Now the system has crashed and can’t get the company back to sort it out
Sunsynk told us to pick another registered installer
The new company told us that the wiring was substandard and needed to be repaired and replaced to IEE regs
The lack of a trip switch has overloaded the inverter and may not be repaired and might not be covered under Sunsynk warranty
Please object to this company closing!
This company is trying to close without completing work everyone with unfinished work needs to object to this on company house he cannot get away with stealing peoples money and just closing the business. Absolutely disgusting this is peoples hard earned money you’re running away with! Very dishonest man and colleagues from the get go your plan was to steal everyone’s money nothing was done correctly down to installation registration and certification.

Never registered our solar install in November 2023 with the HEIS Insurance Backed Guarantee that they made a big sales pitch of being part of. Never completed the paperwork for grid export and I had to do that with national grid myself.
Ecofootprint ceasing to trade according to Napit
I have just received this from Napit today "Please be advised that as of 02/07/2024, NAPIT has been made aware that Ecofootprint Limited may be ceasing to trade. Ecofootprint Limited are not communicating with NAPIT and email communications have been returned as undeliverable and telephone calls are not connecting to the Business at this time.
Ecofootprint Limited are currently in a suspended status of Membership, if Ecofootprint Limited do does not address the reason for the suspension by 10/07/2024, their membership will be withdrawn. Unfortunately, if the installer is no longer certified by NAPIT, this renders us unable to investigate your complaint as there is no sanction we can impose against the installer in a bid to resolve your complaint. We will conclude our involvement with your complaint and close it accordingly.
As your installation has been completed under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), the installer will have been a member of a Consumer Code Scheme, who along with the MCS standards will have required them to supply you with an Insurance Backed Warranty, which is an insurance policy that covers your installation in the event your installer ceases to trade and will last for a certain amount of time.
We appreciate that this may not be the outcome that you were seeking through our complaints process, however once a company is withdrawn or ceases to trade this leaves NAPIT with no further sanctions to impose against the installer. At this stage, your complaint remains open and we will continue with attempts to communicate with Ecofootprint Limited in line with our Complaints Policy, however we may not be able to facilitate your complaint to resolution.
We will update you with any further developments to your complaint and the status of Ecofootprints Membership and trading status. In the event that NAPIT is unable to progress with your complaint, we will provide you with details of alternative routes you may wish to follow to seek resolution.

This company seems to have gone out of business again as they have not been picking up the phone at all in the last three weeks and there is no way to leave a message.
They went out of business earlier this year but then came back again, but I guess it’s the same problem of inefficiency and incompetence.
They have left me high and dry with pipes from the air source heat pump outside leaking as the installation was faulty in the first place.
Do NOT do business with this company.

Booked an appointment for someone to come and give us a quote , and they never showed up. Stopped replying to my emails , never heard off them again which was strange as we had been in contact for a couple of weeks. Really bad customer service. Wouldn’t recommend

Initial teething problems were a concern but these have now been addressed. I applaud the way in which the company has gone about overcome recent difficulties. Our air source heat pump is working exceptionally well and a Mitsubishi service confirmed that our installation is of high quality - a great reassurance. Our handover pack included the full warranty and other documents.

Be aware with Air Source Heat pump EPC Ratings decline
I had a air source heat pump installed last year, the product itself is great, a few hiccups but nothing that wasn't sorted.
The issue is around the EPC, I was advised BEFORE the installation that the EPC of my property would improve from a C as it was to a B 81 with the installation of the new system.
Do not be fooled, this actually impacted my EPC the opposite way and it was downgraded to a D following the new EPC ! Gutted, I e-mailed to ask about this and I have received no reply to my query. This apparantley is due to the amount of electricity they use ! I thought I was being kind to the environment by doing this but clearly not in terms of energy efficiency for my house.

Real shame as the installation was fine. But back up is non existent.
Took the money and ran - no help at all with issues.
Had a Air Source Heat Pump installed in August. All seemed fine. We've now discovered that it isn't working properly with the solar panels, as we have more sunshine. And they promised it would work perfectly on installation. Called them multiple times over 3 weeks to get someone to come out. We had to chase despite them promising to call us when sorted - they didn't. When we finally had an engineer out they said we had a faulty part and need to contact the company for replacement under their warranty. Been trying to call and email multiple times since and no one is answering. It's almost like they've taken the money and run. We've even contacted the engineer who came out and he hasn't heard from them either.
Really pissed off as they haven't installed correctly and now there is no way of getting hold of them to replace the faulty part they gave us.
Don't go with these guys! They are attentive and in constant contact up until the install and they've been paid. After that, it's a ghost town. Plenty of Google reviews say the same as us.
If they decide to read this, which I doubt, please give us your new phone number so we can call you and get someone to fix your mistake.
FYI no one answers 01302 613224 or 01302 713735 or 01302 713733 (complaints line) so I want a different number.

We paid for the servicing and relocation of our heat pump, and their engineers failed to turn up more than once and now they would not answer telephone calls and emails.
Work carried out but no certification…
Work carried out but no certification or warranty given. Looks like they are going out of business and I'm left with a house I can't insure. The certification bodies don't seem to be able to help, which makes me wonder why we have them! I'd say avoid ecofootprint, but you won't be able to get hold of them anyway. I hope people haven't lost too much money with these guys.

My advice is to steer well clear of this company. I have had a bad experience with a total failure to answer phones, voicemails and emails. They will present themselves as slick and efficient up front but it’s smoke and mirrors. There’s nothing behind it.
Company looks like it is folding
Caution everyone this company looks like it is going under, loads of staff have left in last few weeks and phones are not answered rang 50 times since yesterday.
We currently have no heating and have can’t get them to help. We had a plumber from them yesterday to fit something that should have been fitted when installed ASHP in Dec 22 and then he couldn’t get the heating back on afterwards, so left us with just hot water. Phoned HIAS now and waiting a response, that was over 5 hours ago
Disappointing service
Multiple postponements concerning the various surveys. Once I did receive the report I received no reply to 3 attempts requesting further information / clarifications. Can only conclude company is seriously overstretched.
OK as long as you don’t ever need them after you have paid.
From an installation perspective, all apparently went just about ok, but… just hope that nothing goes wrong. I had solar panels and a battery installed. The site report was rubbish, but this was repaid. However, the installation team turned up with the (wrong) post-survey items and had to get more. The roofers and electrician were excellent, but sub-contracted. I had to wait ages for the DNO and MCS. When the whole system started to malfunction, the company response was poor in that they simply don’t respond to emails and promise lots on the phone but don’t deliver. I eventually gave up on them and went to the manufacturers who were fortunately professional. The Company warranty and financial performance guarantee are worthless. Such a shame as there was lots of promise, but totally let down by after care.
Do not use Ecofootprint
I would have given a minus review if it were possible. From the reviews here you can see that they only respond to those who give 5star satisfaction which tells you how useless this company is. They are only interested in the money and do a doggy job.
I fitted the ASHP May 2023 and since that day it has been a horrible experience. The workers left my house in a mess but I that wouldn’t have been a problem if the nonsense they fitted worked as it should. It started with no hot water and I requested several call outs by June 12th i sent a strong worded email as it was the 4th time i was requesting someone came to sort the problem but they sent an engineer who knew next to nothing about what to do. One of the senior engineers John eventually turned up and sorted the hot water thanks to John. As it was a lovely hot summer we didn’t know if the heating would work but I was apprehensive.
Winter came and we discovered that the main bedroom heating was not working. Again we went back and forth and I must say that Una the manager is so rude and not helpful at all. We have not been able to use that room since winter because it is so cold and now mouldy. We got a 3 weeks wait for an engineer only for my wife to wait all day on the 7th February 2024, and nobody turned up. I have now commenced the process of seeking redress with the regulatory bodies and I will go any length to get this rubbish off my property. It is shocking that the government allows companies like these rip off people who are trying to key into the whole green economy. The whole project cost about £14,000 including the government £5,000 grant. This company is just out to collect the money and not interested if you have a problem. I’m not confident that HEISS will be able to do anything here and I’m sure I will be taking this up legally.
I regret ever using Ecofootprint, should have gone with British Gas or Octopus who are more known and assessable.
