Tumble dryer repair
I DO NOT recommend this company. I paid an £85 deposit, the engineer came within a few days, 4 weeks later the part is still on order. I’ve phoned weekly for an update, with the last 2 weeks concentrating on a refund, because I have a terminally ill sick person and I need my dryer working. Every time I ring, the goal posts move, or I hear a different story. The service is appalling!
Terrible terrible terrible
Terrible terrible terrible. I reported my dishwasher needed repair mid-December. 1st appointment waited in 3 hours. No engineer. 2nd appointment diagnosed needing a part. 3rd appointment came with the wrong part. The 4th appointment didn't turn up. The 5th appointment (yesterday)came (3 hours later than the allotted time) and said I didn't need a part and took it away, saying the dishwasher was in fact fine. Later that day, the dishwasher was still broken, and it is now 5th February, nearly 2 months later - still no working dishwasher. I have wasted countless hours of my time waiting in. I have asked the complaints department to call me urgently, but they haven't bothered. If I have managed speak to someone in this process, they all blame someone else in the company and are unapologetic. I have given up and have called Domex who were polite, efficient adn are coming tomorrow,

Extremely Poor Service and Zero Accountability
My recent experience with Capital Repairs has been nothing short of appalling. In my opinion, this company has shown a complete lack of professionalism, competence, and basic customer care.
I paid £114 for an engineer who spent only a few minutes on site, provided what I believe was an incorrect assessment, and left without offering any real help or solution. To make matters worse, the explanations I later received from the office were inconsistent and didn’t match the actual condition of my appliance.
When I requested a refund based on this poor experience, I was met with silence. No acknowledgement. No explanation. No resolution. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, my messages were completely ignored, which only added to my frustration and concern about how this company operates.
In my experience, Capital Repairs did not deliver the service I paid for, did not communicate responsibly, and did not take any accountability when things went wrong. Being ignored after raising a legitimate concern was the final straw.
I am now having to escalate the matter through my bank and external consumer protection channels because Capital Repairs has given me no other choice.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and would strongly advise others to think twice (AVOID) before using their services.

UPDATE:
After the initial call out in September - the multiple no shows and wrong parts, this morning have been advised that to "resolve" the matter they will be returning on the 19th DECEMBER !!! If you can shell out in advance for a service that is estimated to repair your oven in FOUR MONTHS then go ahead and book a call.
Used to be such a good repair service. Last issue with washing machine took 4 visits to resolve and each time a new part was blamed and invoiced.
Now having the same issue with a repair to oven. First call out engineer suggested the part required (despite saying he was really a gas engineer and not really a electric oven guy!). Appointment to fit new part over a week later was cancelled last moment due to staff illness.
Two weeks without oven and new part fitted, after he leaves the oven trips the house circuit board again and clearly not resolved.
Another 5 days before new engineer, says a different part - do they have shares in part manufacture as I am rebuilding each appliance as we go?
Ordered part, week before engineer can fit but then he phones 30 minutes after expected arrival time to say part is busted so not coming .
So much time wasted and cost in wasted parts
Disappointing before even attending...
I’m really disappointed with the level of service I received. The engineer never even attended the job, yet the company still kept the full callout fee, which is completely unacceptable.
No one informed me beforehand about needing a parking permit, and when I explained that there was free parking available on nearby side roads, no effort was made to help the engineer find a space or to rebook the job. Travel and parking are not the client’s responsibility, and the lack of flexibility or understanding was shocking.
To make matters worse, there was no email confirmation or written follow-up about any of this. I had to chase everything myself just to get an explanation. Overall, a really poor experience from start to finish, unhelpful communication, no accountability, and zero customer care. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
Be warned
Capital Repairs does not repair anything, they outsource it to Autowash, which also does not repair anything but collects your money and organises their subcontractors’ (Pacifica) visit to do actual repair. You can agree the date but not the time of the service (which is texted to you at night a day before). Due to the luck of direct communication and responsibility, the service is shambolic and Pacifica’s technicians just don’t care. After long wait for parts, one was to arrive but called that he couldn’t find a free parking (nobody told me they want customers to pay their parking) and just drove off. He was rescheduled to come again but didn’t even show up. I asked for a different technician, who had a better attitude and was more reliable. He did the job (although not to a standard and he had to come back again to make additional repairs). A relatively simple repair took a month to do. Overall, terrible experience, much better to find an independent technician, with whom you can deal directly.
The good and the not so good
I needed a replacement door for a Viceroy fridge/freezer supplied by Wren Kitchens. Thanks to Wren, I got the number of Capital Repairs with a London number and Dipak was able to source a door for me and get it delivered within 24 hours. Brilliant. Thanks very much Dipak. On the reverse of this good service, I tried to call him to say thank you only to have 5 minutes of my life wasted listening to waffle. Eventually, I spoke to someone I am guessing was in the Far East who had never heard of Capital Repairs. Clearly a big clumsy corporation that's swallowed a good service - not for the better.
The engineer knew Capital Repairs we’re unable to obtain parts for this machine
When I booked the service call, I explained that the machine was aV-Zug steam oven knowing it was a rare machine. To be fair Capital Repairs had previously carried out a repair on this machine in November 2021 therefore I had no reason to doubt that they were able to obtain parts and carry out the replacement of the oven lamp. Anyway, they turned up on time. Stayed about 10 minutes. Explained they were now having difficulties getting parts for this machine and that was the last I heard they charged me £109 for the privilege said they would try and find parts but nothing happened and when I eventually contact them to chase the repair they said they couldn’t do it and refused any refund.
Getting The Address Right
I approached Creda for some parts to convert my Creda Oven to LPG. Creda raised the order with Capital Repairs. Capital Repairs contacted me to confirm the delivery address, which I had given to Creda, as the Post Code did not match the address. Dips, the chap I spoke to on the phone, not only spent time looking up the correct post-code, also kept track of my parcel to ensure it was going to the correct address.
If only the Government could work to this efficiency.

I would never dream of using this company for ANY repairs
I saw on their website that they do microwave repairs so rang them. The guy was very abrupt, said they don't do microwaves and hung up. I found another part of their website saying they do microwave repairs with a different number. Thinking that this must be a different department I rang the number, but guy the same guy who told me they don't do microwave, that I had just rung them and hung up. I would NEVER dream of using this company for any repairs at all
Failed to fix washing machine or refund my money
They sent a trainee who was unable to fix the problem with my washing machine. They then arranged to send a proper engineer, who never turned up. After that they never answered my phone calls or emails, in which I was asking for a refund. Eventually I had to dispute the payment with my credit card company to get my money back. Website states they are a local family run business, but call centre (which never answers calls) seems to be hundreds of miles away, so perhaps they have been taken over?

Very helpful in the office to book my tumble dryer in for repair, kept updated on the day and time of the repair. Zulfi the engineer called me on the morning to say when he could be expected and he arrived when he said he would, very friendly and professional at the same time, new what he was doing and found the fault instantly and fixed my tumble dryer for me, great service, need more guys like this in the world. I recently had the pleasure of working with Zulfi from Capital Repairs to fix my broken washing machine, which wasn’t washing or spinning my clothes. From the moment I reached out, the prompt response from the team was impressive, and Zulfi's professionalism and expertise truly stood out.
He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the issue, demonstrating a deep understanding of the machine's mechanics. What amazed me the most was how efficiently he worked; within just 20 minutes, my washing machine was up and running like new!

Capital Repairs cancelled our repair. On 9th January I asked for a refund of the money paid up front. They said 10 working days. Very poor customer service.
Diabolical
Whole experience with this company has been thoroughly frustrating, disappointing, awful!
I have had them come out to repair my gas hob ONLY FIVE TIMES! First engineer was utterly useless and did not know what he was doing. Ordered parts and hob still not working. The second engineer identified that the first one had in fact made matters worse by removing something he should not have. Had an engineer called Kam out the last time who told us that a part - already paid for by us - he believed to be faulty and would get that reordered for us.
Resolutions team previously had been supportive and we felt assured at least that it was going to be finally sorted. Now Mark Smith has emailed me saying we need to pay another £150 or so for parts - which means I will have paid almost £300 to date. He has completely ignored the fact that the company’s own engineer told me that the previously ordered part is faulty and should be replaced at NO cost to us and how many times the company have been out to try to repair the appliance.
Honestly wish I had never come across Capital Repairs. Save yourself time, money and a big headache.
Looking to contact Trading Standards as no company should be operating in this terrible manner.

Rating this as one star because its not possible to rate ZERO. Booked via Capital Repairs as they are based locally, but they do not advise you this is no longer a local shop service and has been bought by a national group, Pacifica. Paid for a repair on 2nd November, then paid for parts and my machine has still not been repaired. Multiple appointments where engineers failed to attend, and most recently an engineer attended but without the neccessary parts. Do not use this company, also trading as Pacifica and don't be fooled by the local telephone number.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING
I was really stuck as I had been given a replacement dishwasher from my insurance company. I used Capital repairs to disconnect my old dishwasher and install the new one. Franco the owner was fantastic and knowledgeable with the advice he gave and the team that came to my home were friendly, CLEAN and efficient.
I am now going to use Capital Repairs to buy appliances going forward - no more going to the big chain stores. A really helpful place and I can't recommend them enough!!!!!!!!

Over a year later and hundreds of…
Over a year later and hundreds of pounds down my cooker is still not repaired. First person came. Not corgi registered so could not deal With gas. Okay, so I wait for a new appointment many weeks later. Man comes, does not have parts, promises to come back with them when they arrive. Replace his parts, leave cooker not properly put back because it is “too heavy”, says job is done and leaves. Job not done, still not lighting properly. Comes back a couple of months later, diagnoses new parts needed, couple of hundred quid later get them installed, still not fixed. Many months later, same thing again, a couple of hundred quid lighter, claims it’s fixed, it is not. I’m told I cannot have a refund, as parts (which I do not need have been installed. I’m now told that the reason it can’t be repaired is that there is rodent damage visible from the back. If this was a problem from the start, why charge me several hundred pounds for parts I did not need, making repeated visits to install them. All in all, not a happy experience, and not entirely convinced that The Engineer really knew what he was talking about. I would strongly advise people to avoid this company. I should, to be fair, note that I have had a refund of the last set of parts, but not the total costs I have paid to this rather useless company. They claim the work is guaranteed but this is meaningless. It is not.
