Lovely personal touch
I ordered 3 classic albums for my son's 17th birthday. Two came immediately, the 3rd - Beastie Boys I'll Communications arrived a day or so later with a hand written note saying 'Best band ever' and a smiley face. A lovely, thoughtful touch!

Delivery was delayed - items not in great condition
Delivery was delayed, then when items arrived they were scrunched up into a ball and thrown in a box. Ordered two t-shirts and they were completely crumpled.

It would have been easier to have DVD…
It would have been easier to have DVD delivered to home address. Only on this occasion store closing for three week refit.

Very helpful assistant when I came to collect the item I had ordered, having forgotten my phone ID. Thought I'd be turned away, but he sorted it out very quickly and with a friendly smile.

What a rip off....
After making several purchases of records on line and being very happy with the overall purchase experience I decided to visit Hmv Newcastle store to buy a record case for my new collection. To avoid a wasted journey I phoned the Newcastle branch to see if the case was in stocks and also to ask if I could use a, Love 2shop gift card over the counter. The assistant was very helpful and I was very pleased with his advise. What I'm far from pleased with is the fact that I have just been charged over £6 for the call,,,, What a rip off, Never again HMV, my business is going elsewhere from now on.

Hello, we were sorry to learn of your disappointment at the cost of your recent call to our hmv Newcastlestore. The reason we provide 084 numbers for stores is that they offer additional options and increased functionality that helps us maintain consistent service levels across all of our stores. Regrettably, we do not have control over what additional access fees the various phone providers charge. For this reason we do highlight the additional potential cost to our customers at the beginning of each call stating that "Calls are charged at 7 pence per minute plus your phone company's access charge".
Should you encounter difficulties contacting any of our stores in the future, please feel free to call customer service on 03333 234 754 (Mon-Friday 9am-5pm). We will be happy to assist you regarding product availability in any of our stores. Alternatively, if your query is not urgent you can email us at store.service@hmv.co.uk and we'll respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.
We pride ourselves on the service we offer and we rely heavily on customer feedback in order to move forward and keep improving. We would therefore like to thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your experience.
