My son was a bit nervous for his first swimming lesson but he thoroughly enjoyed himself during the lesson that he is eager to continue with the lessons.

The Customer Service Agents are very polite and friendly. Lovely when I'm going to the gym on a ruff day being met with Care, Kindness and Welcoming Staff.
I have given 4 stars as See that this branch deserves some upgrades in terms of the Swimming, Sauna & Gym Spaces.

I signed up for the Black Tri Tribe Triathlon not knowing how to swim. A year of hard graft with Michael soon solved that. Each lesson wasn’t just about finishing - it was about representation, proving that swimming and triathlon should be inclusive spaces.
Michael understood that mission. He built my technique, confidence, and my belief. His dedication and energy pushed me to be better every session.
Crossing that finish line was more than a personal goal - it was a shared victory. Big up Coach Michael - he doesn’t just coach athletes, he empowers communities to rise.

Terrible experience with this company…
Terrible experience with this company and the Swimbies lessons we paid in advance for at Glass Mill in Lewisham.
The teacher Mark turned up about 5 times then said he was going on holiday and Better didn’t bother finding a replacement even though the class was really popular.
We turned up 4 times along with other parents and toddlers only to find out it had been cancelled when we got there.
Even when the classes were supposed to start again on Marks return in October he had mysteriously vanished and once again no one was there to run the class. Just parents and toddlers standing around lost, wandering what was going on, waiting for a class that was never going to happen.
I applied for a refund but so far have heard nothing back.
Really angry that both Swimbies and Better treated us in this way and my son too who was really enjoying his lessons.

Great gym good location
I’ve made use of this centre on and off since it’s opening it is kept clean and the facilities are good I usually attend pump classes and make use of the gym . Staff are friendly and helpful this makes a great atmosphere.

New member of the gym experience
The health coach was very reassuring, encouraging and informative about my specific situation with my health and devised a tailored exercise plan. I received great advice and encouragement to get me started on my fitness journey. I’m feeling more confident and am finding the gym experience really fulfilling.

Friendly and encouraging.
I have been a client at Glass Mills as part of the Healthwise programme for the past 3 months and have been delighted with all the staff I have been in contact with. Georgia who gave me my initial assessment takes the Healthwise Circuits class and is very knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging. Her classes are tailored to the individual and are challenging and fun in equal measures. Morgan interviewed me as a follow up after my first month and walked around the gym with me asking if I needed help with any of the equipment and then showed me how to correctly use any I was unsure about. I see them both around the site and they always both offer encouragement and support. They're a great team.
I must also say that all the other Better staff at Glass Mills have been extremely helpful Tommy the P.T has offered tips and advice with training and Latesha on the front desk has been most helpful in the event of any issues I have had, from gaining entry to booking classes at multiple Better sites. It's nice to be greeted by name every time I arrive to train or attend classes and I always look forward to going to Glass Mills.

Healthwise classes with Georgia are great. She tailors the class for all abilities and that added touch of good music also makes them fun. Never thought I would look forward to a circuit class each week!

I arrived stressed and frustrated regarding the website error. However staff member Letticia was above and beyond calm professional and quickly sorted out the problem.
She took time to listen patiently and her calmly demeanor and respectful manner helped a situation that was highly upsetting.
