We are worried as this was a 2nd claim on the policy, previously Blue Chip had paid towards £500 a replacement, This time we had a £2000 gearbox failure. Working with a VW specialist garage and Bluechip we worked through our crisis and Bluechip paid out approx 50% of our cost, which was in line with the warranty, We had the "premium" cover which was a little extra when we we bought the car but has proved to have been worth it. Disappointed that we have had these problems with what we believed to be a good quality low mileage one owner vehicle, without Bluechip the pain would have been very difficult to have absorbed. Payment was authorised and settled timely, very happy with the service and outcome. I am wondering if they will renew the policy for another 12 months

I always assume these warranties are a waste of time, but was pleasantly astonished to find this was not! I had a serious issue shortly after buying a car, and the warranty was honoured and payment made at lightning speed.

To be 100% honest, I was expecting a huge battle and them trying to wrangle out of paying.

The exact opposite happened, I contacted them, told them how much the repair was, they authorised it.

I took it to my garage on Monday and it was fixed.
I submitted the garage invoice/receipt along with my bank details.

They tell you payments are processed every Friday.

I was expecting it to take a few weeks to receive the money, but by midday Friday (car was only repaired Monday) my money was in my bank.

We have been using Bluechip for 6+ years and they are the best warranty company I have used in over 40 years in the Motor trade, they will help with difficult claims when other warranty company's will not.

The main battery went flat and I had to replace it myself as I needed my car for work. I didn’t think Blue Chip would refund me as I didn’t have it replaced at a garage. Within three days of contacting them the money was in my bank. Fantastic service. 👍🏻

Had an issue with my car, I rang Bluechip and explained the issue. They advised the claims process which I followed. The claim was paid the following Friday. I am extremely happy with my experience with Bluechip and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Purchased my son a car which came with blue chip warranty within a week of purchase the engine management light came on, it cleared itself when I started the car to see what light it was. Three days later, back on again. Booked car in for investigations, light went off by time it got there. Three days later, back on again. Eventually got car to garage with light on. Fault diagnoses as a PCV valve fault. Told not covered by warranty! What a sham of a warranty if a part that is not normal wear and tear is not covered. Total con. Don’t bother!

The claim was authorised within an hour of submission.
The faulty component was covered (the replacement part being obtained from a motor factor), and the associated labour cost was also covered (reimbursed at the specified £50ph hourly rate)
