Steer clear of Croxdale MG
I took my MG to Croxdale when I received a manufacture's recall as it was the nearest dealer . I was told the job should take around an hour, but I gave them the go-ahead to replace a dodgy tyre as an extra, which they had spotted. However when I was told the car was almost ready I was left waiting for approx. an hour and a half, during which time I was given the keys to the wrong car, and then told that there had been a mix up and they hadn't been able to find my car to return it to me??!!. I returned home, parked up but when I went to start the car to go to work it wouldn't start , my car which had never given me a problem until Croxdale got their hands on it. When I rang them to ask them to rectify the problem they weren't interested. I ended up paying £95 to people I could trust to have the battery charged and the car tested for any faults that would drain the battery, and there were none. The car has been fine since. I suspect Croxdale took 3 hrs. longer than they should have to do the work because they caused the problem and had to cover up their blunder. I have emailed both Croxdale and MG Motors to complain, as yet no response. I would advise all to steer clear of Croxdale MG.
Go elsewhere for repairs

I went up the road and got front pads replaced and rear spring coil for £350. They manufacture jobs that otherwise need not doing and charge you twice as much . Steer clear!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Purchased a brand new MG 4 X Power in Oct 24 and have had nothing but problems. Issues reported on day 2 of ownership and still to this day not resolved.
Car has been into the dealership multiple times who suggest they cannot find any issues. Terrible vibration in the car, bluetooth does not work and the car has come to an emergency stop on its own accord from 40mph.
Several lies and false promises along the way, scary to see an organisation can operate like this.
Have been forced to use the Financial Ombudsman Service who are looking into this on my behalf.
Independent reports agree that the car is faulty, however the dealer suggest they cannot detect anything.
Horrific aftercare and it appears I am not the only one who has encountered this. In the 20+ cars I have owned, never in my experience have I dealt with an outfit like MG Croxdale.
Customer service terrible
Customer service terrible, they try and charge you just to look at a brand new cars that will not start somehow making out its your fault ,use to buy all our cars there as its local had 8 car in total .
All 8 have had problems but we should of abandoned this garage ages ago as all had major problems this time bought elsewhere and won't be using croxdale again please look elsewhere as this company have no loyalty to its customers
too busy to do the simple things for customers..
due to previous garage no longer servicing alfa romeo croxdale took over my motability car,ongoing issue with 12v battery so booked in for diagnostic plus mot was nearly due.no real answer to battery problem when i picked car up,but told several recall items needed sorting so booked in again five week wait.took car back in and three days in workshop and i mentioned tpms came on as driving in,on picking car up noticed messages on dash that i missed reading but tpms light still on also.when i got home i scrolled through fault messages it was something about hybrid system and when i had a spare moment rang up garage but all workshop too busy and managers were in a meeting and would be going home after meeting.i was told to bring car in monday but all this did was book the car in again a task i could have done on the phone if receptionist was more clear.croxdale too busy to pump up a tyre or wash cars after servicing so im glad im getting a differant car and dealer next month.
Worst car buying experience of my life
Worst car buying experience of my life. Citroen croxdale. Purchased an electric car with an expectation it would reach somewhat near the mileage set out by the manufacturer. Car doesn’t even do half the mileage expected and the only way to get an ok miles/kwh figure is to turn off the heaters (not helpful when it’s cold). I have another few issues, enough to want to exercise my consumer rights. Wanted to return the car within the 30 days but have been met with silence. I will never purchase a car from this place again and am currently making legal arrangements. Horrible company with non existent after care. They honestly care more about their social media presence than they do their customers.

Happy to take the money for a new but when you ask a simple question as the car had an alarm fault, citreon c3 known issue.............zero response. Also before purchase I asked if the car had had the serious brake pedal box recall done, was told YES but when it went to my local citreon dealer and citreons own website said NO....this is a serious STOP GO RECALL........... they of course just denied everything, Avoid this company.
Bought a new MG 4 in January 2026,
Bought a new MG 4 in January 2026,, picked up in the dark to find it had a scratched headlight told me someone had burnt it which is rubbish. Soon as you buy a car they don't want to know. I won't buy off them again there's plenty of other dealers. I was sold a new pre registered car I doubt it was new.

I recently purchased my brand new car from Croxdale Group and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.
Although Croxdale is a large and well-established group representing several major brands, what truly made the difference for me was the outstanding service provided by Garredd.

A real shame. The after care experience not worth it at all.
You'll notice a bit of a trend I think with these reviews, buying a car here is a great experience, but hope nothing goes wrong.
Took our Citroen eC4 in three times in a year because it wouldn't start after we bought it. Customer service was abysmal, no clear communication and took ages to get it sorted. All promises of a courtesy car and support were reneged on, had to push and push to get any service at all.
Final straw: Just found out that the car wasn't serviced when we bought it, which the sales person told us it would be, so it's now overdue. All of the extras in our service plan we were promised also non existent.
Steer clear.

Terrible experienc
Purchased two cars from Croxdale previously. Experience was very good. However , went to part exchange again in November and it was horrible. Offer for my car was reduced for a fault that the car didn't has yet! Might as well reduced the price for the tyres that would need replacing in 10000 miles! Sales Manager was patronising and obviously though I was clueless. I will never use things dealer again.

I have bought many new cars over the years but have never experienced such a charade as I did when dealing with Croxdale.
I ordered the new alfa romeo on 30/09/25 and collection was arranged for 13/10/25.
Due to a catalogue of errors and the inability of the dealer to provide any update and/or confirm a revised date for collection, I cancelled the order on 25/10/25.
This dealership is an absolute joke !

Charlie gave exceptional customer service
Excellent service from this dealer. Got to mention Charlie who dealt with me from initial enquiry, part ex, test drive and final handover. His product knowledge is excellent and answered all my questions fully. A very help chap and not pushy at all. Would highly recommend this dealer.
