Friendly and knowledgeable salesman

I had been looking for a car for some time, via Autotrader, Cazoo etc etc. I just couldn't find anything suitable within my budget or my specifications to be more accurate.

I seen this car on Autotrader that met my needs and budget, so I popped in and had a quick chat with Alan whilst I was passing , I said I call in after work. I arrived half an before they closed and I honestly couldn't ask for a friendlier guy.
Not overly pushy, which is very rare in certain quarters.
He was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The car was signed, sealed and taken away in no time.

The day after there was a phone call asking if everything went ok and again I couldn't have wished for a better sale.
100% recommend Good Motors.

Amazing team

Just a really friendly, incredibly helpful team. You are free to browse the cars, the test drive was no fuss, and the sales team were incredibly helpful. Alan at Good Motors made a great deal, and I ended up driving away in a nice Nissan Leaf. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks so much!

Great service

Great service—Alan shared detailed videos of the car via WhatsApp, which was really helpful. Friendly and approachable team, and their cars are competitively priced. Highly recommend.

Great Experience

Flew across from NI to purchase my car from Good Motors. Obviously flying over I needed everything to go smooth and easy and to this end Tariq kept me right. We agreed a price the previous day after talking to Tariq over the phone and everything I was told was true to form. In person he was a super guy, just gave me the keys and told me to test drive to my hearts' content. Cannot recommend Good Motors enough for a flawless transaction.

Bad Motors

Paid a deposit on a vehicle. When I turned up to collect it, there was no V5 document. The car hadn’t been cleaned or detailed. Once I got home I discovered that 2 alloys were scuffed. I messaged them by WhatsApp & they ignored me. AVOID AVOID AVOID

We’re sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience. However, we would like to clarify a few points.

At the time of collection, the vehicle was available for inspection and collection as agreed. The V5 document was in the process of being transferred, which is a normal procedure when a vehicle changes ownership. The vehicle was presented as seen, and customers are always welcome to inspect the car fully before completing the handover.

Regarding the alloys, these were visible at the time of viewing and collection. If there were any concerns, we would have been more than happy to discuss them on the day. We take customer communication seriously and do our best to respond to messages, but we encourage customers to contact us directly so we can resolve any concerns.

If you would like to come back, we would be happy to arrange a valet for the vehicle or speak with you about how we can help turn this minor issue around.

DO NOT BUY HERE

DISGUSTINGLY TERRIBLE customer care. They could not care less about customers. I wanted a car, put a £1000 deposit down after I was highly pressured, being told the deal is only on the table for today ONLY and if I didn’t accept it then they wouldn’t answer any future calls. I unfortunately couldn’t continue with the purchase due to sadly being diagnosed with cancer the following day after receiving my test results back (testicular cancer). They REFUSED a refund because apparently £1000 is more important to them than someone’s wellness. They asked for PROOF which I provided, showing them numerous documentations from the hospital which included CONFIDENTIAL information, yet they still said NO after “reviewing” said documents/letters?!? Good-Motors have absolutely no humanity and shame. You’re a perfect example of what’s wrong with the world. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

We are genuinely very sorry to hear about your diagnosis and we sincerely wish you strength and a full recovery during what must be an incredibly difficult time.

However, we feel it is important to clarify the timeline and circumstances surrounding this transaction.

You initially placed a reservation on the vehicle and arranged to view it. You then spent several hours at our dealership viewing and test driving the vehicle before deciding to walk away from the purchase at that time. Over a week later, you contacted us again to enquire whether the vehicle was still available. Following further discussions, you agreed to proceed with the purchase and paid a £1,000 deposit to secure the vehicle and remove it from sale.

At no point were you obligated to proceed. The deposit was taken only after you confirmed you wished to move forward with the purchase. As clearly explained at the time, once a vehicle is secured and preparation begins, the deposit is non-refundable. We then removed the vehicle from the market and turned away other potential buyers.

When you later informed us that you could not continue due to your medical diagnosis, we did carefully review the documentation you provided. While we were sympathetic to your situation, our deposit policy — which is explained prior to payment — applies consistently to all customers.

We understand this is not the outcome you hoped for. Our policies are in place to ensure fairness and consistency in how we handle secured vehicles and deposits.

We genuinely wish you the very best with your treatment and recovery.

First car

After looking for quite some time for a first car for my daughter, we found one just right at Good Motors. I spoke with Shaqeel who was really helpful. The fact I couldn't view the car in person,as it wasn't local made me quite nervous about the whole process. Shaqeel and the team put my mind at rest and reassured my queries promptly and also sent me videos detailing everything.
They even arranged delivery. Rob did a great job delivering the car on time. He was really helpful in finalising everything. A genuine down to earth guy.
I really dislike the whole buying a car process, particularly this time as it was my daughters first car.
The team at Good Motors put my mind at rest and I appreciated the fact that there was no pushy salesperson, so you don't feel pressured in any way

Avoid

Bought a car off them, tyre popped within a week (garage thought tyres were probably over pumped) - had to pay extra to fix, requested my car nut lock once I realised this was missing - after agreeing to pay the invoice for this they refuse to call or email back

Regarding the tyre issue, all of our vehicles are inspected prior to sale. Tyre pressure can fluctuate due to temperature and road conditions, and unfortunately punctures or tyre damage after handover are not uncommon and are outside of our control. That said, we would always encourage customers to contact us straight away so we can advise on the best course of action.

With regard to the locking wheel nut, this is something we take seriously. We understand you raised this with us and we did agree to cover the invoice once received. If there has been a delay in communication, we sincerely apologise — this is not intentional, and we would never ignore a customer concern.
