Misleading information and incredibly unhelpful

I bought a laptop for uni, already paid way more than I was originally willing and spent all summer saving up for it, it was in stock when I bought it but when I call to ask when it was getting to the store as it was meant to be Saturday and was now Tuesday only to be told it was now out of stock and that I couldn’t get a refund before I got the laptop which I can’t do because the laptop is apparently now out of stock, they were very poor when I asked for suggestions on what to do and kept repeating the same thing, now I don’t have a laptop to start uni with nor my money.

Will be warning everyone away from buying from curry’s and making sure I get my money back and honestly it should be with compensation as well.

I wanted to buy a mobile as I wanted to go sim only and saw the iPhone I wanted at curry’s, I found the experience very good and the person that helped me explained about the phone I choose in great detail hence the 5 stars

My husband and I have not always had a good experience when visiting Curry’s but this time we were very impressed by the help we had from a sales assistant by the name of Riley. We were buying a television and were unsure of the technicalities. He explained clearly and at our basic understanding. He was friendly, knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour.

Ron who works in the Truro branch served me he was super very helpful witch was the best washing machine and fridge freezer to pick for me.

Went into your Truro branch to buy a new small TV for my elderly and disabled father. We were served by Theepan. He was very polite and well mannered. It was a pleasure to be served by someone so respectful. He even offered to help carry it for us, which wasn't needed but the professionalism from him was exemplary. He is a credit to the store.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Ron at the Truro branch, who did a fantastic job of rectifying an issue we had regarding the purchase of a PS5 for my son, and the subsequent refund. He completely saved the day, and my sanity.

Unfortunately the rest of our experience with The Helpdesk was a complete fiasco, hours wasted, ultimately meaning we were asked to make the 50 mile round trip to get our refund.

Being told by The Helpdesk that 'it is being prepared' and 'you will be notified when it arrives' didn't help, as that was why I was asking, because it hadn't arrived!

Also, when asking for a refund, being told 'you can't have a refund until it arrives'....again, that is why I wanted a refund, because it hadn't arrived!

I don't really see why I had to spend my time and money driving to a shop to get a refund, simply because you don't know where your stock is? I couldn't even ring the shop, as the number isn't advertised, but The Helpdesk could've?

Even after I told The Helpdesk that the shop had called me (3 days later) to confirm that it had turned up, couldn't they have rung them up for confirmation and then issued my refund?

Everything about your Helpdesk system is designed to put off and frustrate the customer, so I suppose in that respect it worked. You can't even complain by email, hence this rant!

Anyway, thank you Ron, you were great, I really do appreciate your help.

Easy to use website. Delivery to store on time. Shame the girl at the store was quite abrupt and kept me waiting (she clearly didn't know what to do). Another salesperson came to my rescue and he also fitted a screen saver to my new phone. Really good service after the initial delay.

What can I say, except fantastic service a good price and a positive experience.

Gareth at the Truro store was excellent. We couldn't do an online purchase so ended up paying slightly more for what we needed but Gareth made it so we didn't mind. He was excellent! Helpful, friendly and a pleasure to speak to.
