The $Charge$ you right after you sign up with them using your email, followed by a really long email saying nothing but at the very bottom: "You are subscribed to our membership with 7 days free trial... " I could have lost so much $ if I didn't go verify their business and reviews online.

Was curious before and I wanted to check it out, totally regret the decision. The 7 day trial is not helpful at all as I tried contacting on my last day but it takes ages for someone to actually answer. Then I was too late.

I have been wondering where my money was going for the past couple of months. I checked my statements and I saw that you guys are charging me 40 dollars every month? For what? Staff parties? Outrageous for a site that checks credit. I am working 6 days a week and the only time I had a phone call was yesterday. I had to wait 2 whole hours till I got tired and made a virtual email just to contact whoever is available. So far you guys owe me more than 120 dollars..

This site deserves a lawsuit. I hope no one else falls for this joke.

I just encountered this website and noticed many people talking about how they have been charged a monthly fee without any notice. I thought it was not the case for me but I just checked my bank statements and same thing! I have been charged $35/month for the past few months (totaled up to $210) without even knowing! Normally companies would always provide an email receipt of a subscription, but I never received any of that during the months this company charged me. Their company ID under POS system is also protected (IDPROTECT.CO). I found out that calling to cancel is an illegal practice in all 50 states, which has been enforced by the FTC since 2018. I think it is also illegal to be only providing all the monthly fee information at the bottom of an email, as that is not considered to be fully transparent and openly informing the consumers that they will be charged with this fee and how the cancellation process works. Although I am in Canada, this company was originally from Santa Monica, California, as their Terms and Conditions state to send them a mail to the Santa Monica location to continue with the cancelling process should phone option not be preferred. I will try to give them a call tomorrow morning and hopefully have my membership cancelled, my card profile removed, my account possibly deleted, and most importantly, a full refund from January until June (~$210).

This company tells you they charge you 1$ to check your credit. (In very fine print) meanwhile they charged me 10$ the first time. I was unable to cancel before the 30$ monthly subscription fee was deducted from my account. I will try to contact them again on Monday and see what they’re going to do. If they don’t reply I’ll be filing a dispute with my bank. Thankfully with all these complaints there’s enough grounds for a class action and my best friend happens to be a corporate lawyer so this could be a very fun time for all of us! Looking forward to hearing from this scam of a company.

I have tried since Feb to cancel my account. They either can't find my account or say that it has been canceled. I want my $174 back that I have been charged since then. $34.95 each month.

It is infuriating! Very hard to cancel any subscriptions. The website hasn’t worked on my end yet, so didnt even see what the $1 trial was supposed to show, just errors!

No way to cancel online. Anytime I call, just silence. I’ve sent emails. Left messages. Wasn’t rude in any to be ignored! Starting in April $34.95 has been coming out of my KOHO account. Even have them looking into ways to try to stop payments.

Please, I ask again, cancel my subscription & refund the $105.85 (so far, in just those months!) you have taken from me.

I tried this website on a free trial only to have them charge my credit card. After 3 phone calls of them just hanging up I finally got through to someone only for them to say they were not going to refund my credit card. Only after threatening to call my bank and report them to the better business bureau did they agree to refund. While their services seem good I will never use them for their scammy practice of charging for their “free” trial

Quite a brutal service they run, I don’t ever remember agreeing to sign up for a monthly 40 dollar service. Needed to call to cancel, ridiculous. Would not recommend.

I can verify that this company does operate very much like a scam. They do have a real service but how they operate is very much intended to screw you over. They do not specify during the time of purchase that it will cost you $30USD for their service. This is all detailed in a small paragraph at the bottom of the account creation email. On top of this, they make you call to cancel you account. Not because they don't have the capabilities - but to make it harder to cancel. Dealing with their customer service is infuriating. I called 3 times to talk to a manager about a full refund and was told each time that they would get back to me within 24-48 hours but received no response. I would never recommend this service. Please look for another provider - anyone should be better. My hope by posting this is to save you some money and prevent their operations from benefiting any further until they operate in a more ethical manner.

When talking to their service representative - they said that the partial refund that they would offer me of 50% has now expired and they can only offer me a 25% discount. Despite my account being cancelled half way through the billing cycle AND me waiting on their supervisors to get back to me. Another example of trying to gouge more money out of their customers.

It was an extensive process but I did receive a full refund from them. I will maintain the 1-star because of everything that I went through, but I appreciate that they, after tons of appeals, did in fact give me my money back.

6/19/2023 12:48PM EST - 12:50PM EST, after threatening the dead silence pickup woman that i will not stop calling untill she answers me, my next call was routed to a nice indian lady who informed me they are remote workers and do not have any supervisors around to put us through to and she would inform some one of the issues i had with the first customer support service agent then offered me a 30% refund, i said no i want a total refund, she then offered 50% refund, I just said yeah sure whatever do a 50% refund so we will see if that's there way of stopping my phone calls or if its valid but i still believe a total refund was possible ! I didn't use the service even once , never even logged into the account 1 time!

SIGNING UP FOR THIS WILL COST YOU A LOT OF MONEY!!!! I would like to give this company negative 1 million stars. I signed on for an advertised free trial. This so called free trial cost me $1 US. I signed in a few times initially to find a realistic credit score and a list of credit cards and other payments that were relevant to me. Most all other pages on this site were blank. At the time I thought that it was my internet connection. After reviewing my credit card statemnet I found that they were charging me $34.95 Canadian per month. There is no way that I would have signed up if this information was readily available. The website says the ONLY way to cancel is by phone. I have tried to contact them via phone, during their listed hours (10am-6pm, 8am-4pm my time, Monday-Friday) more than a dozen times. It rings and rings with no answer, does not ring, rings and connects to a suspicious voice simulated messaging system, or, if your lucky, it connects to someone briefly and somehow the call gets disconnected. This has been going on for 3 full months, NO EXAGGERATION!! I work during these hours as a nurse at a very busy hospital so it is quite difficult to call during these hours. I have also tried contacting them via email with no response. I have initiated a dispute with my credit card company, I have reported this fraudulent company to CRA scams and fraud department and to antifraudcentre in Canada, and am in the process of sending letters to the 3 listed addresses on their website to demand a refund for the $1 and the 3 months of $34.95 that I did not agree to. Luckily, my sister is a Lawyer and has agreed to help me with action towards this company. Chances are that I will not receive a response to my letter which will only serve as further proof that this is a scam. DO NOT EVEN ENTERTAIN SIGNING UP FOR THIS SCAM!!! No matter what is offered, it will not be worth it!!! Although it is not a substantial sum for which I have been taken, I have the means to pursue retribution. I have tried to include an email for which I can be reached so that others can contact me to join this action, however this review forum does not allow emails or phone numbers.

They been trying to charge me for months now, I never subscribed to their website. Never heard of them. Changed my credit card but they still trying to charge me for something. And for a while I'm trying to call them, they answer the calls but they do not talk. If could put ZERO star I would. You thief

I would give zero if possibly. We opened an account with them and requested it be canceled. On their end they show it cancelled yet they have billed us monthly for half a year. They refuse to correct the issue saying they can’t find the account and it’s now my problem. I have to change my bank account in order to stop them from taking the money they’re not entitled to. Stay away from these crooks they will rob you and flip you off.

Update, they want me to call the same toll free number that has been unable to help for six months. I have left my number for a supervisor to call me back in 24-48 hours. It’s been over a month and they haven’t called. I will not be calling back the useless customer service.

Still not acceptable. Creditverify has been charging me monthly for a service I used one time. When I reviewed previously, they reached out and said they provided me a refund. What they refunded was the current month they charged me for which was the very least they could considering they have been charging me almost a year, never provided any receipts or email confirmations that would have alerted me they were charging me. Not ethical in any way.

My experience with credit verify was good because even though the Service was not for me because of some technical issues the rep I talked to to cancel my account was very nice and did not try to push me with retention offers too hard which was nice

They are deceptive. Claiming to offer free trial and charging $1. Making cancelation almost impossible by not allowing it to be doable online. Cancelation has to be done by phone and is only available from 10am to 6pm EST when people should be at their own work. CREDITVERIFY, DO NOT CHARGE MY CARD $34.95. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR SERVICES. $1 WAS CHARGED ON THE 8TH OF MAY. DO NOT CHARGE ME FOR ANY SUBSCRIPTION. I AM NOT INTERESTED!!!!
