Unfortunately I did not take notice of other reviews to my detriment, battleground gaming has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with, they inform you your items have shipped and when nothing arrives you spend weeks being ghosted by a nonexistent customer service the only way to resolve your issues is to put a complaint in via PayPal if you were lucky enough to use this payment method, avoid unless you enjoy chasing your money.

Order put in 9th of Feb. 'Shipping update' given on the 13th of Feb, which added a tracking number. Tracking number doesn't update at any point, no items are received.

I contact the store on the 20th. As the order is never listed as shipped on their website at this point, I tell them to cancel it and order replacements elsewhere (I open a Paypal claim at this point, based on previous reviews here).

I get a reply the next day telling me they sent it on the 16th at the end of the day, but don't acknowledge my cancellation request (fair enough). However, tracking still doesn't change and nothing arrives. Two days after I request the cancellation and the initial reply, I check the tracking and see the items have then been dropped at a Post Office the day after the store has replied to me and seen my messages.

In the time it took to get a reply initially, I'd ordered, received and built the items I ordered at the start of the month.

I'm now having to wait for this parcel to arrive to return it back. I've just sent it back as I write this review.

Edit (8/3/24): Here we are, with tracking confirming the return of the items (collected/signed from delivery office on 1/3/24) and still no refund given a week later.

Two orders placed Jan 7th/8th, mistakenly put down as store pick up. Seller contacted later and postage paid, then nothing arrived. By the 15th of Feb I had requested a refund and not received anything, so a PayPal case opened. Seller then claimed Royal Mail had 'found' the package and I would receive soon. Order finally arrived on the 23rd of Feb, with Royal Mail tracking showing it had been posted from Yardley Road Post Office on 21st of Feb. Happy to have order, but I do not appreciate being lied to in regards to what had happened. Had the seller been upfront with me I would have accepted mistakes occur. A shame, but I will never buy from this store again.

I have to admit after reading the reviews that I was cautious placing an order. with Battlefront, but I needn't have worried. Was able to order probably the last box of a discontinued GW product in the UK from them, no issues with payment, good communication re: dispatch and good delivery time. Would recommend, and will use them again.

The online store seems totally mismanaged, has an email system for contact but it appears like it's completely ignored in favour of Facebook.

No email updates, no updates of any kind really had to figure out what was going on through Facebook as that's the only place they'll speak to you, order was delayed by a significant amount and didn't get told why, just one day they finally got around to shipping it, still yet to receive the email saying it's been sent.

You'll have a smoother experience using another retailer, lots to pick from and I don't fancy using this retailer again its been an annoying experience.

Placed an online order, received it. No complaints and will be happy to use again.

Be aware,take your money on pre-order,item never appears,if they do answer just give excuses and then ignore you.stillawairingvrefund week's later,needed to revert to paypal dispute (still waiting to see if successful).will never use again be warned

**Store is very much a scam, steer well clear**
Ordered end of October, and had a dispatch notice day after.
Parcel never attempted for delivery, no reply to emails, Facebook messages and never answer the phone.
No reply to anything. Store refuses to engage so have had to instigate a chargeback with the bank. Absolutely a scam and do not order online!

My go-to for anything Warhammer related, amazing customer service and friendly staff. Great prices, and the store has quickly become my local spot for games too. Couldn’t recommend enough.

placed an order for over £150.00 worth of figures. tried contacting the store for a delivery date as i had had no communication from them. ive tried phoning, messaging and emailing them without any success.
i am now having to instruct the bank to refund the money. Avoid this company at all costs.

I have never given a review before as I usually have other things I want to do with my time but this purchase was such a bad experience I feel that I must comment.
Worst customer experience I have ever had. Total lack of response to any messages sent in any form. Almost a month to deliver items supposedly in stock, when item finally arrives had insufficient postage and it was packaged appallingly.
Don't buy online from this vendor is the only advice I can give you. Still not got the excess postage repaid waiting on a case with PayPal.

I'll just state the facts, as impartially as I can, and leave you to make up your own mind:
Placed order 28th July & received email confirmation of successful payment via Paypal. All items shown as in stock online.
Sent email to query expected dispatch date on 9th August (9 working days since order).
No reply.
Sent FB Messenger chat on 13th August (12 working days since order).
Received reply from Joe via email and FB Messenger on next working day 15th August.
Apologised that my original email had been "spam filter". Informed that my order had been inexplicably cancelled, and that I "should" have had an email to tell me "10 min after ordering" on 28th July (I did not). Informed that a refund would now be processed (18 days, 13 working days, after ordering).
Items still showing as in stock on webstore online.
Sent email back to ask why order had been cancelled.
No reply.
Refund received on 17th August. (Not sure why the refund only came after I chased the order and not straight away that the order was "cancelled" - no explanation was provided - but it did come promptly then at least).

I don't usually give bad reviews but this company seriously needs to reconsider having a web page.
From what I see they are OK at face-to-face sales but out of their depth with web sales.
Bought from their web page. The page acknowledged successful transaction as did PayPal. There was no confirmation email, Then no customer support. Your emails go unanswered as other one-star reviews testify. Ended up getting a PP refund. Save yourself the hassle and don't buy from them online.

Great shop, always meets my requirements for the stuff I need. Joe the owner is super helpful and friendly. Gaming community that has been built around the shop is also great.

I discovered battleground gaming at the start of the year and have a regular customer and member of the community there.

Joe the owner is very friendly and honest about all aspects of the hobby. He is always busy but always has time to help and chat with customers.

I have asked for various items which Joe has managed to get for me. The prices are good and the environment is very welcoming.

But that is just the shop… Joe has built a whole gaming community where everybody is welcome. He caters for anything from pokemon to warhammer. Tables can be booked for gaming and painting etc.

The players in the community are also awesome, meaning that Battleground gaming UK is not just a top shop but also a amazing place to game and be part of the community.

My advice would be to pop in for yourself and check it out 👌

Battleground are brilliant. The website is solid and the store is even better if you get a chance to go down. Never had an issue

The store is stacked to the roof with warhammer, starwars legion, pokemon, yugio, magic, paints, dice, brushes....everything!

its nerd heaven and they don't rip you off with prices.

Stores ran by an awesome dude and its a propper "ran by gamers for gamers" kind of place

Sending my third email today on the third day of trying to get hold of the company because of a delivery blunder on my part. I wrote an incomplete address for delivery and so the parcel was sent back to the company. I have had zero acknowledgement or response from them on how we would proceed or that it has even been sent back to them. Anything would have been nice.

Don't respond to their email. Item still hasn't been delivered 2 weeks after dispatch. Not had this issue with any other hobby site.

Massive selection of stock and very friendly staff

Battleground Gaming is a small, independent store with a fantastic selection of gaming goodies. I've been going there regularly ever since discovering it for the first time a little over a year ago. Joe, the owner, is both passionate and knowledgeable, and always keen to offer help and advice, and there's a thriving community of gamers who meet up to play a variety of games throughout the week. We spent an enjoyable couple of hours there the other night and I'm really looking forward to taking my son along to the next Pokemon League night, and adding to our collections of cards :-)
