I would caution anyone considering…
I would caution anyone considering using Close Brothers savings if my recent interactions are anything to go by. A couple of weeks ago I received an email advising that as my account had not been accessed for fifteen months it would be closed in May. As I have a large sum in a fixed rate product plus a joint account that was only closed a couple of months ago, I called up and was advised the email was a mistake and sure enough I received another email confirming that. Today (email number 3) I get another email saying that email number 2 was wrong and email number 1 was correct.
How can anyone have faith in such an inept financial company.
The advisor I spoke to just now confirmed my account is open and when I asked for it to be closed due to this ongoing mess, my request was declined. Let's see what happens next as I asked for my comments to become a formal complaint.

Close Brothers have still not responded to a secure message after 3 working days of waiting. I needed an urgent response and have been unable to reach them by telephone. I have been saving with them for some years and am disappointed in their response times.

Excellent Products and Human Relations
As an older customer I appreciate their patient and easy client service to overcome the glitches and gremlins of software. Moreover they are competitive with the newer emergent banks.

OK but a little clunky
OK, but they are not part of Open Banking so they request PDF of recent Statement which is clunky as they will not accept a compressed file etc..

Outstanding service, easy to contact customer services, communication is brilliant and the rates are always favourable. We have been using them for a number of years now and just reinvested with them again. Definitely recommend this company.

Uncomplicated, informative and clear options.
Close Brothers are competitive. Their communication is excellent every thing is explained clearly. When my ISA matured I was given advanced warning and had a good choice of options with clear information and instructions what to do next. Re-investing my ISA with Close Brothers was a straightforward experience and the best option for me.
