I got a job offer from linkedin everything about the way the company requested me to do a credit check RIGHT AWAY! it DIDN"T made sense. Without an interview and a high salary. Why would a company ask for a credit check? I did a bit of homework, and found out this creditverify.ca is a SCAM!

This is a very fraudulent company and they partner with loan companies to defraud people.
I was applying for a loan and there was an offer to signup with CreditVerify, i declined the offer, yet they charged me $1 and $34.95. i called them at 18777515899, they cancelled the subscription and were offering a 50% refund but i demanded for a full refund because i didn't signup with them in the first place. they refused and said it is 50% refund, so i called my bank and disputed the transaction and got my full refund.
THEY ARE SCAMMERS, AVOID THEM!

Scam with hidden subscription charges
I registered to get a one-time report for $1 as advertised. Have been charged roughly 40 CAD since then every month, and only accidentally noticed that today.
The website didn't make it clear that I'm subscribing to a paid service - instead it highlights that they only need your credit card to verify your identity... I would call this a scam and I imagine most of the payees are paying not by choice, but by accident - just like me.
I demand a refund of the total charges made over 3 months. This is just unacceptable business. Will report to my bank.
There's no way to cancel subscription online - you need to call their number and it's hard to get through. Besides the number is not toll free from outside US so there's no way to cancel for free if I'm abroad. This is just not right.

I just signed up for the $1 credit check and now I’ve been charged twice for $17.48 and they just tried again for $36 today.
I’ve emailed them with NO ANSWER. Gone to their website and called the 866 number and it’s not in service.
Cancel my account and give my money back!! Awful company, I am contacting my credit card company to block this merchant and will be definitely telling everyone I can abojt this

Scam plain and simple
Scam plain and simple. Somehow started charging my credit card even though I am 100% I did not agree to pay them anything. Found dozens of reviews from others having a similar fraudulent experience. Called their customer service to cancel and refund and they would not give a full refund. They called me back after I told them I was calling my credit card company to report them and agreed to refund a $35 charge but not the $1 charge. Very infuriating.

I still have no idea how they got into my savings account thru my husband's debit card. Yet they had an account under my name and email address. They are legitimately a scam. Their website covers faqs regarding all the things that scammers do in order to cover their ass.

Repeadly charged me. The lady on the phone was rude and spreading misinformation. Told me they were open 24/7 but when I called and online shows they clearly are not. Repeadly charged my card then offered ad 25% refund. After questioning her Repeadly she went up to 50% but I will be disputing the charges.

Called in and wouldn't let me cancel. They then charged me for a subscription I never wanted. Going to have a reversal done with my financial institution if they don't refund me in the next day.

This is an absolute scam, all of the other reviews are 100% true.
They will sign you up for a monthly subscription without your consent. You are then forced to call in order to cancel and cannot cancel online.
Beware of this hack of a company and stay away whatever you do.

This company promotes scam business…
This company promotes scam business ethics. They will get your to "verify" using your CC number and make a small charge of 1 dollar that is not advertised on the front. I guess this is to try pass the banks for a following charge you don't know is coming. There is a cancel membership button that is ineffective, it makes you contact them by phone. The phone number then doesn't work off numerous phone lines. Then when you get through they hang up. They say cancel this way or by mail, two ways that happen to lose paper trail communication of any evidence. This isn't legal in 2023 for this reason. I have created a written paper trail (legal) by emailing you directly to cancel. Please confirm by receipt that you are doing this immediately.

This is a scam. I was sent an email for a job I applied to and was sent to this site to do a 'credit check' on February 2 and was told I would be charged only $1. I completed this and reached out to the company for the 'job' and heard nothing else back. Next thing I get a notification from my credit card this morning that I am being charged $34.95 which I didn't agree to. I indicated that I didn't authorize the charge and reported it as fraud with the credit card company immediately. My credit card was cancelled. I sent an email to creditverify that this is based on a scam and asked for my account to be cancelled and I want a refund. I tried to call the toll free number and of course no one is available. So this is a new scam that it out there. I also reported the initial email I received that this is being done using a supposed job offer. This should be shut down immediately.
