Ive just bought a new set of clubs from Greg, They have been custom fitted for me and are truly the best fitting set of clubs I have ever had, ive only played once with them so far, but already the results im experiencing are outstanding, the difference in club to ball contact and general ball striking is just superb, Such a massive difference from my old Taylor made irons. Greg guided me towards the Eleven brand, I have gone for a mixture of irons and hybrids on Gregs advice, I couldn't be happier with the results, Superb service and advice.
The Eleven clubs are an absolute game changer for me.
I have also booked a set of lessons with Greg, Ive learnt more about my self, set up, grip and posture than I have done in the last twenty five years of playing golf, I really feel inspired to get out on the coarse with my new clubs and put into practice with confidence all the great advice and help Greg has shown and taught me.

Do not under any circumstances go to Greg Nicholson Golf, he is a con man and scammer.
I called in as I was visiting the craft centre and was persuaded to buy a full set of clubs by this smooth talking scammer. It was only after getting home that I checked his prices against his own website and found that I had been massively overcharged, his excuse was that in the shop it was personal service and so I could not expect internet prices. He overcharged me on every single item and I then challenged him about it and he agreed to refund me about half of what he overcharged. I have since spoken to may other people who confirm that this was not a one off and he has a reputation throughout the golf sales world for overcharging.

Great sevice I got a set of Eleven hybrids of them made for me perfect after just one week I shot 6 under my handicap so yes l love them so easy to hit a ball again looking forward to golf again I’m 67 . Cheers

Bought an ex demo set of Mizuno JPX irons. I appreciated the time Greg took explaining about the clubs, what he recommended for me in terms of shafts etc - much better than buying unheard as well as unseen. The clubs arrived in very quick time and in super condition. So thank you very much for your patience, humour and expertise. Would not hesitate in recommending this business. These clubs replace my last bought set (at least 40 years old) so I now can’t wait to hit them.

Absolutely ridiculous experience.

Paid for the clubs expecting them to be shipped in time for my lads birthday, only to be told I'd need to drive to the shop for a bloody fitting before they would release them.

As a beginner golfer, this felt completely unnecessary and came across as an attempt to upsell shafts, grips and every other extra under the sun. The whole thing felt like I was preparing for a PGA Tour event rather than buying a set of cheap second hand golf clubs.

The bloke seems to think every customer wants to be Tiger Woods and needs a bespoke tour-level fitting before they're allowed to own a set of irons. Some of us just want the clubs we've paid for to whack a few balls around a field!

After a week of back and forth, delays and excuses, I requested a refund. To be fair, the refund was provided reluctantly, but the overall experience was frustrating, time-consuming and completely avoidable.

Ordered a cobra driver but Gregg phoned and checked my h/cap and height etc and recommended a mini driver by Eleven with kbs shaft. Great recommendation for my golf game, clearly knows the game and that this club would suit based on my stats. Hitting this longer and straighter with more confidence.

I recently purchased a golf club from this company and was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The club itself was significantly overpriced compared to other retailers, and to make matters worse, an expensive delivery charge was added without being clearly disclosed during the purchase process.

What made the situation even more frustrating was discovering that returning the item and obtaining a refund was practically impossible. The process was unclear, unhelpful, and felt intentionally difficult for customers.

Transparency and customer service are essential when purchasing premium sporting equipment, and unfortunately this company failed on both. Hidden charges combined with poor refund support make this a seller I would not recommend.

Read previous reviews and beware. Bought a set of “demo” irons from him and when they arrived the condition was that of a well used set. Grips were a joke. Only reason I bought them from him was that they had a year warranty on them. Wish I had read previous reviews. He couldn’t be more unhelpful or for that matter condescending. Will be taking up my issue direct with PING.

Poor experience from start to finish.

Ordered some shoes from Greg Nicholson golf online that I’d been struggling to find elsewhere as they were last seasons. He then called me to tell me that the shoes were last seasons and although they were showing as ‘in stock’ on the website they were in fact, not in stock. Interestingly the said shoes are still showing as in stock over a month after my order.

Greg then tried to sell me the idea of different, more expensive shoes to which I declined and asked for my refund. He obliged and told me this would be processed.

I then didn’t hear anything for over two weeks, no refund confirmation via email etc. When chasing Greg he said it had been done but the finance woman only works Thursdays, he would check and make sure it’s completed.

2 weeks further passed and no communication. Called to chase and got the same story. At this stage I went via my credit card company to chase for me and the refund was eventually processed over a month after him saying it had been done.

Whole experience left a needless sour taste.

I went to purchase some hybrid irons and I was measured by Greg for the eleven hybrid irons and I was surprised at what he said to me and I have never noticed that am not a standard fitting size of a guy. So i purchased a set to get me through until my eleven hybrid irons are done as i had my clubs stolen from my car,so I went to my golf club this morning and I was amazed on how easy these irons preformed the way they went straight, and I hit the 6 hybrid iron to a distance of 170yds to 196yds and the rest of the set i hit the others with better results than my original clubs which were titleist ap3s. I rang Greg to let him know what I actually hit it to and he said once I get my fitted ones I will hit it further than that which I have to wait for a couple of weeks for my new set of hybrid irons to be made up to my size. I have also shown these hybrid irons to other members and they hit my 6 iron to pitching wedge. They were all impressed by the way they hit these irons further as well

I ordered a Cobra LTDx Driver (£159.95) from Greg Nicholson Golf which was advertised as standard new stock. Shortly after paying, I received a call from the shop admitting the item was actually a "Used US Demo unit."

I rejected the item immediately as it was misrepresented on their website. Despite my formal cancellation under the Consumer Rights Act, the shop has failed to return my money. I have been forced to open a Section 75 claim with Halifax (Ref: DIC-695***) and lodge a formal bank complaint to recover my funds.

Deeply disappointing experience. I have since bought a Wilson driver elsewhere with zero issues. Save yourself the stress and the "sleepless nights" trying to get your money back—shop at a more reputable pro shop.

I recently contacted Greg in regards to the purchase of some new clubs (eleven hybrid irons) I was on the verge of quitting golf due to (the shanks) Greg recommend the hybrid irons, he was pretty adamant these were the answer to my prayers. I have to say he was vert professional in his questioning of me over the phone before suggesting the club's. On his advice I decided to go for them. The level of service was exceptional the club's arrived 2 days after ordering. Took them out onto the course the following day and wow I was blown away how good they were, I decided to visit Greg's shop in Chester and add the 4 and 5 hybrids to my set. His shop is fantastic probably the best stocked golf shop I've ever been in i will no go nowhere else for golf equipment.

I had a good experience buying my clubs from Greg. He is an enthusiastic golf shop owner with loads of experience and practical advice. Sure he’s there to make a living and can come across as trying to be a little too helpful, so if you want rock bottom prices with little or no advice then buy off the internet or go to a golf warehouse.

We have been delighted with our purchase of Eleven golf hybrids which Greg gave us a fitting for in September this year. His professional approach and knowledge is excellent and thanks to Greg we are enjoying our golf so much more with these excellent clubs.

Wish I could give 0 stars complete con artist robs people blind over charging for shit clubs can get them for half the price else where but he sells you this story puts fake sale prices on the clubs to try and make you think your getting a deal but you still overpay by £20/30 stay well away from him and his shop he’s full of lies it says 20 day refunds yet he refuses them and makes lies up to avoid paying the refunds just pure scum I’ll make sure he regrets every person he’s wronged as I’m definitely not the first and not the last

I ordered some srixon zx4 mkii irons on the website site, the next day I received a call from greg to say they were only in stock with a graphite shaft, I stated to gregg I didn't want the graphite version and needed a full refund. Greg kindly stated he would process the refund. The next day I received another call from greg to say he would give me the latest zxi 4 Steel shaft which is the latest version at not extra cost. Greg went above and beyond and I ended up with a far better ser of irons

I bought a set of Cleveland Hybrids from Greg I was really impressed with the service was guided by Greg as to my current clubs and handicap and a set was made up for me, he has great knowledge and consideration as to my level of golf and the clubs I have now from Greg are great .Thanks Greg.

Great customer service Greg replaced my broken 3 wood after he reminded me I had a 12 month warranty fast delivery just in time for my golf trip would definitely recommend!!

Saw a club I wanted online. Spoke with Greg about exact spec and grip size. Ordered club. It arrived on time. Played with it today for first time. It did exactly what I wanted it to do. Find the fairway off the tee.

Over Charged
I was sold a golf club for £200 from this company. I was told it was a custom made version.
The club was completely standard and has a RRP of £129.99.

When I tried to return the product he would not refund the money. All he offered was a credit note for the price difference.

Please avoid this shop he is complete liar and worse than a second hand car salesman.
