Terrible return policy and customer service

The return policy (30 days) is based on order date and in my case, my shoes arrived 24 days after order date. By the time I was able to figure out how to request a return and customer service returned my email, time elapsed for me to make the return. I bought two pairs of shoes and really liked one pair and the other didn’t fit. Based on the interaction with the company, I would not order from it again.

The return process is very clearly stated in our return policy and our customer service replied your email in 24 hours. It certainly does not take 6 days to figure out. There were plenty of time for you to log into your account and submit a return request before the return time is invalid.

what is your address to return an item. I have called the number on the website ~10 times; no answer. I have emailed. received one replay to tell me to follow an link that had no address; I emailed total of ~8 times. used message link at well. Very bad customer service. Do not use . Return Policy Not Honored & Zero Contact with Customer = Fraud

The language on the CHIKO Shoes website explicitly states that no returns of “more than 3 pairs” would be accepted. However, my order stops precisely at the number 3 and is “no more than 3 pairs” therefore it IS the maximum allowable number for returns based on the grammar and wording that the Chiko website has chosen to use.

If the CHIKO website had stated that returns would not be accepted for “3 or more items” I would be not writing to them requesting a return activation. Based on the language used on the website , the number 3 refers to the total number of “pairs or items” that can be included in the return (in other words, the parenthetical clarification on the CHIKO website is meant to confirm that only 3 items or only 3 pairs or only a total of 3 items or pairs are allowed to be returned at any given time, but more than 3 items or pairs may not be returned and are considered a bulk order, which my order is NOT).

Since my order contains a total number of 3 pairs and NO MORE THAN 3 pairs or items, it most certainly qualifies for a return or exchange.

CHIKO Shoes not only denies me the right to return the items in me order - based on the wording they themselves have chosen to use on their website - but they are not responding to any messages, calls, chats, etc. THERE IS ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE - IT'S LIKE WRITING INTO THE VOID. No one from their team has come forward to resolve the issue. It makes my blood boil to be taken advantage of in this way: CHIKO SHOES IS ENGAGING IN FRAUD IN BROAD DAYLIGHT and customers have no protections in place. DO NOT BUY CHIKO SHOES.

If CHIKO is doing business in the English language, they should express their policies clearly in the English language - the Return Policy language on the website contains a deliberate intent to confuse the customer: it would have been much easier to state that that "maximum allowable number of pairs or items is 2" or returns should not exceed 2 pairs per order. Stating the number 3 and saying "no more than 3 pairs" are eligible for return does not CLEARLY communicate that the allowable number is actually 2. Furthermore, the company's lack of communication with the customer and/or any attempt to offer a compromise solution (e.g. exchange option) is a testament to CHIKO's purposeful attempt to defraud customers.

I have been a customer in good standing online and offline my entire life but I have never encountered such a poorly-managed company.

I have tried so many different ways to…

I have tried so many different ways to get your company to send me an email regarding instructions on returning shoes. My order, 390036 has been approved but no further emails have been sent on the instructions. I have checked my spam and junk constantly. You do not respond to your emails and this is the only way you give a genetic answer but do not address the problem. I am considering taking this further and reporting your wrongful practice to United States Business Bureaue.

I been waiting for the return…

I been waiting for the return department to send me instructions on returning my shoes order 390036. After the approval, I was supposed to receive instructions. I been trying to send them messages through my Chiko account, emails, calls and still didn’t receive anything. Perhaps that is their way of making it difficult to return their merchandise so that people give up. I have checked my spam folder as well. This is my last attempt before I take this further.

Bad shoes from China

The shoes smell very strict, are too small due to completely incorrect sizes and come from China!!! I never received a reply to my return or got my money back. Fingers off!!!!

Absolute Lie! To be avoided at any cost!!!

Absolute Lie!! their shoes are made out of smelly fake leather in China!! nothing to do with US nor italy!! the sizes are wrong and the delivery took 6 weeks and delivered 1 pair out of 2 in a random box and no brand name on anything except done reference in chinese!!!

The upper materials vary on each design. Most of our shoes are made of genuine leather. Some designs are made with fabric, suede, pony hair or synthetic materials etc. Material details are specified in the product description of each product under the tab of "additional information". Shoppers can also pick and choose with material filter tool at our online store.

2. About Country Of Origin:

We are multinational company with production facilities and warehouses in China and logistic centers in multiple countries. We never advertised our products has anything to do with production in Italy, which is not indicated anywhere on our products either.

3. About Shoe Size:

As mentioned on our website, our shoes are true to our size chart. As size chart varies from brand to brand, if you are the first time shopper at our online store, before place an order, we strongly suggest you to measure your foot length and compare it to our size chart in order to locate your shoe size accurately.

4. About Delivery Leading Time:

Since you didn't mention your order number in your review and we can not find any order under your name, we can not tell the exact leading time in your case. Generally, as mentioned on our website, the item in stock is shipped in 7 to 10 BUSINESS days. Restocked, large sizes (size 9 and above), made-to-order or pre-order items are shipped in about 2 business weeks.

5. About Partial Delivery:

If there are multiple pairs for one order, it may be shipped in batches. Tracking number for each batch is provided. The order will be marked as "shipped" when all batch shipments are on the way.

6. About Logo:

CHIKO logo is printed on the shoe box. The refererence number on the shoes are model numbers for production usage only.

Refund

Since this seems to be the only way I get any sort of response from your company:
I placed a return for order 378898 on March 2nd (the same day they came battered to me) and it was approved immediately. I shipped the order back to your facility, it arrived at your location on the 7th (physically picked up by an individual from your office/end). I still have not received any reimbursement for my return as of the 17th. I have reached out multiple times and your company has not addressed this. By when should I get my money back? This is extremely unprofessional.

As mentioned in our return instruction email, please allow a minimum of fourteen (14) days for us to receive and process your return. You can expect a refund within twenty (20) business days of when we receive your return and your return is qualified for refund. The refund will be credit back to your original method of payment. If you paid with credit card, it may take up to 10 business days for the refund to show in your bank statement. If you paid with Paypal, please log into your Paypal account for details.

Please make sure you have uploaded your return package tracking number and your order number via the link in the return instruction email. It will speed up your return process dramatically.

Avoid at all cost! Customer service is atrocious and slow.

Thank you Chiko for your response to my review. It seems that your information stating that all orders will be process on the 10 February and will take between 7 to 10 days to arrive isn't very accurate. It took 14 days for your Seller to even send the item out and another 4 days for it to arrive, so a total of 18 days!
As for measuring my size, I did that and matched it to your chart but still the item was 2 sizes too small!

The flights to UK was limited due to Covid-19 pandemic. Supply chain has been a global issue across many industries. Many packages are queued up at the airport for available flights, especially the peak shipping season right after national holiday break.

We have shipped your package with express delivery service by TNT. It took only 3 days from shipment to arrival. All these are done at our costs.

It's not our intention to delay your shipment and we have tried our best to speed up the process as soon as we can. Your understanding would be highly appreciated!

Don’t order more than 1 pair at a time! Received only 3 pairs of shoes out of…

Received only 3 pairs of shoes out of the 4 that I ordered. Don’t order in bulk!!!!! Order 1 at a time. Orders in “bulk” are not eligible for returns!!!! I lost $300 and there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Note sizes run small 8.5= 8 etc.

Horrible company.
