I wish I would have read these comments before purchasing. They have totally ruined the drink by removing sugar. As adults surely we can make decisions in what we can and can't drink sugar wise. All d... Ver mais

These drinks have been absolutely ruined by Stevia, they taste disgusting now. The bottle goes on about traditional drinks and being established in 1905, well they didn't have Stevia back then so yo... Ver mais

Bought a Fentimans thinking they hadn't jumped on the stevia band wagon. Utterly, utterly vile flavour. Tasted the stevia in the first sip. Lord knows who they use to try their products. Can't have an... Ver mais

Oh dear
Oh dear. Are you reading and responding to these reviews Fentimans? They seem very consistant in their complaint and now I am adding to the list. I too used to buy Fentimans because they were about the only non alcoholic drink you could buy which didn't have sweetners in. I used to love the flavour of the ginger beer and the rose lemonade. I, like many people get very naseous after consuming sweeteners. I know Stevia is not classed as an artificial sweetener, but it still makes me fee sick (as well as tasting awful!} At the very least Fentimans should have highlighted the change of recipe on the labelling or through advertising. Badly done Fentimans. Sadly I won't be purchasing any more of your products.
Now has Steviol sweeteners
Now has Steviol sweeteners. Horrible aftertaste. No longer the traditional recipe.
Their Victorian Lemonade has been a staple on our weekly shop.
Opened a bottle earlier, and noticed a really strange after taste. Checked the ingredients to find Steviol.
The drink still has sugar in, but now also includes a highly processed sweetener that tastes vile and leaves an artificial aftertaste.
Incredibly disappointed they’ve altered the recipe without even saying on the packaging.
Fentimans have started using Stevia in…
Fentimans have started using Stevia in their drinks. They have ruined a wonderful product. Fentimans should change their labels on their products to include the word Diet so customers can know that a sweetener is used to flavour their products. They should also take all references to Traditional off their labels as they no longer use the original Traditional recipes. I'm never buying Fentimans again as they have shown complete disrespect to their customers tastes.
Used to love the Fentimans range but…
Used to love the Fentimans range but now they’ve gone over to using sweetener I am no longer buying it. It was nice to have a decent drinks company sticking to good old fashioned natural sugar so I’ll have to search for another one. Thank god bottle green are sticking to their guns.
So disappointed
So disappointed. You changed the ingredients to save a little money on the sugar tax, and made the drink less good. I would have happily paid more for the original recipe. Instead I'll just stop buying.
Why change a good thing??
Why change a good thing??! 😔
Used to be a huge fan of their cherry cola and curiosity cola, as it reminded me of my childhood eating fizzy cola bottles, sure it's a premium product so was happy to pay as a treat.
However imagine my utter disappointment when the other day my partner bought home some as a treat, I had my first mouthful and almost spat it out, they have taken the sugar out for Stevia, which honestly tastes bitter and horrible, I could of cried.
I appreciate companies are all about the profits nowadays, greed has taken place of good customer service but honestly I can't see how fentimans could be making any profits from customers if we all share the same view, it's completely ruined what was once a great product, same applies to pepsi too, I appreciate the government and sugar tax is a thing but it's about the quality of a product which customers would pay for even at a premium if it's good tasting, whereas now this belongs in the bin alongside new pepsi, I'll just go back to coke.

Awful since they have changed the recipe. Used to be the best coke but they have now ruined it.
The recipe change to stuff it with…
The recipe change to stuff it with sweeteners is absolutely odious. Bought my last bottle
Fentimans is now undrinkable
Fentimans is now made with sweeteners instead of sugar. It’s revolting. I had a bottle at Christmas and thought I had covid because I couldn’t taste a thing … then the aftertaste of Stevia (or whatever crap it’s made with) hit me.
Will never ever buy this again.
Was traditional and nice now disgusting synthetic and artificial
Used to like curiosity cola, but was supposed to find they changed the recipe to use artificial sweeteners. The whole idea of Fentimens is a traditional recipe. What is traditional about this artificial yuk, also it tastes disgusting and is probably very bad for you in the long term. At least put on the label 'New Artificial recipe' or something so the consumer knows. Terrible money grabbing company with no ethics.
Noooooo! Why why why
One of the last refuges from bloody sweeteners has gone!!!! What are they thinking of? and why is the world so messed up that you struggle to find a single drink without sweeteners in it. I bought 4 bottles with no idea of the recipe change...😭 I will no longer be buying it, it's ruined. I want my money back!
Unadvertised change to recipe…
I got a nasty shock when I took my first sip of the unadvertised changed recipe Fentimans Rose Lemonade. There was no indication on the main label that it had changed. I am sensitive to and cannot abide artificial sweeteners. I tipped the whole bottle away. What a waste of money. Sadly another brand, like standard pepsi to avoid.
artificial sweetener WARNING
I discovered Fentimans only recently during the plandemic lockdown of 2020 and found both the ginger beer and curiosity cola to be a cut above any other brand of soft drink I've ever enjoyed (and there's been many)
I would describe this brand to friends who'd not tasted Fentimans drinks as the Rolls Royce of the soft drink industry.
Unfortunately this has changed dramatically due to the company changing its recipe and replacing roughly 50% of its sugar with an artificial sweetner (YUK)
I've never liked any food drink that replaced sugar with this artificial garbage, just on taste alone.
Years later we find the apparent serious health issues regarding use of aspertame saccharin, sucralose and stevia and no doubt most other alternatives to sugar.
Researching this evening further into my once favoured brand of soft drinks I found an article from the New York Times stating the WHO warning the use of NSS (nonnutritive sweetners) does not confer any long-term benefit in reducing body fat in adults or children. Results of the review also suggest that there may be potential undesirable effects from long-term use of NSS, such as an increased risk of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and mortality in adults
FENTIMANS pls take note of these warnings and the reviews everywhere for where your products are available, as the reviews have dropped off a cliff due to this extremely bad judgement in your once finest product line up
Undrinkable now it's full of…
Undrinkable now it's full of sweeteners. Just poured nearly a full bottle down the sink it's that bad!
Have the people in the taste test department at Fentimans lost their taste buds?
I used to love Fentimans Ginger Beer…
I used to love Fentimans Ginger Beer but they’ve changed the recipe and it now has some sweetener called Steviol and it now tastes disgusting. Very disappointing. Is this just because of the sugar tax? Ridiculous. People would pay extra for real sugar.
Sweeteners Have Spoilt the Drink
I love Fentiman soft drinks, and was happy to pay a premium as they were one of the few companies that didn’t add sweeteners after the sugar tax. I just opened a 750ml bottle of the Rose Lemonade. It tasted different and my stomach was upset - and yes, it now has Stevia. I won’t be able to buy it in future and now have a large bottle which will go to waste. Extremely disappointed.

It used to be a great drink but after adding stevia it's horrible. I'm switching back to Cocla-Cola original. What a shame.
Since the introduction of Stevia I have…
Since the introduction of Stevia I have not purchased fentimans products as they now taste vile. If I could give them no stars I would. I emailed the company as the ingredients on the website at the time had not been updated and have not received a response. The website was eventually updated about a month after the change to Stevia.

Was a massive fan of Fentimans for years - but they’ve now ruined their once traditional recipes with stevia which has ruined the taste. Should not be allowed to still say traditional if they’ve changed the recipes and the original ingredients without any warning. Bad move to lose the long time customers that loved the original products.
