I ordered the same item twice by…
I ordered the same item twice by accident. Realized straight away, so within a minute cancelled one order after following the information & guidance on their website. Received an e-mail 2 days later saying the order could not be cancelled as they had already picked, packed & posted it! ( blaming being busy due to Black Friday for the reason they had not answered my e-mail earlier, like that is my fault! & hence the order going through!). It didn't have time to hit their order system before I had cancelled & the items I purchased were personalized so would have taken longer, however said I could return the additional accidental items & get a refund!! I cancelled the order straight away, yet it was processed still & I was charged for it. God knows how long it will take to re-post, then process before a refund!! They obviously don't read e-mails . To add salt to the wound the items were delivered by Yodel. I had just pulled up in my car & was getting out when I saw the delivery driver leaving it on my front door step, taking a photo & leaving. I walked over & said " was you just going to leave that on the doorstep & walk away?" . He mumbled something & walked off. I then inspected the box & it was bashed & damaged. Just avoid! Charged twice even after cancelling, customer service unhelpful & Yodel...seriously did not care about my parcel, where it was left or the condition I received it.

Appalling company. “Sell” goods they don’t have and seem to have no intention of ever supplying. After I sent my first ‘where is my order please’ email after over a week not hearing anything, they refunded one item as they said it was no longer available. After another week of no updates from them I’ve asked for a refund for the rest of my order. Do not use them if you actually want to get your order!!
DON'T BOTHER
Delivery cannot be left without signature(!!) So rearranged to work address but Yodel can't be arsed to deliver it there, keeps going out and being taken back to depot (we are open 7am-7pm!) No refund as they keep saying out for delivery!! Absolute joke. Won't bother again
Outrageous delivery and import charges and no customer service help
I have used firebox a couple of times in the past and have been generally satisfied. This year I ordered personalised pillow and other bits to the amount of €35. I was charged €12.99 for delivery from firebox which stated “delivery duty paid”. I then proceeded to be bombarded on a daily basis by DHL - the Irish courier service they use looking for a further €16.45 to release the order to me. I contacted firebox who told me it was too late to cancel and too late to change address and that I could change address for future orders if I just enter a different address at checkout, which is belittling at best. I proceeded to ask for an invoice and a breakdown of what delivery duty paid means on their website which was completely ignored.
I feel firebox should take it to their team that their chosen courier service is letting the entire company down and possibly just stop shipping to Ireland altogether because this kind of elective reputational damage is irreparable. I don’t feel like a valued customer I genuinely feel exploited and trapped in a catch 22 situation. Honestly would anyone in their right mind order again having had this experience. I know the importance of duty is out of firebox’s control but they can elect to use a different courier or make it explicit that delivery duty does not include import duty, that I feel is the responsibility of firebox.
Terrible experience
Should have checked bad reviews before ordering. Ordered a fun, small gift for company event. Website did not indicate that item wouldn't be available. Took payment. Got e-mail immediately saying that item is not available, they don't know when it will become available or when it can be shipped. Have asked for cancelation of order and refund - let's see how that will go. Terrible customer experience so far, I shall not return.
Fault product
I ordered two toilet night lights for Christmas presents . On receiving I tested one using brand new Duracell batteries . After a few minutes , I noted an electrical burning smell and on touching the plastic casing , felt it was getting hot and starting to deform. I immediately took it outside the house and was able to remove the batteries .
I contacted firebox and sent a photo I was greeted by what I can only assume was an AI auto reply, as it was quite subdued for me telling them the item nearly caught fire . It made me wonder if any of these items imported from china , are actually safety tested in anyway for the uk market .
I returned the faulty item ( and the sealed one) last week; they received it back via Yodel on 16/11 . I am awaiting a refund .Also , I have twice attempted to post a review ( via the email they sent me ) but strangely it hasn’t been posted on their website . I guess negative comments aren’t allowed .
I have emailed them again today to chase up my refund .
Won’t be purchasing from them again .
Update: I did receive my refund for both items about a week later . Still feel the safety issue wasn’t addressed and the item was still showing on website but out of stock . Maybe there should be a symbol or note about product testing .

completely misleading description of item. rubbish, wouldn't have ordered if the item had been correctly described. Have returned but looking at the other reviews not sure if I'll get a refund!
I purchased two cups
I purchased two cups. Couldn’t get them on the English site had to go on the European site to send to IRELAND. £10 postage! I accepted that. Then I got another email wanting £12 more! It would’ve been cheaper to fly it over myself. Absolute nightmare and rubbish material mind you. Full of scratches and low quality material.

Quick, easy, and just what I ordered
Was a bit wary of ordering from here as I've seen many other negative reviews but guess Firebox have updated since then as I ordered items Wednesday and its arrived Friday - surprising when 2 of my items are personalised cushions. All items in great condition and was easy to track online.
I would take previous reviews with a pinch of salt, as I couldn't be happier!

Wouldn’t even give them one star. What a ****show. My son ordered something for Valentines. Delivered the day before to the wrong address. Yodels fault by Firebox courier of choice. Neither company accepting the blame when the pic they have of the parcel at the door is clearly not our house. Firebox not offering a refund or replacement. Disgusting behaviour and obviously how they make money.

Ordered the gin marmalade which arrived with the lid unsealed and had loosened spilling some of the contents. 5 emails and requested pictures sent but still no outcome or acknowledgement of pictures or replies to follow up emails

Wish I had read reviews on here first. As per others appears they get overwhelmed at particular points.
Ordered for next day delivery on December 17th. Received no email confirmation despite being charged. No response to emails or social media outreach.
Promises in advertising completely false regarding Christmas delivery and customer service approach simply is to ignore you.

Ghosted?
I placed an order on 11th December and as of today (20th December) and was charged for it, but I have had no further email saying it's been dispatched. The tracking link on the website doesn't work either.
I have contacted them by email 3 times, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and via the form on the website and not had any response yet. I can't find a contact number either which is really poor. It's all just really poor.
It was meant to be delivered within 3-5 working days and it's now day 7 and it hasn't even been dispatched yet.
Won't be using Firebox again unfortunately, which is a shame after being a customer for years and always being happy with my purchases.

Placed an order for Christmas with next day delivery and since, have had no update on order or advised when the product would be arriving.
What's happened to Firebox, they used to be great!
Appalling customer service, ordered Christmas presents in November, yodel failed to deliver them but insisted they did and firebox did nothing to rectify the situation for almost ten days, ignoring emails and messages on social media, today I've been issued a refund with rock all time now to go Christmas shopping, utterly dreadful experience, would no longer recommend to anyone. Maybe it's time to rethink your use of Yodel for deliveries as they couldn't find their own arses with a map and a torch. Not a happy customer at all.

And after all the headache sent the item back and waited weeks now for a reply and one reply saying it had been processed upon over a week and still no refund again contacted customer service who now say there is a delay in payments so could be at the end of the month COULD ?? Returned an item to Firebox. Tracking shows it being delivered back. Two weeks later no refund and they’re ignoring all my emails. Awful awful company.

I ordered a number of products from this company for Christmas presents. When I arrived home Saturday evening I found a damaged box on my driveway. The box was ripped opened. An item from my order nowhere to be seen. Another item smashed and the content all over the rest of the items in the box and my driveway. There were people in the house at the time and nobody had rung the doorbell to make the delivery.
However, I have since revieved a very prompt refund for the missing and broken items from my Firebox package for which I am very grateful. Perhaps they should review their use of Yodel for delivery.
Too expensive for EU customers
Should really advertise CLEARLY on their website that if ordering from outside of UK that import duty will need to be paid. Makes no sense to order from Firebox anymore..
