Design and quality are excellent. I would prefer if there was less difference between the L and XL sizes. L is slightly small for me, and XL is way to large.

Item ordered did not arrive for over a month after ordering it - to be fair the Breton Shirt Co had indicated that it was a pre-order, but didn't update with how long the wait would be for the item, and they took payment immediately, not on despatch. When I questioned this with them they were quite dismissive. On delivery the item was nothing like it had been described. Sizing with the Breton Shirt Company is inconsistent.

I am very pleased with the product and the service. The information on the shirts is comprehensive; sizing, weight and colours, all easy to understand. My garment arrived within the given time frame and well packed. A good all round experience.

Pluses: great quality cotton, wears well, and good delivery to Australia from the UK. Good to have a different colour, too, like the khaki.
Negatives: despite following the sizing guide, and having several other Breton tops branded as XL which fitted well (though the lighter weight fabric is generally firmer than the 280gsm), this latest XL khaki one is way too big. Will have to take it in.

Wonderfully comfortable and authentic bretons. One of my favourite retail places. Pricing is really good value. Delivery is quick. Hoping that they branch out to authentic French berets.

The quality of the shirts is great, and they do get even better with time (as advertised). Definitely check the size charts before you buy, as they run rather small. But if you stick to the actual measurements on the website, you will be fine. Many online stores outside the EU have, by now, found a way to either circumvent local customs charges or include them in the prices of their products. Here, you can be sure you'll pay your local customs charges on top, which can add quite a bit to the otherwise reasonable pricing of these shirts. Still worth it, but a little annoying.

The interface for this website makes shopping easy. You can search for long sleeve or short sleeve styles as well as named styles. I am a huge fan of the Bateau Mariniere. I was also pleasantly surprised at how fast the package arrived via Royal Post--much faster than dealing with FedEx (who have made it increasingly difficulty for deliveries to the United States)!
