software updates. On attempting to update via Garmin Express all I get is "There was an error installing the update". Garmin Express have been useless. I was told to reinstall Garmin Express several times but this made no difference. They eventually gave up trying to solve the issue. It is also possible to update maps without connecting to Garmin Express, which I have done in the past; however, this doesn't work either now. Hence the low rating - I would have given zero rating if this had been possible. The problems have been ongoing since 2025.

Service was superb. Equipment is of the highest quality. Very easy to install and set up, I would recommend Avtex to anyone as I have done to my friends in the caravan and motorhome community

My husband and I have an Avtex 16" TV in our campervan. On holiday, my husband accidentally "snagged" the lead, whilst making the beds up. It came out of it's socket and no longer worked. I contacted Avtex, but didn't think I'd be able to get a replacement lead as the TV is 16 yrs old. When I rang, I was told I needed to speak to the engineers. They posted a new lead out to me at the camp site we were at, but it didn't fit. Altogether, 2 more were posted out but the 3rd one fitted. Because they managed to find the right one for us, we now have a working TV. We had to phone several times when the first 2 leads didn't fit, but they never gave up. We were helped by Tom, who was brilliant and who "went above and beyond" to help us. If I could, I would give them 10 stars instead of 5 stars for their customer service. My rating for them is "excellent".

Never disappoints, this is the 2nd piece of equipment I have had and work better that expected

All good except for the VIDAA app account creation and set-up. Some advice: don’t allow your spouse to try to use the app at the same time as you. Only one concurrent user is allowed. It took me a few very frustrated attempts before I realised what she was doing…

Having previously owned an Avtex TV, our first choice was to buy one again for our camper van from Webbs Outdoors. So pleased with the style, look and sound quality of the upgraded AV21TS model. Picture is superb with easy set up.
Looking forward to our next trip away to use it.

We all know what it’s like when we buy a new product, often excited to get it up and running, often this is where the excitement turns to frustration.
This is where Avtex changes the experience, no thick user manuals to trudge through, no ambiguous instructions just simple a set up card that my grandmother could follow.
After just a few minutes the experience is rewarded with a fantastic picture and great sound quality. Viewed from all angles the picture is clear and without distortion. Freely is a game changer, I didn’t think I needed it but am so glad I have it. The remote is ergonomic and easy to understand and get used to. I would comment on customer service but have had no need to call on them. I could not rate this product higher and it is a great addition for my motorhome.

Frustrating setup of my Avtex 32”. No instructions in box - it’s a puzzle to connect the sound bar. Very little thought to easy setup for a travel TV. Heavy unit - box had sales leaflets inside, Avtex focus on your customer experience first please

Great TV and WiFi router for our motorhome. Very good quality and features and design. A bit more expensive than others but quality build and performance and great technically.

Just bought our 1st touring caravan & needed a dual voltage tv, after checking other makes which turned out to be poor quality, opted for the Avtech 21.5" & we were not disappointed, picture & sound in both 24v & 240v are great, would highly recommend.

Looking forward to using it together with the new sound bar I’m not going to win for doing this review 🤷

Had it fitted to my caravan put in my old smarty Sim had to remove the modem as password is on the back.it would help it a card was put in the box. Other than that all is working fine. Connected to my phone and the speed is very good. Will link it to my TV when I go away on holiday.

Easy to install. Great sound and picture quality

Bought the avtez smart pro tv and router £600 later and what a pile of rubbish. Spend thirty odd pound on sim cards, registering everything . You have to go on a laptop ,configure the network which is not a 5 min job . Did all this while talking to avtex technical for 40 min . It says iv Internet but most things go via the freely site on the tv. And thos is poor. Got to a camp site and connected to a very high quality Internet and tried the wirless option and ethernet . Worked one day then crashed. Nothing wrong with connecting phones on site ,just the avtex. You can switch jyst to aroal mode as the freely rubbish comes on screen and says something went wrong . Im technically minded but I have to say . Get a book to read and dont buy the avex systems . Mine will be going in the bin this weekend .

This is our second AVTEX as we have gone for a larger screen.Super easy to install and setup with a fabulous picture!!!!

Great product. All the latest tech in such a small package.
Both hardware installation and software set up in my camper van was straight forward.
