Penta made me change my mind
I wrote a review earlier praising Penta's response spend and quality. Since, the quality has dropped immensely. We have an user that can't get access to the account and also the response has been almost inexistent.
Update:
Since I cannot reply to the response I got. The associate did contact Penta multiple times and was not offered any solution. This morning they tried to identify again with IDNow and again it was not possible. The list provided on the reply shows US Passport as a valid ID, but according to IDNow's agent, Penta chose to not accept it.

Please note that a residence permit is not a supported document type as per BaFin 2017 regulations. Here you can find an overview of supported documents. However please note that the list of AutoIdent Supported Documents from IDnow, which you have sent us, is not supported for opening a Penta account but only the BaFin 2017:

Vor ca. 2 Monaten habe ich meine Geschäftsbank gewechselt und Penta gewählt. Hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich eine Bank mal so "persönlich" bewerten würde, aber Penta ist für mich tatsächlich fast ein Game-changer. Persönlicher Support, klasse Bedienfelder bei den Anwendungen, alles so klasse durchdacht, dass man direkt nach dem onboarding loslegen kann. Funktionen, die ich bei meiner alten Bank gar nicht kannte... Also ich bin tatsächlich begeistert - von einer Bank! ;-)
