Ordered a piano stool which arrived…

Ordered a piano stool which arrived badly damaged . It took me about 4 weeks of chasing this company and getting different messages to finally be told my new stool had been posted to an local petrol station 2 weeks before which I wasn’t aware of . All in all a pretty horrible experience from start to finish won’t use their online service again but if need anything going forward will collect it myself .

Customer service is on point

Customer service is on point! I ordered a guitar on the 24th nov still had not received by the 15th December so asked for a refund as it was a Christmas present and i had a feeling said guitar was out of stock!! They sorted the refund swiftly no problems at all just a shame I couldn't actually get the guitar as it was out of stock :/

Lack of communication throughout

Lack of communication throughout. We were led to believe this was due to reduced staffing levels. If we had known from the beginning what the situation was, we would not have placed the order. The order was cancelled in the end because the required delivery date could not be met by Dawsons Music.

They said dispatched.. it was never dispatched

I ordered my daughter a drum kit for Christmas. It was supposedly dispatched on the 3rd of December. On the 13th I emailed Dawson's asking "where is it?" and they confirmed it was dispatched and being delivered by parcel force. I get to the 20th of December and still no sign! So again I email "where is it?" ... Never dispatched! Didn't even have it in stock to dispatch! Had they have checked properly the first time I emailed! I wouldn't have been rushing about like a mad woman 4 days before Christmas trying to get a drum kit for my daughter! I was forced into paying next day delivery for one on Amazon! Which I wouldn't have needed to do if they would have just looked into my enquiry properly at the beginning of December! Worst thing is! I didn't get my refund till AFTER Christmas! So I had to cop out for 2 drum kits in December all because of their rubbish communication and lack of service. I did get a refund. But the run around itself cost me money and they haven't compensated that. Never again!

I received faulty guitar (Fender Player), tried to contact customer service several times with no response. Luckily I paid via PayPal so managed to get money back. I wouldn't risk to buy from them.

Be under NO illusions - BEWARE.

Be under NO illusions. This is NOT the high street brand and business you may recognise. The brand was purchased from administration by a couple. I can only conclude that it is being run terribly, as I completely agree with the below negative reviews.

Confirmation of my order made over 13 days ago now, but the item hasn't been dispatched. No response to multiple emails and no one picks up the phone.

What's worse than bad customer service? No customer service, as in, this company may as well not exist and has just taken my - and others - money

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs.

Placed my order almost two weeks ago. I called after three days of it not being dispatched was promised a call back. Called again after seven days of not being dispatched was promised a call back etc etc etc. I'm now not going to receive the item at all due to a stock discrepancy. I called this company 7 times in total nobody was able to tell me where my order was, who was sending it or when it would be here. Absolute shambles of a company DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MONEY.

Really really poor

Really really poor. Concerned have lost circa £400. Bought an amp in black friday deal for a birthday gift to someone. Nothing from them since. No responses to any emails (despite promises within 2 days), cannot get hold of anyone on the phone. I'm reporting to my credit card company and trading standards on Monday. Please if you're reading this, don't order from Dawsons.

Selling used stuff as new

Bought a Fender Strat which was clearly used, with a ding to the body but sold as new. Wrote to them twice asking to explain no response. I wish I read the reviews here before hitting that buy button. It was meant to be a present . Now I’m embarrassed to give it.

You’ve been warned. Avoid.

Long delays on deliveries

Ordered on 17th November and now 10th December still waiting.

Website has no mention of shipping delays, yet customer service state they are having 'courier problems'.

Multiple contacts with customer service just keep saying the same thing. "No idea when your order will be shipped."

Avoid this company!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!

Ordered 17/11 and made the mistake of not checking Trustpilot as I thought they were a reputable company. If you're reading this then DO NOT IGNORE all of the negative reviews on the seemingly small chance that your order will go smoothly.

Amp missing in action, guitar with significant damage to body. I accept that mistakes happen. However...

Politely requested replacement - No email response, not able to get through by phone 'can't take calls from my location' as per other reviews.

This company is also linked to Alan Gregory Music and Musical Instruments - did manage to speak to them over phone, they seemed helpful and had assured me they were looking into it and would get back to me the next day. They didn't, then stopped answering phone calls and responding to emails.

I've never written a review before, but then again I've never experienced such shocking service.

Used to be reputable, no longer!

I ordered and paid for the “Blackstar Fly3 BLUETOOTH”. They sent me the (cheaper) Blackstar Fly33”. Now their telephones lines say that are unreachable “from your location” (I am in London, UK!) and they are not responding to my emails.

Get one set up first

Hey, dropped in as a new good guitar to a newbie in its box from it's maker through the Suez.

Not set up.... so no real saving... I'd go for a local UK based lover of guitars in future.

Why sell a guitar that has your teacher put their fingers in their ears?

A bit stressful but it worked out

I ordered a guitar before reading all the recent negative reviews. When I then read the reviews I got nervous, especially as my order appeared to not be progressing. As others have stated, their phones are inoperative, and my email went unanswered for two days. I then tried Facebook messaging. No answer either, but (coincidentally or not?) my order went to "Dispatched" by the end of the day, and was with the couriers the next day. I just received my guitar, unused and undamaged, eight days after ordering. And the price was really good. So a mix of good and bad. Take a chance, their specials are really cheap, but use a credit card just in case.

Company fail to reply for over 1 month

Ordered a microphone arm around 3 months ago, was told via email that the item was out of stock and they'd inform me when it was in stock again.

Fast forward 1 month I hadn't heard nothing back so contacted them to chase up the microphone arm and was told it still wasn't in stock despite them showing the item back for sale on there store.

They did offer to give me a refund but I'd rather have the product I paid for in the first place, unsure as to why the company are now not replying to any emails from myself
