Delivered my order on time. Got a call of the driver 30 minutes before he arrived at my home, so I didn't have to stay in on the May bank holiday. I was sent emails to keep me informed of my order status and what to do before installing my order. The driver was helpful and informative too.

Customer Service unresponsive and passive
I ordered a very expensive Smeg cooker extraction hood from this company and deeply regret it. My electrician fitted the extractor and was about to fit the stainless steel chimney flue when he drew my attention to a manufacturing fault in the stainless steel where there was a very visible crease/crimp. I immediately phoned customer services and was offered £30 credit which i thought was rather an insult when the cooker extractor hood was almost £500. Subsequently after a long discussion at premium rate, I was told they would request a replacement chimney flue from the manufacturer and it would come within 3-5 days. After a week with no contact, I went through the whole procedure again and I was asked for a serial number. Bearing in mind the extractor fan had been installed, this was not visible. Personally I would have thought the order number and model number of the Smeg appliance would have been sufficient to get a replacement. I have been left with another 'the manufacturer or we will contact you'. I am still waiting. Now I have an extractor fan and no chimney flue. Looks great for £500. I am bitterly disappointed and clearly have made a very expensive mistake buying from this company

Absolutely terrible service and…
Absolutely terrible service and horrible communication,
I made an order over the phone and asked to drop off the cash, which they said was completely fine, the handler got the order wrong so I had to call back,
I then had to call back and correct the order and asked them why the total was different online than the one he sent me via email,
Their answer was they don’t know, they constantly kept asking me if if I made a mistake and my basket was different, I sent them screenshots of my basket and total which showed the exact same items and a different total,
After 4 phone calls and spending all day on the phone, the handler agreed to the basket total and sent a final invoice with a link for me to pay, even though I constantly told them I wish to drop off cash,
I then left it and thought il pay by card to save this hassle, I started a new order as even the order they apparently corrected was still wrong, the second order the payment kept coming with up with errors,
The money has gone from my account and I contacted customer services who blamed the bank, I then asked why no one had contacted me about the complain, she advised there was no complaint or any logs of me calling last week even though I have emails,
The bank have confirmed the payment and they asked why the company changed their name for the payment a few times, now this company are saying they haven’t received the payment and I need to wait 48 hours to see if it has processed even though I paid for a Tuesday delivery,

I bought 2 induction by mistake because the first one I ordered had the wrong delivery address so had to cancel it. By the time I ordered the second one just a few minutes later it had already been processed. Both arrived the following day. Sorted out the return which was so easy to do and received my refund within a few days. Very impressed with their efficiency. Definitely use them again.

Really disappointed with how things…
Really disappointed with how things have been handled by Buy It Direct. We initially had a great experience—Chris Baggot was helpful, responsive, and everything seemed smooth while we were purchasing multiple bathroom items. Unfortunately, things went downhill as soon as we needed to return a product.
We first returned a shower door that arrived faulty. Due to an honest mistake on our end (we run a bathroom fitting business and mixed up items), we sent the wrong one back. Chris kept that item and asked us to send the correct faulty one, which we did. Around the same time, we had another shower door that didn’t fit, and he advised us to hand it to the courier when they collected the other return—which we followed exactly.
From there, everything became incredibly frustrating. We were told the second return hadn’t been received and couldn’t be located in any warehouse. We’ve spent the last two months chasing updates, repeatedly emailing and being told it was still being looked into. Despite our patience and understanding, we’ve received no resolution and, crucially, no refund.
Now, after all this time, our emails are simply being ignored—including attempts to contact someone else within the company. (paul holland) At this point, they have two of our shower doors and we’ve been left out of pocket with no answers.
It’s extremely disappointing, especially given how good the service was at the start. The lack of accountability, communication, and follow-through since then has been unacceptable. We’ve been more than reasonable throughout, but this situation has been dragged out far too long with no resolution in sight. We don’t know what to do anymore, i will try and ring them next week but it all seems very unfair as this is a lot of money we are now out of pocket and they have two shower doors of ours without giving us a refund.

Great price for Product compared to other online vendors. Shipping very expensive (£6.95) which is disproportionate to other online vendors - however, with shipping, total price with product was still below other online retailers.

Avoid this company
Avoid this company! I ordered 2 items from them that were not delivered to me. Because the courier claims to have delivered them, Buy It Direct/Appliances Direct have said that I will not be receiving replacement items or a refund. This is in breach of The Consumer Rights Act 2015 section 28.
The 'proof of delivery' photo shows my items outside my property ON THE STREET, not in my garden or in my secure shed or porch. These items were not there when I got home. I raised the issue with customer services & their claims handler 'Mark' is the most rudest ignorant person. His claim that 'you should've been at home to accept the delivery' is a legal requirement is absolute nonsense. When told that this is a breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 & I will also be reporting this to Trading Standards his response to that was 'go file a police report'.
This is a cowboy outfit that do not honour their legal duties to provide the goods paid for. They have taken my money, received proof that the items were never even on my property yet they refuse to replace or refund the items that were never received. One questions whether this is a deliberate scam with Evri, where the items even left? Why was there no attempt to enter my garden to drop the items off or leave them in a safe place?
This will be reported to all relevant authorities. I am now having to contact my bank for a chargeback to be activated so I can get my money back.

I bought a char broil bbq which arrived quickly and in good order. It was great value for money too. I received a second gas pipe separately and not the bbq cover so I think there was a mix up at the warehouse. I contacted BID and they responded within very quickly and got the cover sent immediately and I received within 72hrs so it was resolved quickly and easily. No drama from my side. I’d shop with them again
