Usual top experience with British Hardwoods. The timber is high quality and free of significant defects. The timber is cut with high accuracy and consistency, thus avoiding unnecessary extra preparation work. The delivery was made by DX Freight, who provided dead accurate tracking and even rang to confirm the expected delivery time when they were 10 minutes away. The 2-man team placed the timber exactly where we wanted it. All done by 08:30am! Excellence in every way. We have traded before and will do so again. 5 stars*****

Excellent quality oak strip wood for edging cabinets. Beautiful quality European oak, cut to own exact dimensions and at a very reasonable price. I’ve had 2 deliveries so far and will be ordering more!

I ordered some ash and oak, specifically asking for wider pieces, and boy did I get that! One piece of ash was 350mm wide 52mm thick and 3m long. The oak was real random live edge pieces, but without calculating what I got, I would say I received a lot more wood than I ordered. Delivery was quicker than expected too. All in all I am more than pleased with my first British Hardwoods experience

First/class product and service from the Company. I’d previously purchased a job lot of band sawn un oiled flooring which was great. This time I ordered the pre-oiled flooring and it is exceptional and is the highlight of my project. Next year I’ll order more of this to complete the house. The lads that laid the floors commented about the outstanding quality and ease of cutting; the finish is simply top class. I highly recommend this company, delivery and communication was spot on.

I'm trying to produce a reproduction late 14th Century medieval chest. I found that screws were not used widely at that time, so these nails were the only option. The delivery was very prompt, as were all stages of the purchase. The nails are extremely well made and look truly authentic. They will be perfect for my project.

These folks have again delivered exactly as requested - ordered 3x cubic feet of ash and needed specific grain orientation and grading, and got exactly what I needed. Ordering wood online for specific purposes is often risky but they've hit it every time!

So incredibly please with the timber I received. It was 3 times cheaper than my local supplier and the delivery was a third of the price of my previous online supplier.

Exceptional quality oak timber. Perfectly straight, well machined lengths at good prices and quick delivery

This was the only place I could find a wide enough real wood threshold after having the bathroom re tiled and meeting a wood floor. The product arrived brilliantly packed and looks great. My only gripe, which I did communicate, is that they have a blanket charge for delivery of £35 and I had to grit my teeth to order a £15 strip of wood and pay £50. Perhaps consider an alternative courier for small orders?
