I ordered a hockey glove and the stitching came undone after only being used twice. It was clearly a manufacturing defect, however the customer service was slow and not very helpful. I received a refund after pestering, however they refused to refund the extortionate amount of postage I paid telling me I was out of the 14 day deadline. Really poor on their behalf and I will not be ordering from them again.

Tried on at home and felt okay, played one game and really struggled with calf's and feet tingling.
tried a second game, half way through 1st half he came off to change to his old shoes.
on email- 1 min i can return them, then next i can not.

Would give this company -1 if I could. Ordered a pair of hockey shoes for my son. They came he tried them
on in the house and said he didn’t like them. I put them back in the box and returned the next morning. A week later they were returned to me with a note saying they were showing signs of wear and the inside of the shoe was dirty and the soles were faded. All of this within a few hours. I have phoned hockey direct and they said they did not meet their return standards, in fact she repeated that about 10 times in our call even when I explained they were only tried on in the evening and returned I the morning and there was no opportunity to wear even if he wanted to. Absolutely ridiculous and appalling customer service. I have taken pictures and they are exactly how they were when we received them. I will never ever use this company again

STAY WELL CLEAR. Customer service is non existent. Ordered a stick from them a few days ago, and it still hasn't been delivered. They told me it's my fault for not reading the small print under the purchase button.

Took the order and the money. Didn't have the goods. Emailed back and forth for a week. Told them to cancel the order and refund me. They sent out part of the order. Had to get them to collect the order delivered that I no longer wanted and had cancelled. They had to chase for weeks to get the refund back.

We just bought a hockey stick for £55 for our 9 year old daughter to play her matches from Hockey direct . They sent the stick with sticky tape all around the grip hence made the stick UNgrippable 😡I emailed them with photos of the sticky tape hindering the gripping force but no reply after almost a week!
So I telephoned this morning and after speaking to Bilani over 2 or 3 times during this one conversation as the line keeps going “ silent “ ( hmm 🤔) so I had to telephone again and again ! She expects me to drive to the post office post the stick and take picture of that action & prove it to her THEN only then she’ ll replace the stick !!?? What planet is she on ?? . Go elsewhere to buy our hockey sticks guys 👍
you will never get a refund or any help
ordered a very expensive hockey stick , annoyingly the wrong size . We returned to them by hand exactly as we received it, it was brand new, hadn't been used. it arrived with us without any plastic wrapping so we returned it as it was. They refused to accept the return in any form as there was no wrapping on it, and customer services refused to help in any way, it was a flat no. I'd like to know what would have happened if we had sent it back by post and they then refused to refund. would they have sent it back to us? i doubt it...

I really wish I'd read the reviews before using this supplier. Firstly the order didn't arrive. When I chased a week later I was told they were expecting stock from manufacturer. I had to chase multiple times to try and find out when stock was expected.
They then delivered with an item missing with no notification. Again I contacted them, they say stock won't be in for another 6 weeks (mid hockey season). Third issue was two items of the goalie kit were sent as size small rather than medium (per order). There is no escalation path and 'customer service' (who are also sales, refunds and all other options on the telephone service), just try and get you off the phone as quickly as possible. AVOID as all costs.

Ordered a stick, got sent the wrong one. Contacted them imediatel, followed up several times and then the warehouse said this is what you ordered.
Save your cash and buy from another supplier there customer service is awful. Maybe i should be grateful I received something from the other reviews

Really great experience- after reading reviews I was a little worried after I ordered, but the shoes took less than a week to turn up, they fit perfectly and were in perfect condition. They were also better priced than other websites I went on! I also had great communication with the team on email regarding any questions I had!
The only negative was I didn’t receive an email to say they were delivered but it was a pleasant surprise when they were- everything else was spot on! Thanks hockey direct!!

I paid for a e-giftcard and called Hockey Direct several times because the e-card / email never arrived. They kept saying it had been sent which was infuriating. I asked for an email confirming they would issue a refund but guess what - that never arrived either. I personally would avoid this company at all costs.

Dispatch was a little slow since they apparently have to order shoes direct from Adidas, rather than holding in stock.
I asked customer service for an update and they replied within the day to let me know what was happening. Shoes arrived after about 5 days.
They should probably make clear that some orders will take longer than quoted, but otherwise the customer support was fine and shoes as expected. They were also drastically cheaper than elsewhere.

I have ordered hockey shoes for my daughter on Hockey Direct. Online I was told the delivery would be in 3 days. For this I was charged an extra £6.95! Six days later no sign of the order. In fact the system tells me it isn’t even processed.
Hockey Direct are blaming Adidas for the delay. I can’t believe a brand of this stature would be happy with this type of service? Meanwhile my daughter has no shoes for her matches this week.

The worst experience I have ever had from online shopping. Awful customer service. Have asked numerous times to instigate a complaint and for the matter to be escalated to a supervisor however I am continually ignored and informed “they are not working today”.
Nothing heard about my order for 6 days so I contacted HockeyDirect on 05.05.24.
I was told the hockey bag was out of stock so I asked for remaining items to be sent - stick and shin pads. By 0950 hours on 08.05.24 after a phone call I was told the items had still not been sent so I cancelled the entire order. I was assured this had been done. I did not receive confirmation of the cancellation so requested this by email at 1054 hours the same day.
The following afternoon I received an email from HockeyDirect stating the order had been dispatched and could not be cancelled. From checking the tracking information I learned the order had been dispatched after cancellation. From that time until 29.05.24 I experienced shambolic customer service, and received aggressive and condescending text in emails. This was a series of errors on the part of HockeyDirect however I was the one having to rectify and return items. I have eventually received a refund one month later.
I will never buy from HockeyDirect again and implore others to AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Send incorrect sizes and stretch out returns for items which were never in stock to begin with
Some of the worst customer experience I have dealt with from what used to be a good company. I recently ordered a hockey stick from them in the end of season sale. I ordered a 37.5 but a 36.5 arrived, this wasn't much of an issue as it's a while until the hockey season restarts however it is where the main issues i had with them started. When I informed them about receiving the wrong size I got a reply in the next working day, again no issues with this, and they then told me it must have been a picking error so provided me with a return label and assured me they would resend me the correct size once they received the stick back. This was on a Friday so I sent it the following Monday and it arrived to them on the Tuesday. After 8 days passed since they received the stick and I still hadn't heard anything from them or received the correct size I sent them a follow up email. Once they replied to this the customer support told me they would check with returns and get back to me, a few days passed and they finally got back to me and told me my size was no longer in stock what would I like to do. I then asked for a refund given it was a specific stick I was after and they issued this no problems however the next day I noticed the stick was still labelled as in stock in my size on their website so emailed to let them know and in the off chance they say 'oh sorry it is now in stock would you still like this stick' but they just said sorry we will update this. It's now been a further 4 days and it is still on their website in stock which makes me wonder if this was a picking issue or they never had it in the first place and are sending people a size lower in the hope they don't notice...
