Been a client for a number of years now and compared to the dentist practices Ive attended over the years( and theres been quite a few) this is by far the best from the receptionists, the dentist and the hygienist ,they are very customer friendly, explain everything in full and give an excellent clinical service, katie the hygienist is without doubt the best hygienist ever, she is keen to give the best care possible.
I had an abscess starting under my tooth finally they saw me after telling me That they had no emergency appointments left for that day and I would have to phone in again the next day to try..by fluke I got in by a cancellation while I was waiting to see the dentist the receptionist was on the phone to a patient who was obviously her friend and told her she had some emergency appointments for the next day which she was not suppose to book till the next morning but because she was her friend she made her one and lowered her voice and said she was not suppose to do it and don’t tell no one I mean I heard this and thought it was absolutely out of order cos I could have needed that appointment the Nx day turns out I did and they kept telling me they couldn’t not see me when I needed to get a stronger painkiller as I was in horrendous pain they did eventually fit me in between appointment but I felt like a nuisance next day my pain was even worse and my face had swollen it was absolutely agony I phoned and the reception just dismissed me saying they could not take me any further and I would have to go to hospital not a care in the world thankfully a lovely lady at dentist advisory clinic helped me she gave me stronger antibiotics and painkillers and could not believe how dentist and receptionist just dismissed me like she was absolutely disgusted I will never go back to this place again and I have spent quite a bit of money there on my teeth in few years that’s all they are in it for so if you get tooth ache don’t go there USELESS
I have been very impressed by the level of expertise shown at this dental service, they take time to explain the procedures in layman's terms.
Everyone I have met at this practice has been professional, courteous and go to great lengths to look after their patients
I paid My yrs fee Sept 2019, used 1 appointment Dec 2019, then stuck in the USA, from Dec 2019, until Oct 2020. I had no idea my practice had been bought out. The new owners said they would honor the 1 vist I had left on the plan, but only now until the end of Feb 2021, I do not want to go at this time, Covid, but 2 appointments over 2 days! it's a £50.00 loss which at the moment is a lot of money, I won't be going and had I known the practice was shaky before I would not have renewed.
Best dentist I have ever been to I would strongly recommend! All the team are so lovely and helpful
The reception’s are very welcoming and friendly and the dentists are amazing
They have given me back my smile
Thank you Tom and jade
*This review isn't in relation to any dental work I have received from CFD (prior to them going bust), This review is in regards to the £20 Cleaning/PPE fee they are charging on top of EACH appointment*
I'm sorry but as much as I am understanding of the welfare and safety of staff (especially with them being so close to your mouth) customers should not be liable for this £20 cost (per appointment) to cover the additional PPE/Cleaning measure necessary because of COVID. I work in a shop and we have had to spend a fortune on PPE and additional cleaning products but we don't charge customers an entry fee, nor have we put the prices of products up! I think it's very poor to pass this charge onto customers who are already paying a premium for private dental care.
They shouldn't be open if they do not think it is safe for staff to resume dental services. I think it is very greedy of the new company who has bought out CFD to pass this charge onto customers as it is THEIR duty to keep their staff safe and they should be the ones paying not the customers who already pay top prices for dental care. A greedy step that hasn't given me a good first impression of the new management and one I think will see the loss of lots of long-standing customers who were always happy with the service received by CFD. The name hasn't been updated on Google (I don't even know what the new name for my dental practice is), there isn't a website for the new company who has taken over my practice, nor is there any signs up in the clinic. If they weren't ready to open they should have got all of this sorted first and then spoken to each customer in writing to tell them about these COVID costs, not just spring it on them when they arrive at the clinic where they don't have much choice.
Some bad decisions being made here, if this continues I will be leaving the clinic and finding a new dentist.
Had to obtain a County Court Judgement to get my £99 back after they closed due to COVID-19 but continued to take direct debit premiums.
Up until recently I had a positive experience of Centre for Dentistry. I paid into an annual plan and had regular check ups by a lovely dentist who had an incredibly calm manner. The branch I was a patient of closed during lockdown. Fair enough. However, once dentists were re-opening, I wanted to book an appointment as I have a toothache. I rang the branch - number not recognised. I went on the website - it no longer exists. I tried the Facebook page - no longer exists. I emailed head office to ask if the branch had closed. They finally replied after my 4th email. They told me the branch has closed down. No explanation given as to why patients were not informed of this. No information about what happens to my annual plan. I have replied twice now asking about this but had no reply. I've had no choice but to cancel my direct debit and start to look for a new dentist. When were they planning on informing me? What if I had a dental emergency? Why could they not send a simple email letting patients know the branch had closed and giving us our options? Very poor customer service, especially considering the amount of money I have paid into the plan.
I received a call the other day to inform me that I would have to pay an additional £30.00 on top of the normal charge for my appointment as the practice now has to do additional cleaning if certain pieces of equipment are used during the appointment.
I run a small business like many thousands of other people, and we have all suffered through this pandemic, what my company and I am sure thousands of other businesses can NOT do is to make our problems our customers problem by passing on all incurred costs.
I for one an disgusted at this and will be looking for a new dentist with immediate effect.
CFD had to cancel an appointment pre-covid back in March. Unfortunately, since then, I have not been able to get through to anyone to receive a refund of my £75 deposit. OK, that's not much, but it's still owed to me! They do not answer their phone, do not respond to emails, and have not responded to a written letter. There is nothing on their website to indicate they've gone bust, and surely they wouldn't have furloughed all their head office team?
Extremely disappointed with the way they ignore customers and keep hold of money that's not theirs!
Excellent service during “lockdown” thank you
I have cancelled my dental plan after my experience on 5 March 2020. My appointment was due at 2 pm. On my arrival for the appointment, the surgery was closed with a note on the door. Neither security or the lady at Sainsbury's desk were aware of the closure. I contacted the number provided on the note. I have not even given an apology on the day when the lady returned my call. All she said was: that they tried to phone me. I haven't receive a call, text message or email regarding cancellation of my appointment. I have checked and there was NO miss calls on my mobile phone. So I don't believe they did.
I felt very disappointed with the lack of information and communication prior to my appointment. I was very pleased in the past with the service and have received reminders text messages and phone calls. Since then I have cancelled my dental plan of £99 and the £ 40 deposit for the treatment booked for that day via email on 26/3/20. I have received an apology on the 26 March and an agreement to refund my £ 139. But I can't get through to anybody on the phone and nobody answer my emails. So don't use this company !
God forbid your circumstances should change in the midst of one of their pre-pay plans! Wow. Will never use again. Not that I could anyway, due to no longer being nearby any branches of theirs. Watch out for that in the small print.
Found the staff very friendly but second rate dentistry treatment, had a front tooth crown when my original one broke and needed it fixed fast, what i ended up with is a thick and bulky dry none matching tooth and they was trying to convince me it was a good match as my teeth are not perfectly white anyway and it has it's own little shelf at the back which i mentioned to dentist 4 times and nothing was done about it ,so agreed that i was happy after feeling a little pressured just so i could get out of there ,it seems to me they use the cheapest of materials but charge the highest prices, £560 for something i am going to have redone at an nhs dentist

I am probably the worst patient in the world, but clifford and karen were absolutely amazing. Clifford explained everything he was doing and was really calm and patient with me. Karen comforted me all the way through. Even got a courtesy phone call 2 hours later to see if I was ok. The best dental practice I have ever been to and it's the only one I will use from now on. Thankyou so much
My first visit today. All the staff I met where wonderful. As a nervous patient it was very hard for me to even sit in the chair...but hey I'm going back tomorrow for more treatment!
Fantastic service, made my son feel totally at ease and he walked away pain free , excellent, would thoroughly recommend!

As a nervous patient, I do not have the best track record of feeling comfortable at the Dentists. However, all the staff made me felt so comfortable and took the time to look after me. I even received a call the next day to see how I was doing after having quite a bit of work done in my emergency appointment. I cannot recommend them enough, brilliant service and lovely staff. Thank you!
