I have been a long time user of Derwent pencils and have loved them. From graphite, to the Derwent Drawing line and into the Lightfast series. I had purchased some open stock Lightfast pencils, chromaflow and inktense to try out and really liked the Lightfast line. I decided to invest in the full set of 100 in the wooden box. Upon receipt, I noticed that many (over 40 of the 100) were substantially warped or had offset cores. The yellow ochre has hard bits in the core and the base of the pencil (painted area) has cracks. Very disappointing to say the least. I emailed Derwent and provided detailed photographs and description of the issue. I did receive an email back a few days later asking for specific photos. I replied within 24 hours of their request with the photos they requested plus a few others.

I received no acknowledgement that they received my email nor any follow up since. It has been about 2 weeks since then and despite sending 2 further emails requesting they update me, I have been met with silence.

I am at a loss as to what to do next. I have spent significant money on Derwent products and am beyond disappointed by their lack of follow-up.

All I wanted was for the situation to be rectified. I didn't expect to spend hundreds of dollars on professional art tools only to receive warped, scratchy, sub-standard products.

I would like Derwent to make this situation right.

As a military veteran, I use art as therapy and also provide art pieces for auction for animal rescue groups for fundraising, or memorial pieces for pet owners and donate the majority of the proceeds to animal shelters/rescues. I am beyond disappointed that my purchase has left me with a substandard product and has created so much stress over something that was supposed to be therapeutic.

My original order went missing. Customer service at Derwent were very helpful and resent my order within days

Excellent products and fast delivery.
The range of coloured pencils was excellent, I have used Derwent for many years and they give you great drawing quality and range of colours. I tried the Intense range which I was not disappointed in.

It arrived very fast and it was very well packed.

Derwent pencils are mostly all I use. Desperate for a beige colour pencil for animal portraits. Outside that the colours are fabulous

Great product, smooth ordering and dleivery

Made a mistake ordering the wrong pencils. They cancelled that order and refunded me. I ordered again and the order came quicker than expected. Very good quality product. Fantastic service.

I grew up on Derwent pencils from a young age growing up in Northumberland , you would use nothing else . Love art unfortunately life takes over and art fell away , so now retired so good to be able to get new upto date Derwent pencils that now come in many different formats , absolutely living my new Inktence pencils and blocks and new watercolour ones to . The best available and Ty Derwent .
