Absolutely shocking company
Absolutely shocking company. Sold a car not fit for the road which engine blew up in after a week. They have taken car back 8 weeks ago and still not received a refund or an update on any repairs needed for the car. Every phone call and email is ignored. REPORTED TO TRADING STANDARDS

Baught a car from this garage and within 5 days returned it!
The reason I baught a car was to get my payments down with my partner leaving me and me struggling financially. Instead it cost me.
First looking at the car I was so happy. My sales person was helpful and before purchasing was promised a new timing belt and waterpump as the milage was high. *which i have in writing.
The car was up for Under £5000 but with me being in negative we agreed they pay my finance on my existing car until it was sold.
All is well and good.. until
I collect the car. Think nothing of it, took it to a garage to get looked over and was told there is no way that the timing belt and waterpump had been done. I contacted them for this to be proven, was promised the receipts and still to this day have not received this!
Couple days later on my way to work I got from my home adress to a shop 3 mins away. A warning came on, car engine overheating had to stop immediately!
My partner looked at this for me (lucky he was there) the coolant was gloopy and thats due to them mixing it.
He called the garage, which i understand he was irrate at this point as we had nothing but issues, told them I needed to take the car back to which I was told was not possible ( I have not had the car for a week never mind the 14 day cooling off period ) I then contacted my sales person, he advised to ignore that, he didn't want an unhappy customer and with me not even having the new log book yet I could just take my old car away.
Went to pick my car up with my dad, we pulled up, got out the car and sales manager was stood spraying my old car with somthing to remove some bird 💩 to stop it damaging my paint work as its acidic ( which i do appreciate) However, he is on the phone speaking about me to someone while I'm stood there looking at him. I do wish I didn't shout up but I did, I made him aware I was there, to which he came over and basically argued with us about this timing belt and water pump being done. At this point I was past caring so left it.
He advised when I get the logbook to take it down so he can he sell the car, completely understand and left.
Couple weeks later, baring in mind I now have a NEW car from somewhere else. I checked my bank and the finance company took the first payment! Called the garage as I was told this was rewound and wouldn't effect me before taking the car back, they said they would look into it and call me.
NEVER GOT A CALL!
At this point am angry, I go to the garage, asked them what was going on to be told that I have to call the finance company and get this done myself! ( the finance company told me this was not the case and it was only applied for the day I was sat there! YESTERDAY 10th April 2025!
They said they could see the rewind was applied for 10.04.25 and they are waiting for the repayment from the garage. I told them of this, they look at me confused and said they will get it done.
He asked me for the log book and I once again advised I did not have it, we left.
WITHIN 2 HRS OF LEAVING THIS GARAGE I GET AN EMAIL! It's from DVLA saying they had been advised I was now the owner of this car I handed back a while ago now, and to wait 5 days for a logbook.
I contacted the DVLA who told me it was applied for in my name YESTERDAY 10.04.25
I said i don't have the car however this can't be undone and now I'm responsible for it until I get the log book and contact them again to advise the dates of purchase and hand back! The day I picked the car up was 26thMar25
I returned it on 31stMar25!
It's pointless telling them how unhappy you are with the service as they get quite abrupt and tell you your wrong, which if you look at other people's review replies on here you can see also!
So I will be taking this further they need stopping!!
DO NOT GO HERE, the stress it's caused me is unbelievable.

Purchased a finance car which was sold not fit for the road! After purchasing the car, I had it a total of 3 days in 3 weeks due to it needing to go into the garage. Handed the car back due to obviously not wanting it (finance and dealership agreed) and now (3 months later) the finance company still haven’t received the funds from the dealership to get the finance settled and they have now taken payment (for a car I haven’t got!) the garage has also sold the car on again (showing as ordered on the website) with outstanding finance on it!!
BE WARNED AND AVOID!

I purchased a BMW X5 just before Christmas, it’s been nothing but problems, slow puncture straight away, when I contacted them they tried to accuse me of vandalism and puncturing my own Tyre! Eventually agreeing to pay for a new Tyre which was appreciated at the time. Then we had an oil leak a few days later which caused a horrible burning smell when driving, mechanic told us that this has been leaking for a while and the previous owner will have known about this for sure! Claimed through our warranty to pay the £500 bill!
A few weeks later we had a coolant leak next, then an issue with the exhaust and now the engine is smoking and no mechanic knows what the issue could be! Again claimed through warranty for the £350 bill!
I believe they’ve purposely and knowingly sold me a car with issues, it’s a beautiful looking and driving X5 but has so many serious problems. When you purchase a car you don’t expect to have problems back to back, multiple mechanics telling you that you’ve purchased ‘a problem’ this isn’t a coincidence because I’ve never seen so many negative reviews!
On top of all that! The part exchange log book wasn’t transferred by carlanduk so I’ve been paying tax on my previous car for 3 months and now I’ve had a letter telling me to sort it out or I’ll be fined, because the team are carlanduk are so unprofessional and haven’t dealt with it - I have to!
Update: They have now replied to my review aggressively as they do to ALL negative reviews which speak volumes!

I like to warn people I highly recommend DO NOT go to Car Land UK
I bought a car last year and constantly in garage every two month from purchase. There was a coolant leak in May. They fixed it - it was the water pump. A few month later another coolant leak and finally found that the problem was the water pump. They have ignored my messages regarding paying for this since they already did this work and had to go elsewhere. Im off to get advice about this. Now ive got rid of it due to more problems. A disgrace !!

Amazing company to deal with. Myself and husband had been trying to find a new car and not considered purchasing online as we were unsure about it. We found the perfect car here and Adrian explained everything clearly. The whole process was great from start to finish. Our new car was delivered all the way to Devon. The after care was exceptional, Stacey arranged everything and rectified some minor issues very quickly. I would definitely recommend Car Land and would certainly buy from them again. Absolutely fantastic service bought a Peugeot 3008 from garage great service from start to finish, all work was carried out before collecting as requested, full years MOT added even £30 in the tank :) Totally recommend this garage. Also the bathroom in the garage is something else lol
CAR LAND UK NOT FOR ME
I’m going to leave a honest review on my experience with Car Land uk,
I bought a car back in September 2023 with a warranty package I always do this for extra piece of mind, the car was delivered to my address as I lived 300 miles away at a added cost, customer service was great selling the car but when issue’s arrived with the purchased car slow response and excuses were made, first I would like to express my disappointment in the warranty coverage seemed like all work was partly covered and I was made to pay half the bill on all occasions and left me with a heavy bill to pay off and still paying off!
I had issues with the breaks lines and this was not picked up by there mechanic they were heavily corroded & needed to be replaced also had to provide pics for repairs to be made,
I also had to repair disc & pads and replace a calliper after explaining to the sells team for weeks regarding this, there response was to monitor it, this was a extremely costly bill and could of been avoided when it came to financing this they said it was ware and tare, so they wiggled out of that.
Not only that I had other issues relating to this vehicle such an engine management light repeatedly coming on and off again told to monitor it.
I took my car to a VAT garage and found out there was problems with the drive system fault throttle body costing £672 to repair.
These faults were reported within the first 4 weeks of owning the car!
I thought this must be it surely nothing else but unfortunately for me this was not the end.
In 2024 October I had a serious leak from the sump and the crank shaft seal needed to be replace this was not a cheap job costing over £1500.
Lucky now I have had no problems, overall I’m disappointed in the quality of communication and willing to help, after reporting issue after issue and waiting a longtime for a response.
I’m very disappointed after spending a good amount money on what should of been a reliable car that was how it was sold to me and make me think were they aware of these issues before delivering it to my address.

I was struggling to find a second hand car, one that was within budget and large enough to transport my self and the grandchildren around. I contacted Carland because they had an impressive range of cars on their forecourt. Was invited along to take a look, I wasn't disappointed. Sales staff were not pushy,very informative and allowed me time to peruse a particular car that caught my eye. The car was great but a little over my budget, I went to speak to the staff and we came to a very good conclusion which enabled my purchase of the vehicle. I would happily recommend this company to anyone looking to buy a decent car.
I couldn't fault the whole process from start to finish. Extremely satisfied customer. I will certainly return in the future.

I can not praise the company and staff enough, I recently purchased a car and they went above and beyond in all aspects. After care is very important to me and I can not fault the company at all, always at the end of a phone and willing to guide and advise on a ny issues. Would highly recommend.

Well here goes a bad car
Well here goes, I bought the Range Rover Evoque that they now currently have up for sale a few weeks ago. I literally had it 2 days, it was delivered to me so that was a plus, but it was basically unroadworthy, I don't even know how it got an MOT all issues were an instant fail, a slashed tyre, dodgy headlights, tyre pressure sensors not working all fails. I never drove the car myself because of the issues and requested they come and collect it and refund my money plus my expenses for insurance and road tax on a car that should never have been sold. I can only say they did collect it, I did get my refund but before they collected it they put it straight up for sale with non of the issues addressed. I queried this and they said it takes a few weeks to sell a car so they'd sort it. Anyway not my problem I was glad to get rid, I did not accept the kind offer of repairs as to be truthful once bitten twice shy. This Evoque is up for sale for nearly £10,000 but after I'd had it inspected the repairs would cost a lot more.Plus there was the fact that the MOT should never have been issued which they said they were shocked to find such problems....hmmmm. I would advise anyone to put aside the impressive show room and the nice chat and have the car thoroughly inspected. I was terribly disappointed and will not be repeating that mistake. And please if it's faulty don't let them repair it, it will take too long and the MOT garage is untrustworthy

oh dear I seem to have hit a nerve at carland regarding their bitter reply. I stated I received a refund of all and I asked for the insurance tax and extended warranty to be refunded you didn't offer so let's get that right. I stated the delivery was a plus! And I did say I didn't believe the faults had just occurred whilst delivering it to me. Point infact to the issue of the drivers side front tyre that had been slashed in the tyre wall and filled with black gunk....a picture of which I posted on my Google review as you can't put pics on here. Please Mr Carland don't tell me that also happened on the way to deliver my pristine car it's an automatic MOT fail.
So though you did kindly offer me a courtesy car for the weekend I believe this was on the premise that I allowed you to fix the car of all it's faults. I declined as I didn't need a courtesy car and certainly didn't want a repair. And you say "most" garages would have fobbed me off, well I can tell you legally the couldn't as I rejected the car after 2 days and even after 30 days I'm within my rights, it might have been slightly stressful but I can assure you I would have been refunded. I don't know what this "please tell the people" thing is I'm an ordinary customer not a political orator so that seems daft
So please don't call me sour I'm not I had a bad experience and am perfectly entitled to leave my review even after you tried to call me 3 times after it was posted.... Wonder why? I'll be posting a review on auto trader now after your billious comments, so sue me.
Good news though Range Rover Evoque Coupe is mine, plus an MOT with No advisories
