I just wanted to give a shout-out to a very helpful member of staff on the reception desk at West View Leisure Centre today (28th August 2026). Mark made me aware that by making myself a pay as you go member, I could save money on my swims at the centre. This is in turn likely to allow me to use the facilities more. Thanks Mark, your recommendation is appreciated!

We're delighted to hear that you enjoy the welcoming atmosphere at West View Health Leisure Centre and that you're making the most of the range of fitness activities available.
We also appreciate your comments regarding equipment maintenance. We're sorry to hear that you've encountered gym equipment that was out of service and broken straps on the rowing machines. Wouldn’t be my first choice
Wouldn’t be my first choice, only attend as it has a ladies only section however this is just a square box room w limited equipment! No AC and one measly fan so you can imagine how stuffy it always is inside. Site always feels dusty and never clean enough

Hi Sharmin,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

The pool is absolutely freezing
The pool is absolutely freezing! My daughter does swimming lessons at the centre and has mentioned it is cold, I decided to swim with her today and it’s ridiculous! She has recently done lessons with school at fulwood and has commented their pool is warm! Why is the temperature so low I have never known a pool like it. I will now be looking elsewhere as it seems this has been mentioned by others and nothing done.

Available spaces on App is misleading
Just recently joined as a member and after booking a fitness swim for 8pm (49 spaces available on the app) was disappointed when arrived as half the pool was closed off to a swimming lesson of only 5 people. Over 15 people arrived for fitness swim resulting in us all being squashed into 3 very small lanes.
