The gym in East Putney is wonderful - what makes it especially great as the staff are so helpful, especially Edwardo and Laura, on reception, who are so welcoming. I love being a member and the reformer and yoga pilates classes are excellent!! We also love the socials!

Been a member for over 2 years. Staff and instructors are great, new owners not so much. They used to have great boxing classes but even though classes were almost always full the space has been reduced to a minimum. People complained and the space was actually reduced even more.

Used to be a great gym now it’s just ok, with the added frustration that feedback is ignored.

I started my membership earlier this year and added Reformer Pilates as an extra. Unfortunately, the Reformer experience has been very inconsistent so far.

On several occasions, Reformer classes have effectively been cancelled after the class start time due to instructors not turning up. This isn’t a case of advance notice; everyone has already arrived at the gym, and only after waiting around 10–15 minutes do members go to reception to ask where the instructor is, at which point the class is cancelled. This is particularly frustrating as people have already travelled to the gym specifically for the session.

While credits are usually returned, that doesn’t make up for the wasted time and disruption, especially when this happens more than once.

The Reformer studio itself also has some ongoing issues. The room has no windows and there appear to be problems with ventilation, along with ongoing issues with lighting and air conditioning. This can make sessions uncomfortably hot, and classes have also been disrupted by lights tripping.

For something that’s priced as a premium add-on, I expected the Reformer offering to be far more reliable and better managed. Based on my experience so far, I’m genuinely considering cancelling my membership if these issues continue.

Staff are friendly, but at the moment the Reformer offering doesn’t feel worth the additional cost.

The state/cleanliness of the shower rooms and toilets. If this item was addressed then my rate would be higher.

Super crowded and they continue to accept members. Few equipments options. 3pm and for the third time I spent 20 minutes waiting to release the equipment that the person used for free exercise... they should increase the space or not permitted people use the equipments for another kind of exercise that it's for .

The staff is helpful, the equipment is perfectly adequate and the gym is generally not very busy. Although somewhat small, a very convenient experience.

I am very impressed with Énergie for several reasons. The premises are great: spacious, clean, uplifting and tranquil. It’s not an intimidating place and people from all ages seem to enjoy attending. The staff are welcoming, professional and knowledgeable, happy to help you and to engage in conversation but equally respectful if you want to work out quietly. There is a great range of fitness equipment and classes on offer too, all included in the price. Great value for money all around. I would highly recommend.

Everything is really good but I can't book any classes for the past couple of months and I'm not sure why 😅 but other wise everything is perfect 😊

The staff at the gym are really helpful and friendly. they will always great me and my friends when we arrive at the gym. they are very helpful and always around to help with anything we need. I really enjoy the classes and they have started a new day time box fit class. I also love Zumba every Monday and Wednesday. the Zumba teacher is really good with the moves.

Nice location, great environment, lots of great equipment and above all , lovely staff.

Clean gym. New equipment. Not crowded.

I got an email from this gym asking me to rate them. I took a gym membership here and tried to cancel after the first session. I was informed I had to cancel by the end of the first month and they’d take payment either way so why not give it a go for ~6 weeks for which I paid. Ok, but after a couple weeks my feedback remains the same:
- the free weights are in no order at all and it drives me nuts. Every single gym I’ve ever been to has a strict order of increasing weights to keep the gym looking organised and to make your visit faster by not hunting randomly for weights. It’s the easiest thing to fix and yet after raising it three times they can’t be bothered.
- many machines have weights sitting on them; people don’t empty their weights and nearly stack them back. This is easy to fix but if the staff fail to attend to this neither will its patrons.
- the bathrooms are fairly poor: both times I’ve tried to shower the stall I used had the water shooting everywhere but on me and the soap dispenser hanging off the wall empty. On one occasion I told the staff member cleaning who grunted at me. Who knows if he took me seriously - they didn’t when I raised the weights.
- there is very little space for stretching.
- the staff when not personal training sit about doing nothing. They could easily be attending to my issues above.
Overall I have cancelled my membership to switch to Putney leisure centre; here, I was offered a tour and a free trial if I needed it (I didn’t the tour was comprehensive and the gym much more organised). If this gym had let me cancel after my first 30mins session where I realised it wasn’t for me I wouldn’t need to explain all this but they insisted I try and then asked I review it. So here it is: spend time organising your gym so it doesn’t look like some unmanned and unmaintained hotel airport gym where no one has any pride in it.

I enrolled this gym and asked if I wanted to leave what to do. They said just to let us know at least 10 days before the the next bill starts. I had to leave the country and I cancelled it as I was told and even went to the gym to speak with the manager and he told me that everything was done as I should. Few days after I got an email saying that I had to pay another month as the gym’s policies. I explained that I was told what I wrote up and that I wasn’t in the country. They said that everything was explain in the welcoming policies ( I didn’t read them as I had the manager in front of me ) and I asked everything that I needed it. At the end I had to paid another month without being even in the country. What I hate is that I asked before enrolling and they said you can go whenever you want, there is no contract and you just need to let us know with 10 days in advance ( before my next billing) . Lie!!
