Extremely unreliable service. This week, Country Clean failed to collect our compost bin. Last week, it was our recycling, and there have been several other missed collections over recent months. This is probably the fifth time it has happened this year.

Customer service makes the situation even worse. Emails now go unanswered, and when you call, the conversation immediately turns to money and payment, despite no bills having been sent, with the latest thread only showing a receipt along with my latest email request.

I strongly do not recommend Country Clean and if options are limited you would nearly be better off bringing your rubbish to the recycling yourself.

There customer service had a lot to be desired as for a call back a joke 4 times i had to ring them no give all take

The Customer Service is the worse I have honestly ever dealt with. I had been with them for 6 years. We always put our bins out on our side street & they were collected. For the past 2 months the glass bins just sat there. I called and was told “ we told you to place them on Street”. Em, no they didn’t and none of our neighbours knew about this either. This isn’t this first issue we’ve had. So, I cancelled my contract. Was told by a text message yesterday to place my empty bins out to be collected today, they are still sitting there. I called, I was told the truck broke down! No text to tell me that & was told to bring them back in until I get another text. They still haven’t collected the glass bin I paid this month for, but was told my glass bin contract is cancelled! I’d give them minus zero if I could. Drivers & collector’s are lovely, but the office staff haven’t a Scubby Doo!

Been well looked after by Sean O’Connor, with reliable weekly collections. I’ve had no problems with them since signing up a year ago. Sean has provided great customer service and speedy replies to any queries.

Cant give them a 0 so hence the 1. I have been with them for 9 years...most of it has been fine but our bins werent collected twice within 2 months. I called after the 2nd time on a friday (bin collection is thursday for us)and was told that the bin weighed over 88kg and they had lifted it but nothing came out. This is complete bullsh**t! The bins had not even moved an inch from where my husband had put them out, they were half full and the material inside them was not stuck. They told me someone would be out in the next few days to collect them.
I didnt get a text til the wednesday night...so we put the 3 bins out (the brown and green that hadn't been collected and the blue which was due to be collected) , the blue was collected but not the others.
I called them and spoke to a lovely woman but she wasnt any help because she said she had gotten a video from the truck showing there were no bins left out at 12.48pm!
This was an absolute lie because the bins had been out all morning and in the video or pic my car was absent from it (which it was there all day). They also couldnt see my neighbours bin in the pic and she had put it out before she left for work.
They are no help whatsoever but also FULL OF LIES!!
do not go with this company!! I wish i didnt have to move from them as wiser dont do glass collection where i am but i cannot pay a company who completly lie and are putting blame on us. Im shocked that this is what they think of as customer service.

Watch out in case you are looking for any dispute resolution and or refund. Waiting over 6 months for refund of duplicate payment

2 of my last 3 glass bin collections have not been collected, bill is up to date, I got a message last night to put out my glass bin out but it wasn't collected again today.

I have been with country clean for over 10 years but the last 1-2 years I have been having issues with bins not being collected even tough bill is paid, I will be moving soon and will NOT be getting them again.

I would advise you to stay away as the Lies their customer service staff told me were absolutely unreal.

They’re ripping people off I had my bins paid in advance up to the end of march 2026 they hadn’t taken my bins the whole month of December and January I was left with overflowing bins. The girl on the phone was very intimidating and practically wanted more money from me even though I sent emails of transactions that I had paid up to march , I had to pay again another instalment of 34 euros for them to come and take away my bins and I terminated the contract PLEASE AVOID this company at all costs they’re cowboys and should be investigated.

We have had continual issues with Country Clean leaving lots of rubbish in our estate and had to contact the company on several occasions. Today I contacted the company to raise that my recycling bin wasn't emptied - it was still half full. The first customer service rep was very new and unsure of how to manage my issue. I emailed a complaint and was called back by a member of the team who decided to use a very aggressive tone, telling me that my bin was lifted - and rubbish must have been stuck - which it wasn't it was loose. She went on to say that the average recycling bin should be 11kgs. She advised that I would receive a bag in the post and to put my rubbish in that until two weeks time when they are doing a collection again. Incredibly rude on the phone, completely defensive and dismissive. I would be very slow to recommend this company if you're new to the service, I had Wiser Bins for 15 years and never an issue. Disgraceful customer service, anyone can have a mistake- just own up to that and apologize on behalf of the customer, the last thing you should do is make it worse and be so rude.

Today we were expecting our recycling and rubbish bin to be collected after a month and a half of payments going through and still the bins have not been collected.

I rang the customer service team frustrated that my bins have been overflowing with rubbish for the past month, while the bins were indeed paid. There is current rubbish been left in bags out in the back kitchen to stop mice from getting at them. The rude member of staff advised me that my bins would not be collected for a further 2 weeks, which is absolutely appalling. It is not the first time I’ve had issues with this company and if you value a clean house, id advise anyone to stay well clear of this company.

Most horrible customer service and management team i ever saw in an Irish company. They shouldn't be on the market, try to avoid opening a contract with them. They failed collecting my bins for 2 months because they said "its dangerous to enter my public street" when wiser surprisingly is coming. Expecting me to drag the bins on top of the road that is far away and leave them on the side of a national street
When emailing and phoning I could only deal with people that shouldn't be paid to work in customer service but my money are being take out from my account monthly. So please everyone stay away from this company and complain to cork city about them

If you have any alternative waste service available to you, avoid Country Clean. In my experience, they have been consistently unreliable, uncommunicative, and dismissive of their customers.
Collections are frequently missed with no transparency and no meaningful explanation. What’s even more frustrating is that they often send automated texts telling you to put your bins out after a non‑collection—only to still not show up afterwards. It feels like a box‑ticking exercise rather than an actual attempt to fix the problem.
If you live on a main road, you might never notice these issues. But for anyone on a side road, hill, cul‑de‑sac, or narrower street, the service becomes a game of excuses. In my experience, they regularly blame “slippery roads,” “access issues,” or vaguely “blocked routes,” even on days when conditions are perfectly fine. It increasingly seems like the drivers simply skip more difficult routes or run late and just pass by.
It’s incredibly disappointing to pay for a service that feels this inconsistent and unaccountable. After multiple missed collections, contradictory messages, and zero ownership from the company, I can honestly say that this has been one of the poorest service experiences I’ve had.
If you can choose another provider, do yourself a favour and do so. My experience with Country Clean has been frustrating from start to finish.

Terrible service. I can see a neighbour of mine paying 100 euro less per year with exactly same 4 bins and size of bins, same collection days, and sent the invoices to the company as evidence, and they refused to explain why or allow my price to match my neighbour. Awful customer service - after 6 weeks of waiting for an email reply, they just copied and pasted their last email from 6 weeks ago, really rude. Definitely go with another bin company.

Awful company. They are agressive in chasing payments but if you've an issue they are awful. I paid my bill in advance of drivers coming but they said it needed to be day before, and now they are telling me 2 wks before collection. Not one bit nice. Go with anyone else other than them!!!

Absolute worst company to deal with. Taking 2 weeks to answer an email or the phone they make the fact that they can not answer a call the customers problem and want you to pay for their absolute lack of customer service.

Eventhoug I paid my bill online and I got the receipt, it wasn't my shown in my account and they kept sending requests for payment.

Only giving one star because I can’t give 0 - the worst bin company I’ve ever come across- customer service was beyond rude and useless in terms of actually providing information or helping - lied to about dates that the bins would be collected , couldn’t recommend country clean less

They dont answer phones OR reply to emails.
