Ted was a genuinely nice guy, knowledgeable on the products and helped me pick out an affordable selection of gear to suit my budget. Thoroughly appreciated and would recommend Go Outdoors to anyone.

Poor customer service
After failing to remove a radio frequency anti-theft tag from my in-store purchase, Go-Outdoors expected me to drive 30 mile round trip (1 hr of my time) back to my nearest store in order to rectify their mistake. They refused to rectify the mistake remotely or to compensate me for the inconvenience of having to return to their store. Such poor customer service is very disappointing. I expected more from Go-Outdoors.

I went to this store to purchase cadac…
I went to this store to purchase cadac cookware set. 2 off stock was showing on the website. I couldn't find them on the shop. So I asked the till staff all three are its probably out of stock. So I asked Lucy who was on the shop floor , she went out of her way to check in the warehouse and find the set I was after. Fair play for effort where others couldn't be bothered

Mariam was so helpful in the Brislington store. Really recommend going to the store for footwear and her help made me buy more than I intended as the sandals were reduced a lot.

Great knowledgeable staff!
Mariam - in the walking boots department - was amazing.
I explained a problem with my son's feet and the support he needed, and she immediately was able to recommend things that would help.
We came away with a pair of boots which he is really comfortable in, and straight away walked 7 miles, by the end of which he was much better supported than in any previous boots.
Great staff make such a difference!!

Mariam (Brislington store) was super helpful when I was buying hiking shoes, I went through every brand to try on and was given all the time, mariam offered helpful advice and was very efficient and polite. A credit to the store

Fantastic support from Mariam!
I had very specific needs when choosing a climbing rope, especially given the weight I needed to carry on my expedition. Mariam went above and beyond to meet my requirements with a warm, proactive attitude. She helped me select the perfect rope with the right weight and length. I'm truly happy with her support.

I have visited Go Outdoors many times…
I have visited Go Outdoors many times and had a very average shopping experience. However today (August 2026 Bank Holiday) the customer service was excellent. Each time I asked for a size it was found quickly and with helpful comments about the product. Also Mariam the person who helped me went out of her way with information about various different brands and found me exactly what I had been looking for. I will definitely return to the Brislington store again and recommend Go Outdoors to friends and certainly in the Shoe/boot dept where Miriam was so helpful

Very unfriendly check out person. She huffed and puffed and could not smile. It was really unnecessary as we were not being in any way difficult. Would make me think twice before returning.
