We purchased a bed, and paid extra for it to be built.
The bed arrived on time and we was looking forward to this been the last thing to complete the room.
However during Bensons building the bed, the team were not careful and managed to cause damage to the ceiling, the side of a wardrobe and slashed and marked the wallpaper to one wall. So upon them leaving I immediately called the installers and they advised to liaise with customer service in order to make a claim for damages. So I did exactly that I took photos of the damage and prepared a pack detailing all the damaged caused during the install to the bedroom. I liaised with Bensons live chat and via email. I sent the photo pack a total of 4 times as one minute they said they had it on file then the next they said they didn’t. They then reviewed the photos and advised we could submit a claim for damages which we did in November 2025. They advised that I needed to get a quote for redecorating the room, which I arranged and sent to them. Subsequently they advised that the would honour the claim and pay for the work to be carried out. I received written confirmation to that effect. They advised that I would have a refund in 7 days and I received an email stating it would be processed. Seven days passed still no refund…no refund received. So I got in contact again, they advised that they may have got a digit wrong when they tried to process the payment. So I confirmed the account details and they advised it would be processed again and another email confirmation was received, December still no refund so contacted them again as still refund received. Again they advised it would be processed. I advised the decorator was booked and I needed to pay him. Start of January 2026 contacted them again, they said that I needed to send supporting photographs and a quote for the work I advised that I had and again bensons said the refund would be processed in 7days, again this was also confirmed in writing by them. Then I received an email from customer services stating I had to send photographic evidence and a quote to which I replied stating that this had all been sent the photos were sent 4 times and you had confirmed previously receipt of them, I even gave them the girls name who said they were all on file. To this date I haven’t received a reply to this email.so yet again last week I got in contact with customer services again. To advise that the none receipt of the refund had been going on for months as it’s now January and I still haven’t been refunded despite it been promised numerous times. I was advised that they need a quote for the works, but this time I was livid!!!!I explained that this was sent via live chat back in November and still visible on the live chat record. I requested to speak with a manager but instead the person who I was dealing with said they had spoken to a manager and they advised that they would fast track the refund payment and it would be with me in 3 days.. SURPRISE SURPRISE NO PAYMENT RECEIVED.
I am fuming!!!! Just not good enough I want to speak to a manger!!!! Getting a new bed surely shouldnt be so difficult. You order a bed it arrives done. No start emptying the room, have it redecorated again and then put everything back in the room. Then chase for months for them to pay you back for the damage they caused to your home.

The process has been flawless! From fabulous Dale in the Doncaster store, through to the 2 brilliant delivery drivers. They took their shoes off before walking on any floors - a huge brownie point from me! They were courteous. The products were big, bulky, and some heavy, but they managed it well, no boxes touched the white walls etc. thank you for a seamless process. Plus I had lots of notifications about delivery dates and times so I was always in the loop. A huge bravo from me

From walking through the door Dale was inviting & friendly. Didn't pester us just made us aware he was there if we needed help. He was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. He even stayed open 45 minutes after closing time for us so my hubby could attend to test a mattress. Gave us a great deal. Have always used Bensons and will continue to do so.

We've bought several mattresses from them over the years - all excellent quality. This time around, (as on previous occasions), staff at the store were knowledgeable and goods were delivered at the time promised.

It was a really nice an easy shopping experience Martin made it all very easy and he had lots of knowledge which definitely helps choosing the right bed so yes Can’t fault it at all I would recommend definitely.
