Where do all the negative reviews come from ? Myself and my family have bought multiple vehicles and they have always met our expectations. Understand you are buying a used car not a brand new one. You have to expect something may go wrong as noting in the world is designed to last forever. When ever we have had an issues the guys have helped us out plus some. Please have some respect and realistic expectations and go and take a look for yourself. Way too may people expect something for nothing these days or a quick to leave bad reviews when they don’t get their own way. Go take a look.

Had a very good experience with our purchase from Hearsall common car sales. They have lots of cars for all budgets. The best thing to do is go and take a look at their vehicles as my husband is a mot tester and he has also bought a car there and been very happy. With any second hand car there could be problems but from my experience they were all resolved realistically and without any due cause for complaints. I witnessed a customer who had had their car for 6 months and had no problems but because they took the car to a tyre exhaust centre and had to top up antifreeze they where causing carnage and slandering them saying it must of been leaking and it was broken although they drove 30 minutes to get there and cause unnecessary trouble. It’s a shame really as the guy there was been very reasonable but was been abused. Shame on the Karen with a ten year old car with no visible problems but decided to slander them. Use your common sense and take a look for yourself as some people leave bad reviews when they dont get there own way.

I am extremely disappointed and upset with my experience at Hersall Common Cars. I purchased a car from them in December, and recently discovered serious faults that no responsible dealer should ever have sold a vehicle with.
A qualified mechanic has confirmed that the car was unsafe to drive, with:
• An oil sump leak that had been improperly sealed with silicone
• A coolant leak also sealed with silicone instead of being repaired
• A broken flexi exhaust pipe
• A recommendation from the mechanic that the car is not safe to use
This has been incredibly distressing finding out I was driving around in a vehicle that was unsafe is horrifying.

I purchased the car in good faith, yet the condition it was sold in suggests these faults were either ignored or concealed. Either way, the result was a dangerous and poorly repaired vehicle that should never have been sold to anyone.
I would urge anyone considering buying from this dealership to be extremely cautious and ensure any vehicle is thoroughly inspected before purchase.

Picked up my Peugeot 208 on Sunday amazing customer service my car was MOT had a service and was cleaned prior to me collecting the guys made me feel comfortable and sorted all the paper work out sorted the tax out for me. Would highly recommend this garage. Would definitely use them again and recommend family and friendsm

I have removed my previous review as matter is now resolved.
I did buy a car on the 23rd January 26. A car we very much wanted but unfortunately due to issues that wasn’t being resolved we envoked our rights as consumers.

24/02/26 I spoke to the manager Julian who if I could rate on his own I would definitely give a 5 star review and potentially if I had dealt with Julian from the start we wouldn’t of had to give the car back. He was polite and apologetic and promised the car would be collected in 48 hours. However 2 hours after initial phone call Julian arrived and as promised he transferred the car back to trade.
As first time customers to this dealership our experience hasn’t been great. But I cannot fault how quickly Julian acted to resolve the dispute.

I went for a 1 star because I couldn’t go lower. Got my mokka from this establishment waited till work was done for mot then picked up. When driving 50 miles home I could hear a knock I had this investigated and found to be a rear shock that was not picked up on the mot. My local garage detected an injector leak I reported this and was asked to take the car back for them to fix. I did this then was told I had to pay for the shocks and fitting. I had to agree and decided to have them done at home. On my arrival at my local garage the mechanic said he could smell diesel fuel. He investigated and found a sponge had been forced over the injector and caused a fracture to the fuel lines attached. I contacted Hearsall common cars and was told abruptly by the so called mechanic that he had done his job and I need to go to warranty for further investigation. I believe this mechanic is not fit to work on any vehicle.

Made me feel very welcome and there was no hard sales talk he just let you walk round the showroom and left you to view his cars

recently had an issue with my girlfriend’s car — there was something wrong with the blowers — so I gave Hearsall Common Car Sales a call. They invited me down straight away to take a look at it.

When we arrived, Mario the mechanic promptly took the car in to diagnose the problem and figure out what was causing the fault. While we were waiting, we had a chance to look around the forecourt at their very flashy and impressive stock. They have a fantastic selection of vehicles, all presented to a very high standard.

The lads there were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the whole experience. They made what could have been a stressful situation much easier to deal with.

I would highly recommend Hearsall Common Car Sales to anyone looking for great service and quality cars.

Bought my 3 daughters their first cars from here . Genuinely find the staff really helpful and knowledgeable about size and cost of cars especially ones for first time drivers . Will use them again for my youngest daughter when she passes her test .

Horrific. Avoid at all costs.
Bought a car 23/01/26, almost immediately noticed knocking from front end of vehicle. Contacted them via email and phone call as this was completely unacceptable and unsatisfactory. They asked me to return the vehicle for inspection, to which I obliged. They had the vehicle for 6 days and all they did was mot it once again and said all is fine but if I wished to get it independently inspected they would happily sort any issues that arise. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and did so. independent inspection reported both CV joints are in need of replacement. I then forwarded a copy of the inspection report and asked how this will be resolved only to get a sarcastic reply basically saying it's wear and tear and they won't be repairing the vehicle themselves but are willing to get it done at my expense!
noisy CV joints (constant velocity joints) are generally considered unsafe to ignore and driving with them in can become dangerous. Therefore the car I bought 22 days ago, and with them having the vehicle back for 6 days just to mot it and declare it "fine" it is now dangerous to drive.

Already in contact with citizens advice, and will be contacting trading standards.

Bought a Kia ceed back in march last year, I ended up waiting nearly 2 months to pick it up, needed both subframe nuts fitted and cv boot adjusting, warranty never covered it what a surprise

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THiS GARAGE/ COMPANY.
They sold me a car that was not fit for purpose. I took it to a garage at their request then they refused to pay the bill. The manager of the garage should not be in employment he tells lies fobs you off and is on loud speaker and not on receive doesn’t listen. I am at the moment taking them to the financial omnibus man. They should not be in business they rip you off. Stay alert people.

Bought a car back in feb, had a MOT that “passed”. Had loads of issues since then. car broke down as the accessory belt snapped, this happened in july and i needed a vibration dampener and all costing me 1.3k! I have a friend who is a mechanic and every other week im off to see him, the Air intake needed replacing as it had holes in it, the lights were not secured in the actual headlight, the list goes on. Stay away

From start to finish, buying a car from these people was an absolute nightmare. Bought a Kia Sportage. Which had so many things wrong with it. within 24hrs of having it. It had no power. I took it to my local mechanic who did a diagnostic check. Red flags everywhere. We used our consumer rights by rejecting the car and going through citizens advice. They ended up having the car back. We got told our refund will be given in a timely manner by the rude sales manager. They had put the car back up for sale and still no refund given. We had already started the charge back through the back which we eventually got. Disgusting company and customer service.
The car they sold us was bought from car shop then sold on through graylands.
Car bought on 25th Jan. rejected car on 27th Jan. given back to the garage on the 3rd Feb. It took 5 weeks to get refund, should have been 2 weeks.

The car was bought 25/1/24 BUT Hearsallcommon are trying to get this true event taken down. The date I am writing this is 8/12/25

It’s ok for hearsall common car sales to put lots of fake reviews on which all get written within 24 hours (18 of them) yet mine is the problem because it’s negative.

They don’t believe I’m talking about the same bussiness. I bought my car from Graylands. Which was part of the Hearsall common cars. Owned by the same guy. That company was dissolved in Feb 2025. (No surprise) again same people own that Garage and was its Sister branch

Try apologising for the stress that you put us through and holding on to our money and putting the car up for sale on your forecourt. Knowing full well you had our money. We couldn’t buy another car because you had our savings. It’s how we were treated by the owner which is the same as Graylands at the time.

Go through all the negative reviews. Some have been updated because they don’t want negative feedback and they keep flagging them. This all started in October 2025.

Save your money and the stress.
