The staff are like robots, name , dare of birth, about six times ! The waiting room is not relaxing at all, made me more anxious than relaxed , no room to calm down , no recovery rooms, in and out like sheep to a dip !

YAG Capsulotomy carried out quickly and easily and without the slightest discomfort. Procedure was expertly explained and performed. Premises were as clean as you would expect and the staff were polite and friendly. Couldn't ask for more. My wife believed she was losing her sight and that nothing could be done, so this treatment was a revelation. Both over the moon.

I was particularly impressed with the consultant, who gave me valuable advice and changed what we were proposing to do based on an extensive lifestyle discussion as well as the medical requirements. The rest of the team were amazing and went out of their way to fit in the procedure and consultations within our hectic lifestyle, so things could proceed as planned.

Everyone at freedom vision was so professional but also so friendly and reassuring. Mr El Amir took so much time to explain the complications I faced due to previous surgery and was professionally reassuring. I felt totally safe in his hands. I was very excited to be getting both eyes done at Freedom Vision Chelmsford on the 19th July and the process was extremely professional and friendly from surgeon to reception.

I had my YAG laser treatment at Truro and was very impressed by my treatment and left after 2 1/2 hours having been tested and had both eyes treated with wonderful results as I can now read the smallest print.

Sadly my operation was not as successful as I’d hoped. I had my surgery in April but still can’t drive at night because of the glare. It is now June. The hospital has tried to treat the swelling in my eyes, using drops I had to use 6 times a day. There has been improvement to my vision but not my night time vision. I am still being treated and hope the problem will be resolved.

Luke Simpson, for his experience and knowledgeable explanation as to what I was going though with my eyes, from initial consultation, pre opp, post opp's before, and after surgery, through to my discharge.
Thank you to the nurses who cared for me, carrying out pre-tests, treatments, advice, and suppotive care while I was in theatre. After care applying drops to aid the healing process and reduce risk of infection.
Thank you to the team at reception as well for making me feel most welcome, letting me into the building, clocking me in, regular offers of a drink from the vending machines, while waiting in the corridor or waiting room.
I was first diagnosed with Chateracts fifteen years ago, with annual visits opticians, change in vision.
Chateracts run in my family,
I found it quite an emotional experience being able to see again intermediate to distance vision, after Chateracts removed and premium EMV lenses in place.
I will only need glasses for reading close up now.
From my home I can clearly see the stars, and satilites in the night sky. Identify the birds at distance, see the Derbyshire Peaks, Welsh, and South Shropshire Hills some 40+ miles distant
I can drive with full confidence,
My visual acuity in both eyes is 6/4 with refraction, I am so impressed with the result from these Raynor RayOne lenses.
At my patient discharge yesterday, it was clearly explained my treatment comes under guarantee for twelve months, should any complications arise such as cloudiness build up behind the lense, Yag laser treatment would be used to clear.

Pre-op process and the actual surgery procedure are excellent.
However, the post-op session was rushed, and some key information missed.
Freedom Vision guide literature states that you are provided with a clear eye covering, which must be worn for the rest of the day, and the first night.
I was not provided with any eye protector. Since learned that there is no requirement any longer, but this was not explained after surgery, and still shows in their literature

From the consultation, tests, procedure and discharge, the nurses, Opthalmologist, co-ordinators and surgeon were friendly, informative and made sure I was comfortable and that any questions or reservations I had were answered. The procedure took place 2 days ago and already I am so pleased with the good sight I now have.

So the process so far has been great. Ive just had both eyes done at same timeand that was very good. Surgeon was great as was the team. im awaiting my first check up, but i did recieve a call on day 4 to check all was okay. the emv toric lens are brilliant and i anticipate only needing some off the shelf reading glasses.
