Smelly changing rooms, swim lanes badly managed, burning water in showers
Smelly changing rooms, swim lanes badly managed, burning water in showers- I've been using the Eltham Centre for a couple of years now and these issues have been consistent in my experience.
1.Whilst generally good for children's swimming lessons, water in the shower poses risk of scalding. There is no way to adjust the temperature and it's dangerously hot.
2.Apart for classes, staff would abruptly cram swimmers into a general area (that spans 3 or 4 lanes) without actually separating the lanes,so everyone is chaotically swimming in circles bumping into each other and making for an unnecessarily stressful experience.
3.The floor is always wet in the changing rooms and smelly. Perhaps that's because there are a lot of users of the facilities, perhaps more regular cleaning is in order.
4. The lockers require a payment of 20p which is petty and tedious.
5. Awkward and not easy to find opening hours of various facilities like the small pool or sauna.

My experience of the Weight Management Programme
I really enjoyed the whole experience, my fellow attendees were a great group and hope to keep in touch but our trainers also helped to make the whole experience both interesting but also geared to our individual needs.

Ryan, one of the duty managers
Whenever I have an issue at the centre, Ryan, one of the duty managers, often assists. He’s friendly and polite and available even though he’s busy on his rounds. He deals with incidents promptly and fairly. Ryan greets the regulars on sight and nods to them as he passes. This gives me a sense of community and belonging.

Great value gym
I think this centre is great value for money. I attend a class nearly everyday at various times and variety as lots to choose from. Popular classes like dance fitness and boxing with certain instructors you need to book in advance which is standard at any good gym. Instructors are friendly and very motivating making it enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it.

I have been using the facilities less than a week.
I have been using the facilities less than a week. I would like to go over a few things which hopefully will help to improve the place.
What I liked are:
1:Cleanliness in the gym.
2:It is not very crowded.
3: There is no issue finding an empty locker.
What I didn't like about are:
1: The toilets I personally used both up stairs for gents changing room and down stairs for the pool it wasn't clean. In fact the toilets up stairs for gents was awful each time I used, the first toilet on the left made me nauseated, the second one wasn't clean and unfortunately there were a broken brush which I couldn't use it at all.
2: I used Jacuzzi only one time, it was nowhere near to what I experienced somewhere else, it wasn't hot enough and also it did not pumped the water properly, I was disappointed.
3: To use the locker for swimming pool we must put a 20p which will not be return, we already paying for the membership and this is not what we should expect and pay.

Good Afternoon Ash,
Thank you for your review.
We are very happy to hear that you are enjoying your membership at the Eltham leisure centre. We are very disappointed to hear that the toilets are not in a fit state when you attend the centre and the Jaccuzzi pump does not function very well. I will pass all these issues for the immediate attention of the centre manager so he can investigate and resolve these issues in a timely matter. I apologise that the lockers are chargeable but these will remain in place for the imminent future.
Kind regards,
Charmaine
