Excellent Editing and Customer Service
Mona, who manages correspondence, due dates, etc. is kind and responsive, often e-mailing back well under 24 hours. She is a pleasure to work with, not once have I had to wonder about the status of my manuscript.
As for the editing, I submitted a 275-page thesis well before the agreed deadline. I in no way expected the editors to get back to me any sooner, as the early submission had been my choice. Regardless, Mona assured me I could expect a turnaround time similar to the one initially agreed, and indeed, this was the case.
Where the theoretical/literary content is concerned, it is evident that the editor took notes, understood the work’s foundation, and suggested pertinent ways of improving the thesis. Every comment, from linking sentences to larger theoretical faults was spot on, and as much as someone with my lack of patience and as sick of my thesis might grumble, I truly appreciated their work. It has been very helpful to have these gaps pointed out to me, and my work is better for it. I especially appreciated their suggestions for tying together the overarching claims of the work, as I have lost perspective on which initial claims/questions were clearly answered and which weren’t. The answers are in my head, and I have a pesky habit of assuming they’re in the reader’s head as well, which the editor kindly pointed out to me.
Regarding the more mechanical aspects of language, the editor pointed out all formatting flaws and grammatical mistakes I missed, in a way that was polite and a breeze to get through.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Editing Press Inc, they are professional, thorough, knowledgable, and personable.

I had the most positive experience with…
I had the most positive experience with editing through Editing Press. From the beginning communication with them was consistent, quick and easy. I received feedback on each email within 12-hours, max. As for the editing of my document, not only were edits made directly to the chapters but comments were added and I received an additional page of comments/suggestions. The whole process was incredibly positive from start to finish. I highly recommend editing press!

I'm afraid I have to take back my…
I'm afraid I have to take back my glowing review from several years ago. I said that their feedback got my article published in a top tier journal, but that will not happen today with their increasingly poor editing. Moreover, they charged me twice on a recent edit and won't respond to my emails! I trusted them enough to let my workplace pay ahead for a service and by the time I use the fund, I was double charged on my personal credit card. I contacted them multiple times and got no response over a two months period. If that is how they treat a return customer, I'd say don't be one.

Hello, Violet. It's with great sadness that we read this updated review. We have written to you with an explanation of the delay in our replies to your emails, but in the event that our message was buried in your inbox, we would like to take this opportunity to explain things once more. In our books, you contracted for roughly $196 in November 2018, and used institutional funds to pay for the invoice. You subsequently submitted a set of manuscripts that, as far as we can see, used up the word count quota provided by that sum total. Once that quota was depleted, you contracted a further time for roughly $150, and we asked if you would like us to submit a request for a charge for that amount on receipt of your signed contract. You replied that that would be fine, and so we did as instructed, namely, submitted a request for the charge on receipt of your signed contract. It would be illegal to charge your card without receiving your signed contract, and this is an issue that is subject to the strictest regulation on our end, so it is almost inconceivable that a charge would be made without your express—i.e., written—permission. You are now claiming that the sum of $150 was part of the initial sum of $196. The process for investigating the issue on our end requires that we reach out to our payment processor, Stripe, to dig up the relevant payment history—this is a process that takes time and requires that we rely on the responsiveness of the folks at Stripe. When they are unresponsive, as they have been, the issue gets stuck, as it has in your case.
Now, having said all that, it is not in our interest to inconvenience you for such a small sum, and so we have decided to circumvent Stripe and issue the refund of $150 regardless of the facts so that we can clear our desks—yours and ours—of this problem. Our Director of Academic Editing gave you a ring yesterday and left a message, and I have myself sent you an email describing our intentions. We just need you to get back to us so that we can clarify next steps. If you could give our Director a call at the number left on your voicemail, it would also be an opportunity for us to apologize at the highest level of our collective and make amends in a working relationship spanning several years. We very much value our authors, and we wish to clear the air of any issues that are getting in the way of further collaboration.

I was pretty happy with the Editing…
I was pretty happy with the Editing Press Inc. They are very nice and responsive. Usually they work within the timeline I need, even if that's urgent. The price is not cheap but it includes all the further editing if needed. They seem very experienced and professional. I would be happy to work with them again.

I feel very fortunate …
I feel very fortunate that I was able to find these wonderful people. They have been instrumental in helping me craft my dissertation.
