Worst Bank

Worst, Most Negligent Bank I’ve Ever Dealt With

This bank is an absolute disgrace. I reported fraudulent transactions immediately after receiving their own payment notification, yet they failed to stop the charges. Instead of protecting me as a customer, they allowed the scammers to take my money and then tried to blame me for their own incompetence.

Their customer service is a joke. One employee says one thing, another says something completely different. No one asked me for documents at the time of my complaint, but later they closed my case claiming I didn’t submit any! That’s nothing but manipulation and an excuse to avoid responsibility.

Worse, I strongly question how my personal complaint details were leaked, because shortly after filing with the bank, I received a suspicious call pretending to be from the Central Bank. And guess what? More fraudulent transactions followed that call. How is this possible unless the bank’s own systems are compromised or reckless with customer information?

The amounts lost were not small:

* **AED 25000**

And yet CBD had the audacity to call these “legitimate” transactions! Booking.com fraud, unauthorized withdrawals, clear scam activityignored completely by a bank that claims to “protect customers.”

This is the most anti-customer, careless, and unprofessional institution I’ve ever seen. Instead of stopping fraud, they cover up their failures with policies and excuses. Instead of helping customers, they protect scammers.

I will be reporting this to the Central Bank and will make sure to share my story everywhere online so others are warned. If you value your money and your security, stay away from this bank.

Not good for salary transfers if you…

Not good for salary transfers if you can't maintain 5000 AED balance. There are better offers with other bank with zero minimum balance. You have to pay 105 AED every month if your balance go down from 5K.

I have been using a Commercial Bank of Dubai account for the past one year in which my salary is coming in. Up to five thousand of my salary is coming in this account every month and I tried to apply for a credit card in this bank many times which was rejected every time so I visited the branch and told my problem they took my number and told me that our team will call you and although I have received calls but my problem has not been resolved yet I am very angry with the service of Commercial Bank of Dubai which may not have resolved my problem yet. I should close account and open my account in another bank because their service is very slow.

Before I join Chemical Bank Of Dubai

Before I join Chemical Bank Of Dubai everything was fine.I just woke one day 105 deducted form my money for bank chargers for people who have below salary not up to 5000 .I feel that too much at less you make less deductions ,but that amount is too much ,moreover most companies don’t even pay us up to 5000 for we the youth ,I wish something should be done about that .at this moment I need to change bank because is too much deductions.please consider this matter because people below 5000 salary are all changing bank because your chargers is too much .thank You

I interduced all my friends CBD bank is best bank...I like to bring to your notice that Ms.SARAH and Ms AYASHA is excellent on there work ...specialy Ms .SARAH she is very kind and help full with all the nationality...she can be a piller to your CBD bank..For so many years this is the first time I met Ms.SARAH..

im speaking in behalf of my guardians since their to afraid to speak up

this bank is great and all but theres this one certain dude who i think is a manager?....im not sure but who ever the thing is he is named after the name Nicole?.. Nikole.. nickol.. he is really mean like he is straight up a mean guy.. im a child btw... this banks better off without this nickole dude... like i feel bad for the people who work under him like seriously he should be fired.. a leader is someone who leads a group.. someone who inspires people who helps them reached their assigned goals.. and from what i know nickole is a leader with hidden life problems and insecurities that he inflicts on others lower than him... the main point is see its good to have a strict leader but he doesn't have to be mean its either he changes or the bank changes the leader... i believe the main leader of the back someone who is higher then that nickole guy should take action someway unless well he is like nickole too.... either way its not my problem really.. im a child btw and if none of you adults who work there aren't gonna speak up then ill do it anonymously .. im doing ya'll a whole late of favor.. your welcom :)

WORST BANK EVER!

Extremely Poor Security and Customer Service – A Nightmare Experience

I’ve had not one, but two horrifying experiences with this bank, and I feel compelled to warn others.

The first incident happened in September 2024. I received an SMS stating I was debited AED 1,500+ — a transaction I never authorized. My hands were shaking with panic as I called the bank immediately. Unfortunately, their customer service line is not toll-free, and I had to go through multiple automated menus for nearly five minutes before I could speak to an agent — far from ideal in an emergency.

The representative informed me that an investigation was required and I would need to wait up to 120 days for a refund. On top of that, they blocked my card and issued a new one — and then charged me for the replacement, even though the fraud was clearly not my fault. I lost my money, had to wait four months to possibly get it back, and was unfairly charged. Friends advised me to switch banks after that experience, but I gave this bank another chance — a decision I now deeply regret.

Then came the second incident in May 2025, just a day after I received my salary. I got several SMS messages with OTPs that I didn’t request — clearly a phishing attempt. I ignored them, but to my shock, I was debited AED 4,366. I called the bank again, this time crying out of frustration and disbelief.

Their response was the same: wait for an investigation. A week later, they called to tell me the transaction wouldn't be refunded because an OTP was “initiated.” I explained, again, that I never authorized anything, and I certainly didn’t enter any OTP. I’ve become much more cautious after the first incident — I would never fall for such a scam. The agent showed no empathy whatsoever, and I ended the call in tears.

To make matters worse, this same thing happened to a colleague of mine — she lost over AED 6,000 and had to wait 120 days to get it back. She wisely changed banks after that. I should have done the same the first time.

I now live with constant stress and anxiety about my finances. I share this to warn others: if you're considering opening an account with CBD, don’t. The security measures are weak, the customer service is slow and unhelpful in emergencies, and they treat fraud victims like they're at fault.

Avoid this bank. Protect yourself.

@CBDUAE your Support Team sucks! they don't even know how to respond to customer and I was paying my Credit card statement on time I have been charged unknown/undisclosed amount on my credit card without my knowledge your Application sucks it does not have clear view your support team they just repeating same automated emails without any knowledge what customer is going through, I was paying my card bills as per my application statement there is some hidden charges which just comes to you email via monthly statement after two months I see it has rose to 2000 Buck's what a misery!! you need to answer or let's meet up in court.

Very Bad.

very bad.. avoid this bank.. cancelling my credit card without any valid reason, and didn't give my cashback. worst customer service as well especially the lady Nama.

Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) is the worst bank ever, I was Fuaded 22,000 AED because of poor credit card protection .

some one used my card in Vietnam in a spa , and Fish restaurant every 10 mins 6K and I was reporting the Fuad and getting charged while waiting with the customer care .

they did not help and they took my money . avoid this bank.

thier horrible fraud protection , called me after I reported the fraud and asking if I need to block my card. My card was reported to them and closed. they have zero customer care . CBD is the worst bank

CBD bank leaked my Emirates ID to a scammer. She took aed28000 from my credit card and now they keep sending reminders and threats to start legal proceedings. I reported the scam to the police and the CBD fraud team, 2 months later still nothing has been done. Stay away from this bank.
