The customer service team are very rude…
The customer service team are very rude specially the usual duty manager I believe he’s name is Shane.
Shane always comes across as aggressive behaviour towards customers specially women.
I have witnessed him shouting at customer, he was not helpful at all he was pointing finger at the customer it was shameful to witness this.
I hope he will be changed as maneger because his not fit for purpose at all.

Staff was very caring and friendly
Staff was very caring and friendly. Staff gave us discount offer to join only which that how supposed to be because the discount is there. I said that because I joined his brother a few days before and we paid double to join the swimming lessons (monthly is same).
Better has some awful and meaningful staff. There is only a few that cares about customers.
I said that too because I know the centre for 25 years which my husband and me are members and now we have 5 memberships with our three children. That’s lot of money in one single house.
Experience with Dylan was great.
But Better is not.

Great centre, classes and staff!
Just joined recently and am attending two classes a week - the centre is well-maintained, the staff at Reception helpful and friendly, and the fitness instructors have been brilliant! So pleased I signed up. Also did the gym induction, again a friendly and helpful staff member, and has all the equipment (and option to get advice) I need. Very happy to have started this membership.

I've been charged a higher rate without prior notice. Even after email customer services a few days ago I have yet to hear a response.

We understand your frustration regarding the increase in your swimming lesson rate without prior notice.
We usually send an email at least a month before requesting new concession proof, and another notification just before your Direct Debit payments increase.
We can see that this has now been resolved, and we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

Unprofessional behaviour of swim area manager
I am deeply disappointed with my experience at this leyton better swimming area. The manager (Shane Coulson) extremely rude, unprofessional, and lacks basic customer service skills. Instead of handling a situation with respect or speaking to me privately, he chose to humiliate and embarrass me in front of other members. This hostile behavior is completely unacceptable. A health center should feel welcoming, but this unprofessional behaviour of a manger makes it toxic. Corporate needs to address this immediately.

Sauna always crowded you cant enjoy group too loud . equipment on the gym is quite enough for your needs ,downstairs is brand new good one .space for stretching is too small good for 4 person only on my own estimated and then locker if you put 20p will not returned to you afterward and toilet not really cleaned. is easy to book for sauna and access entry using your phone scanner anyway not bad at all to distract yourself on your boring day for helping building physically and mentally ,yes it does!

Good swimming pool and clean
Good swimming pool and clean. Could do with more information about times of classes taking place. the large pool is not available Oftentimes in the evening as one cannot swim as classes take the whole pool so you end up being 20 in a small part of the pool. Which is obviously not what one pays for.

Mike is an excellent yoga teacher but…
Mike is an excellent yoga teacher but the room was stifingly hot with a free standing air con machine which had no affect on the space. Mike managed to find a better room but only because it was half term week and the room was free. The air con in the studio needs sorting.

We had a lovely experience
We had a lovely experience, the kids loved it. What a way to spend our Thursday. The staff were amazing, especially Ben, he was so kind and patient with everyone and he made sure he was interacting with everyone and making sure we were all good.

Unbeatable value, lovely staff, and the temperature in the sauna is just perfect. If I had to name a drawback it’d be that it opens too late and closes too early.
