Hand's down the worst bank ever

Hand's down the worst bank ever. It used to be a great bank but a couple of years ago it all went downhill. First they increased the maintenance fee to 100+ AED which is higher than any other bank, then a new scam, if you ask them to close your bank account, they'd keep it active for 6 months to maintain their numbers on paper but this wasn't a problem for me, recently tho, my emirates ID expired, the same day they blocked my access to the app which meant I couldn't manage my cards, transfer or basically do anything without visiting the bank. The federal law allows residents to renew the card in 30 days after the expiry, and no other bank disables your access during the grace period, however this particular bank does not care what the federal law states. What's even funnier, even if you renew the ID the same day or a day earlier than it expires, it is delivered atleast a week later which technically means they'll still block you from using your own bank account. Customer care is non existent. After banking with them for 6 years, i decided to end my relationship with them due to this.

I got really a bad experience with this bank, they send to me message and they invite me to change my previous card it was the master card to an visa card and they said the visa card has more benefits than the master card, while i am trying to make urgent payments with the new card it get refused i try to get an explaining from the bank and know what is the issue they said that i can’t make it and i should make something else except this , so there is no benefit in this card , while my mom is sick and i need to doo a lot of things for her they was saying wait and we can’t do nothing for you , because of this bank and this card. my mom’s situation become more bad cuz the payment wasn’t successful, and also i got an very bad treatment from the manager who was shouting on me and his voice was so loud .

⭐ 1-Star Review: False Promises for Credit Card Sign-Up**

I signed up for COMMERCIAL BANK OF DUBAI (CBD) ’s credit card last month after an agent SANTHIYA AND TEAM assured me of a **free gift** upon approval. Despite repeated follow-ups, the bank has **failed to deliver** the promised gift or provide any clear resolution.

This is **unprofessional and misleading**—if banks can’t honor basic commitments, how can customers trust them with bigger financial services? I regret applying for this card and warn others to **get all promises in writing** before agreeing.

CBD, take this as feedback: Fulfill your promises or stop using gifts as bait for sales.

I typically never leave reviews, but the abysmal experience I've had with CBD Bank has compelled me to warn others. If you are considering dealing with them, I strongly advise you to think twice. From start to finish, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating.

CBD Bank seems to have no regard for their customers' needs or concerns. Their level of professionalism is practically nonexistent. It's clear that they do not invest in proper training for their customer service staff, which is incredibly evident in their lack of responsiveness and efficiency. I've had to deal with ongoing issues for over a month now, and they continue to ignore my requests without any sense of urgency or responsibility.

I’ve been trying to cancel my credit card for over a month, but despite numerous calls and requests, they still haven’t processed my cancellation. Each time I call, I’m told it will take "7 working days" for them to get back to me. And yet, they never follow through. One time, I was told they were "busy with meetings" and would call me back later—but no one ever did. I specifically told them not to call, as I wouldn’t be available to take their call, and instead asked them to proceed with the cancellation directly, but they completely ignored my request.

To make matters worse, their customer care numbers are incredibly difficult to reach, and getting any actual support feels like an endless loop of frustration. Every interaction has been more about passing the buck than resolving my issue.

I’ve never encountered a more unprofessional and unreliable bank in my life. If you value your time and money, I highly recommend avoiding CBD Bank altogether. They are incredibly inefficient, unhelpful, and seem to prioritize adding unnecessary fees over providing decent customer service. This is hands down the worst banking experience I’ve ever had, and I want to warn others to avoid the same pitfalls. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of CBD Bank.

Fraudulent Transaction on My Credit Card – No Notification, OTP, or Payment Link

Have you experienced CBD card fraud? I Lost around 10,000 AED .
Fraudulent Transaction without my consent.
No OTP or payment link for verification.
No alerts or notifications before the transaction.
Lack of security jeopardizes customer safety.
Immediate dispute filed with credit card provider but still lost the money.
We need Justice and Cyber Security.

Poor customer handling experience

Poor customer handling experience. Making their customer confuse. Convert my purchase to EPP 0% but when the statement came out they includer 0.99% interest per month. And the call center told me that i chose the wrong options and he cannot do anything about it. Why do they need to put with interest and without interest as an option? to make the customer confuse?

I have never experienced such a ridiculous bank service first calling them is a long procedure they are never available nd whn u chat with them on app they dont know anything and always tell us to call ibuad some google pay msg of 1 aed which i didnt do it i i tried to reach them but very conveniently there is voice msg call 9 to 5 i even tried to call there were long long audio nd thn disconnected after one day 4700 aed fraud transaction was done thn they say u we are not responsible they have pathetic service nd today 15300 aed is on hold as i have not done this transaction nd i m out of town constantly calling thm not reachable finally my call get connected nd they say call after prayers getting connected to a agent is a long procedure it will b great if they get in touch on my whtsapp dxb number but no i have to do all effort again i m no more banking with thm

I have used CBD credit card and…

I have used CBD credit card and experience was really bad. They charged me fine for no reason and said they can reverse it only if I can spend 6k in two months. Which is ridiculous. I will never use their card again and won’t recommend it to anyone from now on.

I have a very bad experience with Commercial bank of Dubai.i had requested to reduce my credit card limit and there was no response from the bank side last 4 days. if we call the customer care they are always saying we send for approval. worst service i ever had l also not recommend to my friends and family as it is not user friendly.

Account closure

How to close cbd online account. I sent an email for account closure in september 2024 and its still not been closed. And i am getting negative balance every month since then. Now replied that they will close my account after 60 days. Will i have to pay these negative bance? And will they charge me for the next two months(60 days)?

I have a very bad experience with…

I have a very bad experience with Commercial bank of Dubai. I was getting Over charged every month even I have paid my all outstanding. I tried to reach the customer care through 600575556 and tried to cancel the CC and I got one call after 8 days.

I am sure I will not use this product moving forward and I will also not recommend to my friends and family as it is not user friendly.
