I dealt with two staff at Ernest Gordon, a male and female. Both were professional and helpful throughout the whole process. I can't thank them enough.

Awful company. Do not use if you are an employer looking for employees.
Incredibly pushy, despite being asked not to call, continued to do so anyway, and again told not to and then I received a rude email in response.

After calling to make a complaint I was put through to someone, who it was very clear from the beginning had a real attitude. he clearly wasn't interested in hearing what I said, and seemed think that it's ok to ring on a daily basis when specifically asked not to.

Horrible experience which I have never had in many years of dealing with recruiters.

EGR are like most recruitment data harvesting companies who profiteer of fake jobs by selling or brokering your data.

If, I don't hear back from a recruitment company within 3 working days, I email them with the text below requesting the Right to Erasure/Forgotten:

Can you kindly action the following please?

Under applicable privacy legislation, including (but not limited to) Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulations) ('GDPR') (the "Privacy Laws"), and submit requests for implementation of these rights to any legal and natural persons governed by the Privacy Laws:

1. To obtain erasure (deletion) of my personal data (information).
2. To withdraw any consent I have given to the processing of my personal data (information).
3. To object to the processing of personal data (information) concerning me, including but not limited to profiling, DBS processing and direct marketing.

If the recruitment company fails to comply or respond within 30 days then go to the ICO and make a complaint.

Not surprised by the rating!

Similar experience to others, zero contact tried calling and emailing multiple times all of which have been ignored.

You are reason candidates hate recruiters and despise applying for roles listed by recruitment agencies.

Any company getting into bed with you should check these reviews as I’m sure they’d be interested in all the talent and opportunity you have lost them due to being plain ignorant.

Extremely poor service. Applied for a job and tried contacting them on email, telephone and through their website, also reached out to a manager through LinkedIn and all were ignored. Instead of just rejecting you as a candidate they just ignore you - really bad customer service - I would recommend you think twice before apply for roles with them.

I was very disappointed with reaction from Ernest Gordon following a job advert which I applied for. The job was for a railway assessor which I was invited to a Teams interview as I had all the experience and qualifications for. Following the interview I had no feedback and I had to contact EG. They were not interested as it came to light, through my tenacity, EG had not understood what the job was! The company was after a trainer assessor as it transpired. Ernest Gordon's response to this was to not answer emails or calls regarding the situation. I can only think that they were embarrassed over the situation as they did not admit their mistake or follow up my calls. Absolutely disgraceful for a so called, reputable company.

Communication is very poor, the recruiter does not return your calls, followed by excuses from his colleagues.

Contacted me by email to advise they had a position that I would be a good fit for. I called them twice to speak about the position and was told the colleague was not available but would call me back. Still waiting 2 weeks later!
