Easy Pay Direct and their acquiring…
Easy Pay Direct and their acquiring bank Maverick Payments closed our merchant account and are holding our funds based on a false claim of “lack of response to requested documents.”
This statement is factually incorrect.
All requested documents were submitted promptly, completely, and with proof.
Despite full cooperation, our account was closed and funds were placed on hold without transparent justification.

Detailed Complaint
Our merchant account was conditionally approved and subsequently placed under review by Maverick Payments.
During this review, we were requested to provide additional documentation. We complied immediately, submitting all requested materials on the same day (or next business day at the latest).
The documents provided included, but were not limited to:
• Signed invoices / contracts
• Signed credit card authorization forms
• Full cardholder details
• Detailed service descriptions and fulfillment status
• Supporting compliance documentation
We possess email confirmations, timestamps, and screenshots clearly demonstrating timely submission and full cooperation.
Despite this, Easy Pay Direct / Maverick Payments later stated that the account was closed due to:
“Lack of response on requested additional documents.”
This justification is demonstrably false and directly contradicts the documented communication trail.

1. False Closure Reason
The stated reason for closure (“lack of response”) misrepresents the factual history of the account and our documented cooperation.
2. Funds Held Without Transparency
Our funds remain held in reserve by Maverick Payments, with no clear or documented release timeline, only vague references to “30+ days” without contractual clarity.
3. Lack of Communication
After document submission:
• No confirmation of review completion was provided
• No deficiency notice or escalation warning was issued
• Emails and support tickets went unanswered for extended periods
4. Operational Harm
The sudden closure and fund hold caused immediate disruption to our business operations, cash flow, and ability to operate.

The pattern is consistent across many cases:
• Accounts closed shortly after approval
• Claims of missing documents despite merchant cooperation

this processor is a bigger scam than i thought
12/01/25 update, they are so crooked they just debited my bank $75.00 for a $1,000 order last month that they shut down my account, refunded my customer from the money they were holding but yet debited my account as well then i had to contact my bank to reverse the $1,000 debit no they charged me for that money $75.00

I specifically asked if easy pay direct could process subscriptions. They said yes, it’s been months and it’s still not working. Every week the processing of payments fail. I have customers calling me all the time saying they can’t pay and they want to support and buy my product. I have lost out on so much money because of this company. Nothing gets resolved. I call everyday for days and finally get someone to answer the phone to tell me they’re having issues and then days go by and still nothing resolved. Please help!!!!!!
Utterly Disappointing Experience – Wasted Time, Damaged Credit
I could give zero stars, I would.
After waiting over a month and a half for a merchant account approval, Easypay Direct managed to deliver nothing but frustration. They declined my application for two absurd reasons:
1. “No online presence” – I do have one, and they never once asked me for proof.
2. Signing a legal document in another country – which happened only because I’m on vacation, something they could have clarified with a simple question.
To make matters worse, I got hit with two hard credit inquiries for this nonsense. That’s a direct hit to my credit score for absolutely no reason.
The whole process was a ping-pong game from one agent to another, each seemingly clueless about the last conversation. And when it all fell apart, they shifted the blame onto their “bank partner” instead of taking any responsibility.
Easypay Direct wasted my time, damaged my credit, and showed zero professionalism. Avoid them if you value your time, credit score, and sanity.
Edit: again the response is unrelated to my actual complaint about Easypay Direct.
Is this how complaints and issues are handled!
It is not simply about whether my application was approved or declined — the real issue is the lack of transparency and honesty in the process.
At no point was I given the opportunity to provide additional information, clarification, or explanation to address any concerns. Instead, the decision appears to have been made without any dialogue or attempt to understand my specific circumstances.
This approach does not reflect the kind of fair and open process that applicants should expect, and it leaves me with the impression that my case was dismissed without due consideration.
I believe that even if an application is ultimately declined, the process should be handled in a way that is transparent and respectful, allowing for meaningful communication before reaching a final decision.
Truly impressive!

Terrible payment platform
Terrible payment platform. Hidden monthly fees and “early termination fees” that were never mentioned but hidden in contracts.
Didn’t have a payment come through the processor for months and was getting charged hundreds per month without any notice. Stay away or make sure to vet properly and ask lots of questions. Scrutinize the fine print or suffer the consequences

Easy Pay does not report to the three major credit reporting agencies. I was told this after months of writing, emailing and calling that they stopped doing this. So, getting a loan through them, making payments and paying a loan off will be of no benefit to you. This is on top of the egregious interest rates. They have nothing to offer.
