I have just hit 1137 classes at Hotpod Yoga Morpeth & that says it all - highly recommend! It’s a great community of people’s, the instructors are all fabulous and I love everything about it. Try it, you won’t regret it!

The classes themselves are incredible. The instructors have always been lovely, friendly and welcoming, the facilities are great, and we have absolutely no complaints about the teaching or staff. This one-star review is entirely about how management at Sheffield, and subsequently Hotpod Yoga HQ, handled our situation.

My fiancée and I paid around £470 for two 50-class passes, with 78 classes remaining unused.

Then my brother was diagnosed with cancer and our lives changed considerably. We moved to be closer to him, leaving Sheffield roughly a two-hour round trip away.

Importantly, we DIDN’T initially ask for a refund. We simply explained what had happened and asked for more time to use classes we'd already paid for. This would have had virtually no financial impact on the business.

Instead, we encountered pushback, repeatedly had to chase and eventually had a message completely unanswered. We were told the extension would be “sorted”, but received no confirmation. Only after escalating the matter to HQ was the extension finally confirmed.

By then, after hours of unnecessary correspondence during an already incredibly difficult period, neither of us felt comfortable continuing.

We therefore requested approximately £366, representing the unused proportion of what we'd actually paid. We weren't asking for classes we'd already used, compensation or anything extra.

Hotpod refused, relying on: “This pass can't be refunded.”

We have repeatedly challenged whether applying a blanket non-refundable term in these circumstances satisfies the fairness requirements of consumer law. In our view, simply writing “non-refundable” into a contract doesn't automatically make retaining the entire unused payment fair or enforceable.

In a final attempt to compromise, we even reduced our request to £300 in full and final settlement. That still wasn't resolved.

We are therefore now taking the matter through the formal legal process and will ask the court to determine whether Hotpod is entitled to retain the unused balance.

As a business owner myself, I genuinely struggle to understand how this was allowed to reach this point. A little empathy and sensible communication at the beginning could have avoided all of this. Instead, something that would originally have cost Hotpod virtually nothing has resulted in hours of correspondence and now a formal dispute.

Sadly, it has left us feeling that retaining the money mattered more than looking after two previously happy customers during exceptionally difficult circumstances.

That's particularly disappointing because the actual Hotpod experience is excellent and the instructors have been fantastic. Had management handled this differently, this could easily have been a five-star review.

Unfortunately, based on how this situation has been handled, I couldn't recommend the company.

This is our honest experience and we have retained the correspondence supporting it. If the situation is resolved or the court determines the matter, I will update this review accordingly.

I must confess that since joining the Swansea Hotpod I have become an addict! My day is not complete without a visit to the pod. The instructors are all so welcoming and kind!
The benefits of Hotpod go beyond just stretching but I feel so strong and also calm. It’s just the perfect way to unwind and give your mind and body time to reset.
I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Hotpod is easily one of my favourite places ever. As soon as I walk through the door, I feel a sense of calm and community. I have met some of my favourite people here over the last 6 years. 11/10 would highly recommend <3

I could not recommend hotpod yoga enough!

Over the years I’d dipped my toe in and out, but it was after I became a single mum and the loss of my grandmother (who I lived with over the years) that I was at my lowest. My nervous system became so dis regulated (even while taking anxiety medication) that I decided I needed to do something about the way I was feeling. Everyday was a struggle. In June 2025 I came off anxiety medication, found an amazing lady who does hypnotherapy counselling and got my hotpod yoga membership. I can’t tell you enough at how grateful I am to be able to now feel again and hotpod yoga has fully supported the regulation of my nervous system. I go twice a week and it’s the one thing I feel if I don’t stick with it, I start to feel overwhelmed again. The positions in class alongside with the breath work takes my mind away from over thinking and I’m always reminded I can come back to the breath in everyday life! I am not just surviving anymore, I’m thriving thanks to hotpod ❤️

How quickly this oasis of calm and positive energy has become part of my daily routine. Carefully choreographed classes have improved my strength, flexibility and balance – while the heat makes the sessions feel like a cardio workout.

Allie, the studio owner, has created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, overseeing a team of engaged and engaging instructors, many of whom have backgrounds in dance and performance. This is yoga at its most joyful, personal and effective. A Jewel of Belgravia.

I have been attending Hotpod Yoga Colchester for a while now and I am amazed every time i go to a class!! Every class feels different, tailored, mindful, challenging yet non judgmental, full of warmth love and acceptance! All the teachers are exceptional with their style!!! And I just went to Amy's class- It made me feel so spiritually grounded, in my energy, centred and relaxed - it felt like I returned home. Thank you Team!

Extremely unhappy with this company. We bought a 10 class pass so my wife could go when able then weeks later was told that the company was closing. Was unable to use the passes in time. Now being told we cannot have a refund and cannot transfer classes to another branch. Reached out to HOTPOD yoga and they were extremely dismissive.
Never again.

I was a loyal Hotpod Yoga Ipswich customer for a long time and loved attending classes with friends. However, after moving away for work, I requested to cancel my membership.

Despite this, I continued to be charged for two months and I am still waiting for a £200 refund. Communication has been extremely poor, with emails going unanswered for several weeks. Head Office says the studio owner has replied, but I have received nothing in my inbox or spam folder.

It is very disappointing to be treated this way after being a long-term customer. The classes were great, but the cancellation process and customer service have been extremely frustrating.

I would not recommend signing up for a membership, as cancelling it has been very difficult and my concerns have not been handled at all. Unprofessional customer service.

Swansea's HotPod is absolutely fantastic. I've been going for 18 months and the place is well kept, all of the teachers are knowledgeable and this is a place where one can truly switch off and dedicate themselves to yoga practice. Many thanks to Ana, Abbey, Helen, Charlie, Lowrie, Rachel and Carys (the yoga teachers I see regularly) for the amount of support and teaching they provide 🙏

I attend my first nurturing flow, with Charles at the Haymarket studio. Just wow! Absolutely loved the class, nice and warm, so relaxing and Charles explained the positions so clearly. Such a great yoga teacher! Felt amazing after the class, would 100% recommend 🫶

I've absolutely loved coming to Hotpod Yoga. The studio has such a welcoming atmosphere, and the instructors are friendly, encouraging and make everyone feel comfortable, regardless of experience.

The heated classes are amazing – challenging enough that you know you've had a good workout, but also incredibly relaxing. I always leave feeling stronger, less stressed and with a much clearer head.

It's become one of my favourite ways to switch off from the chaos of everyday life and take a bit of time for myself.

I'd highly recommend Hotpod Yoga to anyone, whether you're completely new to yoga or have been practising for years.

The studio is gorgeous, clean, tidy and will equipped. The instructors are WONDERFUL. They are helpful, kind and real masters of their trade. There are lots of great times of the classes too which is super helpful for me. I love the class so much that I signed up to become a founding member. Just for reference I have never committed to any physical activity in my whole 40 years of life. I have recommended to friends and family and shall continue to do so. Thank you again! Becky xx

I have been going to hot pod for years, it’s a good mix with strength training at the gym.
They cater for all levels which is great for a old timer like me :)

Amazing experience at Tottenham Hale Hot Pod. Loved the session and left feeling great.

This is the first bad review I have ever wrote about a company and I am gutted it is about Hotpod yoga as my experience with the yoga teachers themselves has always been tremendous. However, after now reading other reviews for this franchise I think I can see a common pattern emerging for their customer service.

My issue began in June when an email I sent asking to pause my membership was ignored because I had not been exact enough about dates (I had asked my membership to be paused for the month of July, it is still unclear why this was not exact enough). This led to me blocking payments to Hotpod as they tried to charge me for the month of July. My Hotpod account was then completely blocked with no access to booking classes. Over the next four months I had auto-send emails confirming the failed payments. This month I unblocked the payments and paid £45 for the month of November to begin Hotpod again. However, I was still unable to book classes so emailed to ask why. I then received an email saying I owed £225 in arrears!! I was completely baffled by this as I had not attended any yoga in 5 months whilst my account was blocked. I have tried repeatedly to reason with the manger but to no avail and she has made it very clear I will not be receiving any yoga for the £45 I paid her last week.

The manager is now threatening me with taking a ‘firmer line’ with me if I speak out about my experience. I would therefore advise everyone to avoid this company at all costs as a simple mistake (on their behalf) can lead to hundreds of pounds being demanded for the privilege of a blocked yoga account. I really hope this incident invokes a reflection on how the manager treats customers in the future as she has lost a loyal customer of over a year and a half.

I've been going to hotpod sessions for a number of weeks now and thoroughly enjoy it. Yes I thought the class fees were expensive, but as of this week they have further hiked the prices up.

Rather than putting out offers, please would you not consider keeping to the same class fees, and you will have the regulars coming in.

Sadly I don't fee that I can afford to come and attend a class at £17 a session which is a shame as I said I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and used to attend 2 to 3 times a week, but won't be attending now at that price.

I tried a class out here. The venue is easy to find, spacious and with nice toilets and showers. I was a bit surprised the teacher (Daisy) didn’t check if people were comfortable with hands on assists or offer much encouragement during the class. The flow was really brilliant, music was nice and the equipment provided is excellent. The class ran over a bit but that was ok for me. Will definitely come try some other classes.
