Extremely Disappointing Delivery Experience
I am extremely disappointed with Fishpools and the way my delivery has been handled.
My dining table and chairs were due to be delivered today after I had already been waiting months for the order. Before placing the order, I clearly explained that I live in Flat 2 and that there are stairs to access my property. I provided the relevant delivery information in advance, so this should not have come as a surprise.
Two delivery drivers arrived today and then told me they could not take the furniture upstairs and that the delivery would have to be rescheduled for another day.
This has left me in a very difficult situation. Because I was expecting my new dining set to arrive today, I had already disposed of my old table and chairs. I now have no dining table or chairs at home, and my children do not even have a proper place to sit and eat.
Had I been told from the beginning that Fishpools could not deliver the furniture upstairs, I would never have arranged things this way.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is that, after everything that has happened, I have asked for a refund and this is not being dealt with either.
After waiting months for this furniture, I expected a professional delivery service, especially when all the access details had been provided beforehand. Instead, I have been left without a dining table, without chairs, and completely inconvenienced because of something that should have been organised properly before the delivery date.
Very disappointing customer service and an extremely stressful experience.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry that your delivery could not be completed as originally planned and appreciate the inconvenience this has caused.
Whilst we may have been aware that your property had stair access, when our delivery team attended it became apparent that the table could not be safely taken upstairs by a two-person crew. The safety of both our customers and our hard working delivery team is extremely important to us, and we will not ask our team to undertake a delivery where they believe there is a risk of injury or damage to your property.
Following the unsuccessful delivery, our team spoke with you several times to find a solution. Your delivery charge was refunded before these reviews were posted, a temporary loan table was offered, and your order has been upgraded to a four-person delivery team, scheduled for 29 August, to enable the delivery to be completed safely for all.
We therefore feel it is important to clarify that the suggestion that your complaint or requests were not being dealt with does not accurately reflect the action already taken by our team.
We are also aware that multiple reviews regarding the same order and circumstances have been posted under different accounts. We are happy to respond to genuine feedback, but would respectfully ask that this matter is represented accurately and fairly.
We remain committed to completing your delivery safely and resolving the matter.

A little bit out on delivery ETA but a problem of the logistics company more than David’s.
They required more customers for delivery to Cornwall so there was another weeks wait after the initial 3 weeks

Grey Ratten effect garden table and chairs set
I called into the Waltham Cross Fishpools store . With the idea of purchasing a durable sturdy Ratten effect 4 seater garden table and chairs set . David the sales assistant observed us looking from a distance and came over to help . Not at all pushy. I was happy to proceed and we made the transaction with the knowledge that the set would be delivered to our area rather quickly . This was brilliant and It certainly was . The set was delivered and 2 guys put it together for me in the correct place . It’s a lovely asset to the garden and with the lovely weather this summer , I’m so happy . Our delivery team have confirmed that the furniture was delivered to the agreed location and that, to their knowledge, no damage was caused to your property during the delivery. At the time, you chose not to sign the property damage declaration because you advised our team that you had previously signed a similar declaration following a delivery from another company, only to discover damage afterwards.
We completely understand why that previous experience may have made you cautious. However, we would like to clarify that it was not an experience involving Fishpools, and our delivery team have reported that they did not cause any damage to your property during this delivery.
