Deceptive Sales Tactics
So, I think their sales tactics are deceptive, with low product costs only to upcharge you significantly on shipping, for instance. Save your time and go to 4imprint.com or somewhere similar which has more up-front and transparent additional charges. DiscountMugs tried to charge me over $200 in shipping costs on 144 coffee mugs. The same exact mugs were less than $50 in shipping with another vendor....and it wasn't the shipping vendor or distance of shipping. I conversed with their customer service and gave them the opportunity to correct the pricing. The order was to be half white and half black mugs, but they gave me nothing more than their introductory sales discount - basically that you get when you sign up as a customer saying this is their shipping costs. On what planet does someone try to charge $200 in shipping on 144 coffee mugs.

Lanze was amazing! he helped me to design my cup and made suggestions for the design. he helped me with pricing and was so positive and nice. I highly recommend based on the customer service- I only just ordered and can't speak on the quality of the item or anything else as I haven't received it yet.

I couldn't even order- waste of time, CS ZERO help
I created a shot glasses order for 60 custom pieces. I was surprised the pricing was quite lower than other sites, but EVERY page I went on, every step of customization (with 60 qty already selected) showed 1.77/ glass (plus obvious processing/ shipping). When I went to check out I got an error that said there was an issue processing my order and to contact customer service to place it AND RECIEVE A SPECIAL DISCOUNT. After sharing my cart with Christian over live chat, he sent me a link for an updated cart. The Price had almost quadrupled! I verified with him and he said the price was originally seeing was for 250+ pieces and that this was correct. Okay, fine. Then I saw the shipping would now take a week longer and not make it in time for my event. I mentioned this to him and did not recieve a respone. I also pointed out their website was incorrect, but thanked him for clarifying the pricing. At that point HE IMMEDIATELY DISCONNECTED THE CHAT. Not only is it annoying that the incorrect website information made me waste my time on a pricier odlrder that can't even arrive on time as originally advertised, but I was never even provided a "special discount" because of the issue having to contact customer service.

Special mugs for a great group.
I wanted to surprise my group with mugs that would reflect them as a group for Christmas. There were so many different styles, colors, phrases, etc. I could not decide. I decided to call the company and ask for help. My call got me to speak with Lance Bacosa who was very patient and helpful to me in choosing the style, color, and a design for my group. Top notch customer service! Even when it wasn't their fault!
I've been ordering with DiscountMugs for 3 years now and they have always been helpful and easy to work with. This past order got delivered to my local.poat office and the post office never sent me a "package readyslip", in my mailbox, like they always do. I spend a week tracking the package and never could get a clear update. I emailed Patrick, my salesperson and he tried to locate it also. DiscountMugs quickly shipped out a whole new order as soon as they saw it was 2 weeks past when I should have received my order, no questions, no fuss, they just resent it. This whole time it was my post office who were in the wrong. Thank you DiscountMugs for the awesome customer service!
