With over 70 years since our house wiring was installed it was time for a rewire. We knew it would be destructive and with some flat roof some areas difficult to access. The team that took on the work admitted they were challenged but enjoyed working round the difficulties. They were friendly and efficient responding positively to my proposals made from knowledge of the existing installation. In places they used the existing conduit to get to these awkward places and minimise disruption. With raggling into brick walls to conceal the wiring and the removal of antiquated down lighters there was inevitably considerable disruption to the décor. The damage was well repaired with plaster.
A small point here was the extent to which the marking of the exiting plaster extended beyond the immediate area of damage. I also think the hardwood flooring could have been better protected.
As part of the project new downlighters were installed these provide much better illumination than the original fittings and the results have pleased my wife.
As an electrical engineer I particularly appreciate the fitting of the new distribution box with a RCBO for each circuit. This will mean that if an earth fault occurs it will only trip one circuit and not a group of circuits.
The job was finished on time and a couple of snags noted during the handover with one found later on. These were corrected the following week. Overall we are pleased with the outcome and will no doubt appreciate it more when the redecoration is completed.

We required a full rewire. In a house that hadn't had the electrics looked at since the 60s (apart from some dubiuos and frankly dangerous wiring done by previous owner's) .
HomeRewire provided great customer service.
We received a phone call from Jamie within 24 hours of 1st online contact to arrange a free quote, which beat the other quotes received.
When the guys turned up to quote, they walked through the job and made sure everything required from the customer side was understood, and all potential issues discussed upfront, i.e., locations of socket, switches, light fittings, etc.
A fully itemised quote was provided 24 hours later, and booked to do the job for two weeks from that date.
Zack, Craig, and Joe arrived at 07:30am on the agreed day, as promised, walked through the job again and were finished just after lunch time the following day.
Walls replastered, carpets relaid and place tidied up.
All in all, I am delighted with the standard of their work and would thoroughly recommend them for any electrical work.

We moved into our house a month ago and contacted Jamie at Home Rewire for a full house rewire quote. Quick and easy to get a quote and very competitively priced. Grant, Ryan and Craig arrived first thing on Thursday morning and did a fantastic job - with the spec exactly as we wanted. Very quick turn around with us back in on Friday afternoon. The plasterers Gary and Stevie have done a great job! The house was left clean and tidy. Would highly recommend and would 100% use again in the future if required.

Work was carried out promptly ,on schedule, efficiently and in a friendly, helpful manner.On completion home was cleared of all detritus,bagged and placed outside. Floors were hoovered/washed. Customer service was unparalleled with my queries answered cheerfully and well.

HomeRewire carried out a full rewire on our 1960s property. From the initial contact right through to the project completion the communication was fantastic. The job started right on time and was completed in two days. Zack, Lee and Joe did a brilliant job, they were not phased when the house brought up unexpected surprises and they still managed to complete the job on time. I was so impressed with the finish and how tidy the house was when they left. If I could give more stars I would, arrived on time, quick walk around just to go over what I wanted done, I left my home at 7:45 got a phone call just after 4 and my full house was finished, walls plastered perfectly carpets back down every bit of mess picked and tidied, I cannot fault this company once single bit, if your wanting anything done I’d seriously recommend them.

Can’t rate Home Rewire highly enough, they were professional and friendly from start to finish. Our home is 150 years old and I have been worried about the safety of our wiring. Gary came out and walked round our house explaining everything that would be involved, asking us where we would like our new switches and sockets to be whilst offering us advice, warning us where to expect mess and disruption and guiding us through the whole process. He then came out again in the days before the rewire to explain where to move everything so they could get in and out as efficiently as possible and minimise the disruption. The job itself was done in just 3 quick days and while we moved out for the duration our neighbours commented on how hard the team worked. When we returned home the job was done exactly as described and although we had been warned to expect a lot of upheaval due to the age and layout of our house, the guys had moved mountains to keep this to an absolute minimum, finding alternative means to accessing areas so as to avoid damaging floors or a new ceiling we had recently fitted. The work was done to the highest standard and the house was left clean and tidy with everything labelled. Gary even sent us a wee video with a walk round explaining everything before they left. If you’re worried about the state of your electrics and need them checked and redone, don’t hesitate to use Gary, Mark and the rest of the team. They made a big job quick and painless and have taken a big weight off my mind as I now know my family is safe and our electrics fit for purpose.
