This company is a total sham. I'm careful with what I click and read things... did the one dollar thing and it proceeded to charge me 2x at 34.95 and 2x and 9.95 and I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR!

called to cancel all things and they charged me again!

I'll be reporting all charges as fraud, as they refused to refund me. Don't click on their website, as apparently just being on it is enough to charge you 😡

UPDATE: Credit verify responded to this, however I have already called Customer Service TWICE. They refused to refund, so I am going through my credit card company now.

My request was taken care of within 2 minutes. She was very polite and helpful.

UPDATE: No way to easily cancel memebership after signing up, but at least they were quick to respond in my case. Will update review after a week if I don't get charged.

How is it even legal to have reoccuring charges that can't be cancelled online, with no mention of it anywhere until you try to cancel???

This is a scam, i registered for the $1 Credit review I canc lled on the website tell me why i just got a charge of 34.95 and i look closely i had been charged that amount both this month and last month and a fee of 9.95 from credit protect twice. This is unbelievable. Beware. I want a full refund of both payments of 34.95 and both payments of 9.95 as well. How can you scam people like this. My full refund should total =$89.8.

I was happy when the customer care assistant understood me when I explained I didn’t need the service any longer. Some assistants push too hard to make you stay against your will.

Was charged the $1, no problem. Then I decided to cancel 2min after seeing what it was all about. I used the CONTACT US form and waited. Then I see they charged me the $34.95 a week later, meaning they didn't cancel it. I go to the FAQ's and see that you can only call or write a letter to cancel. This was NOT stipulated in the signup email. It's very dishonest practice! And the fact that no one replied to my online submission, telling me to call, tells me they purposely didn't reply so that enough time went by in order to bill me.

The customer service rep on the phone was not willing to issue me a refund and could not tell me who my online request form went to.

Beware customers, read all the FAQs about cancellation before buying any products. Too bad they won't refund me like they apparently did so many others. They deserve 0 stars.

You were billing my credit card under ID PROTECT whereas your company name comes up in email as Creditverify. I would have canceled months ago if I could have found who was billing my credit card.

I even had my credit card looking into who you were because I couldn't find any emails or Google search that showed ID PROTECT.

This company is a SCAM!!! They will change you from the free membership to the monthly one. and you can not cancel your membership and charge you every month. I have tried to call the number provided and can't even get through to them as it does not even ring. Absolutely terrible experience!!!!!

The representative that I dealt with was very professional and understanding and made sure that I was clear about my options and gave me an excellent explanation of what needed to happen in order for my request to be fulfilled

customer service rep is courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive listener. he validates my concern, did not talk down on me. instead he coveys understanding and empathy. marvin is very delightful to converse with because he shows and lends humanity.

Responded to my review said they issued a refund to check my email in the next 24-48 hours . Absolutely nothing . They called and left a voicemail saying the same thing l. Then I received another voicemail from them about another lady trying to get nearly 400 back for some other service. They can’t even keep their scams straight with the people they are scamming I have both voicemails and will be submitting them both to my bank on their investigation into it. There should be an option to leave 0 stars

Signed up for the "free" service and the $1 credit report I am now being charged $34.95 and $9.95 monthly. If you call the number on the site to cancel (1 866 899 3175) you receive a message that it is not in service. The only way to cancel is apparently sending them a letter, this company is a scam and likely a front to collect sensitive data.

UPDATE
If you call from the number registered to your account it will say the number is out of service, borrow a friend's phone or generate a number and magically you will get through.

I would give this company 0 stars if it were an option.
I did not authorize this subscription purchase.
I called to have my payments of $29.95 (CAN) refunded - they have charged me every month since December 2021!!!
I called customer service and the poor girl (I imagine she's getting these calls all the time) offered to cancel my subscription. When I requested the refund she said they cannot do refunds (strange because Credit Verify's replies to other complaints on this site mention REFUNDS). I asked that she escalate the call to a manager, she refused and upon further disputing on my end, she didn't hang up, just disappeared. Dead line, no response.
I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

$29.95 multiplied by 12 charges totals $359.40 (CAN). I want this money back.

CREDIT VERIFY is a bunch of scammers.

I called back, again and again. Finally, I got through, went over the same issues with the CSR, and demanded to speak to a manager/supervisor, I was told they would have one call me.
To my surprise, a supervisor did return my call.
They offered to refund me one month - I told them that was unacceptable. They offered to refund me half of the total - I told them that was unacceptable and added that I would not accept anything less than all charges in full or I would pursue legal action. I was put on hold and when the supervisor returned they told me that I would be refunded in full in 7-10 business days (if I agreed not to pursue legal action upon my repayment - I accepted.

I stand by my original review, I only wanted to update this for anyone else who has found themselves in the same situation.

I have received 4 out of 12 refunds. I was promised all 12 - no explanation or reply from the company.
Legal action will commence if I do not receive the remaining 8 payments ASAP.

A supervisor was supposed to call me back to discuss the outstanding 8 refunds. No call back was received. I am calling customer service again today.
This company does not keep its promises and makes it very difficult to get your money back. I imagine that this is how they make their money, they count on people to give up.

I received a 'call back', too bad it was set up to go STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL.
I am going to move straight to legal action if this is not resolved today.

I contacted customer service to cancel and be refunded a pending charge for the subscription. They said they will cancel my subscription, but they will not refund my money.
