In ordering a number of films (Blu Ray) at the counter, the staff member was really helpful - making use of the barcode numbers I had from the HMV website.
The films arrived at the store as requested, and at collection, again, the staff were helpful and proficient.

HMV as I remembered again
It is refreshing to go into an HMV these days and actually feel it's a pleasure to shop in. I switched to online mostly a few years back, but even then, I was tempted to buy elsewhere. HMV feels now it has the passion back, and what makes it feel special for me is that it's more focused on its core products and less on filling it with tacky merch and plastic bobbleheads. I would happily buy new vinyls and films in store and it helps that HMV has exclusive products.

Meeting Michael Ball for his Glow CD signing
I had pre ordered Michael Ball’s new album Glow with a CD signing wrist band. When I got to the store to pick up my CD I was served quickly. I explained I had requested a chair as personal circumstances meant standing in a queue would be difficult. This was sorted efficiently and I was able to wait for over 90 minutes comfortably for Michael to arrive. The whole event ran smoothly and meeting Michael was awesome. He took the time to listen to what I had to say and signed my CD as requested. Thank you to the staff at HMV-especially the chap who took the photos- they are great! Thank you!

I placed an order for a preorder DVD…
I placed an order for a preorder DVD that was due out on a later date. HMV delivered my order on the date of release. HMV also kept me informed with any details and when it was dispatched. This service with HMV is brilliant and far better than some other retailers who take your order then forget about you. Thanks HMV.
